In the video, 8:14-8:21 featured Tri Axal Volvo Olympian 11M (A/C) demonstrator, which was FW5572-(Fleet Number: AV1) of Hong Kong Kowloon Motor Bus-(KMB).
Well spotted!
The Volvo bus is similar to the Dennis version that was available as well. Stagecoach bus (owns Magicbus in Manchester), also had 3 axle Dennis buses before being sent to Kenya for several years. Those buses came back, and were used for a while until Stagecoach bought low floor versions due to DDA rules.
Brilliant Video In An Ideal World But Which Large Operator Of All These Variants Had The Time Or The Man Power To Keep A Vehicle Off The Road For That Length Of Time
The prototype code for Volvo Olympian 11M (A/C) demonstrator is 53.80...
H104BFR is a Leyland Olympian surely? I thought the Volvo Olympian had Volvo hubs and brakes?
H104 BFR is indeed a Leyland Olympian, new to Preston Bus in 1991. However, a Volvo Olympian chassis was used for the training content of this video.
