    This is such a lovely antidote to all the "listen to me I know stuff" reviews of things. You and Dave are like the popular voice of the You Tube guitar community. You do things so naturally and although you have loads of knowledge you never talk down to anybody. Your personality shines as brightly as your playing Cici. Thank you. PS that riff at 7:20 made me make a Mick Jagger face!

      @@CiciVonStrangelove Hi !!!
      Do you think it has enough volume for just stage volume in a live situation ?
      Like at least as loud as a stage monitor ?
      Just so I can hear the notes basically.
      I'd probably use both stage monitor and this Amp, so I'd imagine I'd be able to hear something...lol
      I don't have a way to try one, so I'll probably have to order it.
      Thanks for the video !!!
      :-)

      @@laptoples Hey! I’d say you’d probably struggle for hear it, or at the very least to hear it clearly, in a room with a drum kit and full size amps. I’ve not tried it but might be interesting to experiment with in a rehearsal room? :)

    Great overview, Cici, many thanks! I'm desperate to try one of these as I'm hoping the stereo speakers will mean that backing tracks I'll play along to will sound as good as they do when played through a dedicated Bluetooth speaker or hifi. On all my other dedicated bass amps, plugging my phone into the AUX input always makes the songs sound horrible (possibly due to the single speaker, ie not stereo sound?). Could you please comment on this? 🙏🙏

    I'd say it'd work for busking if you were backing up an acoustic guitarist...I have the old gray colored Roland Bass Cube 30 watt and have had it for decades.....it's great. I'm a guitarist so it suits my bass needs for studio recording fine ..it takes pedals nicely and is built like a tank. Glad you got a little practice amp Cici....it'll be very useful on journeys in the van I'd think or hotel rooms when gigging out of town.

    The I only thing I kind of don't understand, why the guitar version does have the "heavy octave" effect and the bass version does not... I would change the reverb for octave very happily :))) Awesome playing, btw. You are really an inspiration!

      Thank you so much, it means a lot to hear that :)

    • @TenFalconsMusic
      @TenFalconsMusic 2 года назад +2

      I agree.
      When playing in a loud band, a lot effects lose their nuances with the exception of octave & distortion.
      One octave down & 2 octaves up (1st & 2nd) would've been brilliant.
      😁👍

    • @CiciVonStrangelove
      @CiciVonStrangelove  2 года назад +1

      @@TenFalconsMusic I suppose the counter argument to that is it’s unlikely you’re going to be playing in a loud band with a 10 watt amp. But hey I rarely play without reverb so I am biased! :)

    • @ondrejkauzal8969
      @ondrejkauzal8969 2 года назад +1

      @@CiciVonStrangelove I was thinking, maybe the small sized speakers also wouldn't handle the very low frequencies produced by an octaver very well. Anyway, I agree that this is probably not meant as a tool for playing in a big loud band :) I think, it could be very fun to use to jam somewhere outdoors with friends or at a campfire (which is very fun with a bass actually!). But no Sledgehammer then :)

    • @ondrejkauzal8969
      @ondrejkauzal8969 Год назад

      @@CiciVonStrangelove Hello Cici, may I have a question? Actually, based also on your review, I decided to get this thing. And I love it, I mainly use it with my acoustic bass outside with friends and it is lot of fun. With the acoustic bass and in a campfire situation, I never really turn this thing way up in volume, it is not necessary and then, the bass will start feedbacking anyway. But with regular bass, I noticed that when I turn the volume lets say more than a third up, the speakers start to distort the sound quite unpleasantly. Do you have the same problem? Is it a feature of such a small amp or is mine faulty? Thanks for help.

      @CiciVonStrangelove  Месяц назад

      @@PLT123 Haha I may be misremembering but I’m pretty sure it has a tuner if you hold down one of the buttons, which then works using the three lights on the looper section of the amp. This is what they had on the original Roland bass cube, I have a feeling it’s on this as well but don’t quote me 🤣

      Hey, sorry to hear about that. They’re all over RUclips on loads of channels at the moment, Dave has put up several posts about it warning people. I think people just need to be aware that, unless the channel mentions they’re running a competition, and unless you entered it, the channel probably isn’t running a competition and people can’t win something they didn’t enter. Also that the names of the people/bots making posts don’t have the same name as the channels they claim to be.
