I can tell you the price of a carbon wheel: £7,500 for a front and £9,000 for a rear. I've had two crack now, utterly useless things, but my god, they look great.

@@defnotatroll hmm even though I like it as well, prefer the rounded lights on the Pista and F12, did not appreciate much them removing the signature round lights (rear), double lights or single, like on the Lusso, F12 etc really like those lights. The GTB did not like the rear lights that much but its a looker as well
A few years ago while walking home from work saw a Pista as the owner was climbing out. A really nice man allowed me to see inside and take a few pictures, stunning car
I’ve owned mine over 2 years and been to Italy twice in it. Massive frunk 3 large bags. Very refined. I’ve also had a 720s no competition Pista is 2-3 secs faster around goodwood and feels 100% more special and has lost no money. Amazing. I run my Gold wheels on Pilot sports and my carbon on cup 2s.

Its so beautiful honestly. Last year we were out eating at a fancy Restaurant where we only go for really special occasions and there was a dark blue Pista in the parking lot. I literally couldnt take my eyes off it
I used to have a 458 Italia, and my 488 GTB was just so much better in everyway minus the noise! I upgraded to a Pista and just loving it. I traded my 458 and got one of the highest spec 720S and loving it also....!

Saw one of these about a week ago with the number plate 'P4STA' in Sydney. Ridiculously expense and always several for sale, but prices have noticibly declined in the last 12 months.

I agree. The 488 was the last truly pretty Ferrari. The Portofino and the 812 are ok. So is the Roma but I would never buy one before an interior facelift.
@@flavioc5389 The 296 has a nice shape, but the front is ugly, the rear is horrible, the interior is a nightmare, it's a hybrid and a V6. So it doesn't even count. NOBODY wants a Ferrari for a Hybrid or a V6.

I have been lucky enough to have had a 458 Speciale and a 488 Pista sat in the garage together, recently a new car arrived so something had to go, and I waved goodbye to the 458 Speciale. I know many will say that’s nuts, but like your benefactor, I prefer the Pista to drive.
Have a similar dilemma coming up. I borrowed the 296 for a week but can’t say I enjoyed it and just didn’t feel quick ( even though it is!) It will also drop in value unlike the pista. But for some weird reason I still want the 296 😁

You do realise that’s a VERY old model year (red ticks) 720S, predating all the Model Year 2019 hardware and software updates. Those early cars could be glitchy and temperamental.

You hate the stripe, non c’è problema - just use a sharp razor blade to scrape it off. Works like a charm. I'd just say that to me, any high pitched wail is unbearable - I'm super sensitive to high pitch sounds. So that would be a Ferrari for me. Then again, I prefer to have a nice house instead.
Too many Pistas are in Rosso Corsa, and it's just not the right colour in my book. Colours like this Rosso Coburn, Blu Elettrico or Viola Hongkong is perfect. They accentuate Pista's stunning details. Maybe not the last truly great-looking Ferrari (296 in my eyes looks fantastic), but Pista is certainly one of the best. Standard 488 isn't ugly but it looks a little too meek. Pista is anything but meek.
Good looking Ferrari but a bit disappointed with that engine note. Great gearbox. Was the person at Ferrari having a bad day when they named it. Feeling Pista off.😅
Ah! I now know which Ferrari the Lotus Emira was trying to almost outright copy in design. Lotus are wonderful cars, but the Emira is certainly not inspiring or fresh to look at. The interior design and handling are wonderful, however.
That gigantic S duct in the frontend is what makes this car fugly to me. The way the hood drops off into that gaping hole is hideous, IMO. The rest of the car is nice and I'm sure it's amazing to drive. 488s are stupid fast, can't imagine this thing.
Is that an outrageously short life? My old Boxster S used to get through the “Approved” Pirelli P Zero Nero tyres in around 8-10,000 miles, and a set of them cost more than 10% of the cars value. Spending £2k on tyres every couple of years on a £200k Ferrari seems quite reasonable to me…
I hate to say this because i love Ferrari's, even if they aren't as special as the used to be, but.. this looks like a Chevrolet corvette.. and i can't figure out which one should be insulted by that comment.. 😂
I don't know but the 458 and 488 never ticked any boxes for me. Not in a million years could I afford any of them, but I'd rather have the 296 over these. Or some lovely Ferrari V12 GT model.

488 GTB is 90% of a Pista for half the price in the US. Tough to justify that price difference as you say unless you really have the money.

I totally disagree. Though this turbo V8 with the OEM exhaust here is not the best.
I don't know but the 458 and 488 never ticked any boxes for me. Not in a million years could I afford any of them, but I'd rather have the 296 over these. Or some lovely Ferrari V12 GT model.
