Keep in mind, this isn't an accurate demonstration of how powerful the powers are, only what they are. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the enemy players were at a lower health simply do demonstrate the powers without making the powers look useless.
The test subjects had half their blood taken away before the test, just so they looked powerful.

Bastion has a great concept by going from mobile assault to a stationary turret for some heavy fire

But overall, this seems cool. But it will never beat the charm and "fucking around" feeling of TF2 along with all the skills it offers for you to master. (rocket jumping, corner stabbing, degreaser & flare gun pyro, etc.)

I play a lot of TF2 and this does not look like TF2 to me, maybe except the dwarf looks like something inspired from TF2 engy, but that wont make this game feel like TF2 I think.

BungiePhantom sick of seeing comments of people trying to relate this game to TF2. EVERY CHAT on EVERY Overwatch video.. Someone says, omg, this character is a ripoff from TF2. or OMG, this gun is a rip off from TF2. but seriously tho, stop being a fanboy. As far as i know, every game with support type characters having healing and buff abilities are used in one form or another. The repair tool in a game called Dust514 acts like it, and its a game made by the developers of EVE online which (im pretty sure) has been around long before TF2. im pretty sure that the medi-gun from TF2 was inspired by another game before that creation of team fortress.

The only thing i could complaine about: HANZOS ULTIMATE
-covers a giant area
-insta kill
-fast to trigger (you dont have to stand still for a long time like McCree)
-goes through walls, means you cant hide from it (your only way to survive it is, hope you are in a position to dodge it, which could be kinda difficult when you think about the giant area it covers)
-Torbjörn, Reinhardt, Bastion and Zarya have no chance to dodge it, and since it travels through shields, they just have to accept they will die froom it and have no chane to EVER get away from it

Plenty of people who have played the game first hand have come out and said that Hanzo's "ultimate" behaves like a DoT. Not an instakill, that was just for trailer demostration/hype purposes.
The problem for me right now is everyone feels so OP. I don't want just this COD feel where you instantly get killed and respawn

It takes a long time to charge up an Ultimate. So long that the charge meter has to be kept filled through lives just to have a chance of building one up.

I thought Zenyatta looked dumb at first going by one of the other videos but after I watched this one I think he seems pretty cool.
I love the way his orbs just fall to the ground and roll about when he dies.

+The Chicken Nugget The idea is that she wins fights that she picks herself, but if she is collapsed on or taken by surprise then she loses the fight. The assault rifle isn't anywhere near as strong as Soldier 78's at medium range and Reaper/Tracer outdamage her at close range so she needs to play by her long range strengths.
It doesn't change that some people will still camp with her, but the idea is she has to be mobile around the battlefield as characters in this game have a lot of ways to close gaps and punish positioning. There's strategy to it is all I'm saying.
This is seriously going to be the best game blizz has released in forever.

I like how the maps seem a little "dynamic" in a way.For example when pharaoh was shooting the rocket launcher randomly the pots were getting destroyed or pushed off of the table

Santos Alonso This is an arena shooter... it's supposed to be fast paced. Something blizzard is trying and kudos to them for doing good on it. Look up games like Unreal Tournament or Quake to understand how fast this game could be...

Seems like Reinhardt is just what the Retribution Paladin should've been: a warrior with ranged capabilities and more defensives at the slight cost of melee devastation.
Also, poor Pharah.... She says she wants to protect the innocent, but she just has a knockback, a glide and a missile barrage. Nothing really helping her defensively, unless the armor acts as passive mitigation.
The most important question that everyone need to ask for this game is....
....Does it have hats?

The one thing I've noticed and appreciated about this game so far is the fair spread of demographics of all the characters and the non-stereotyping of women (which is a rare thing to find in games now days).
If they would add a custom class aspect or an upgrade aspect that would be amazing..adds an attachment to the character you play.
I can already imagine all the sorta crazy stunts people will do with Tracer just by flipping the mouse REALLY quickly.
She probably dies easily though like the Scout in TF2. I'm definitely worried about class balance but I think they will pull it off ok.

Almost any weapon can completaly shred her apart.
Okay...I thought I wouldn't like Tracer because of her obnoxious personality...but that full showcase of her powers was totally badass...
I think Reaper and Tracer will be meant as beginner heroes while be meant for people that are skilled. Not saying that they aren't easy to use but they won't be beginner easy.

Looks like every character is op offensively and underpowered defensively. Being fast paced is fine as long as people don't die instantly and things are balanced. Don't know if this game has a future in competitive

3 years later and they changed the whole cast and made hero’s equally worse and un playable , I miss the how graphics and characters looked like back then and they use to talk a lot during the game but now they don’t

tracer will be the best class hands down. she has the best mobility And the best oh shit button that counters all the other classes special ability. her ability to bypass defensives makes her all the more powerful

I played and loved TF2 ever since it first came out. Many many years of great memories with TF2. But i'm ready for a change, Overwatch is going to be awesome, This game is just the upgraded version of TF2. And made by a developer that is known not for rushing games. I applaud this.
I hope Blizzard makes this game really modifiable buy the fans like warcraft3 was. That is what makes a game long standing like TF2. Otherwise games like this genre die in a couple years.

I hope they'll make a direct healer (Zenyatta seems like more of a general support class than a direct healer) character that is not a magical fairy girl soon. I definitely want to heal but I don't think I could run around as a fairy. It'd be cool if they make a crazy looking shaman/voodooish character to be a healer.

This shouldn't surprise me but Blizzard made a character based off WOW dwarfs.
I could just imagine a fight over the TF2 Team and the Overwatch Team. TF2 mercs would probably get there asses kicked, with the vast abilities the Overwatch characters have and how much health for certain characters.
Not sure how I feel about the insta-kill power moves. Kind of feels like on demand krits but your not likely to miss. Just seems like it would cheapen an otherwise good battle. The rest looks good.
I also find the decision to give the sniping classes wall hacks a bit troubling. With so little in the game in the way of stealth there doesn't seem to be a good enough hard counter to the snipers.
Robo - tetanus The thing is, the wallhack is an ultimate move, so it's very rare, and the insta kills power moves are also ults, and they are way less OP as shown in the vid.

a lot of very cool ideas. will be interesting to see how these develop as far as effectiveness during actual gameplay, not just against targets standing still or purposely setting up gameplay demo footage. Im also concerned about limited amount of maps that MOBAs typically have where some characters, although very cool, will have no use in those maps. I believe you can switch characters during the match, that is going to be awesome. I can see some great matches that have teams switching play style many times. one thing that I really hate about TF2 is there is no cap on any one character. for instance you see pubs with 5 snipers and 5 engineers, just makes for horrible experience for one who is trying to play the game the way its supposed to be played. I hope they take care of that in overwatch.

My favorite characters are : Hanzo, Reaper, Widowmaker, tracer and Zenyetta. Though i feel like the ultimates are unbalanced. Hanzo has this long range instakill dragon that goes through walls,reaper has invunrability and kills everything, while Zenyetta has transcendance which gives its team some fucking armour and the tank reinhardt? he has this medium ranged stuns, i think they need to rework some ulties?
Hanson doesn't always insta kill, it's loud, and it's slow. Reindheart is op as all shit, and reaper can be killed by any well placed shot. Symmetry can only shield 1 person and can be killed quickly. I feel mecy will be op actually. A full team heal on cart push.

I honestly don't think of this as a ripoff of TF2, they have their similarities sure, but in my opinion, it's a first-person Smite. Think about it, tons of classes, no new weapons for old classes, you eliminated so-and-so in the top center.
