Voith or ZF? I think you mean Voith. He does have training videos for the ZF ECOMAT fully-automatic transmission, but I don't know about the semi-automatic one.
Lee B there isn’t a zf or voith semi automatic. Semi auto was a modified self changing gears unit. The semi, and fully auto were physically the same unit, but controlled differently. To set up a fully automatic SCG , you need specialist tools to adjust the throttle dip, and the “brain” that shifts the gears. Older bus companies that used to run these machines MAY still have such equipment, but this was so long ago now, that it’s unlikely. most people modify the fully auto, to a semi auto to improve reliability, and longevity. Easy to do using a semi auto gear selector, and some 7 core trailer cable connected to where the “brain” used to be.
Hi Dan my name is Patrick I'm very interested in your knowledge of the L10 I'm currently Restoring a 1991 peterbilt 375 day cab equipped with a LTA 10 would you consider Compensation for consolidation Regards Patrick
Patrick Cancel Hi, I found this video in a skip and thought somebody, somewhere might find it useful so put it on RUclips. I'm afraid my personal knowledge of this engine is zero. Good luck with your restoration. Dan
Patrick Cancel though I’m from England where we don’t have many peterbilt trucks, even I know you can’t beat a sweet Pete! Leyland bus and truck are now owned by paccar so I’m sure they or Cummins would be able to help you.
smiffy1071 only the trucks are owned by Paccar and RHD production is still based in Leyland. Leyland Bus was taken over by Volvo in 1988 but Leyland production still continued until the early 90s
Everything repairable, no planned failing... Ah, merry times they were!
Holy cow I use to work on these buses in London in 1980s
The L10 was quite a sophisticated engine; overhead cam, four valves per cylinder, when many were still pushrod
Those engines look so clean.
excellent video.thanks for sharing.can you say what is the name of the music at the beginning and by whom it was done.
I heard intro......I said GAMETIME!!!!
Η L10 ηταν αθορυβη και πολυ ευελεκτη μηχανη και οικονομικη στα καυσιμα
