Bob: *fights off biological horrors like a pro*
Also Bob: “this is a Korvax”
😂😂😂
😂
They really nerfed the Biological Horrors, they just kinda putter around and occasionally strike. Used to be they would blast you a half mile away from where you stood lol.
The eggs having a bigger hitbox for pickups helps a ton too. I do the all the eggs in the nest at once now cus you don't even have to be looking at them to pick them up.
You made me get back into no man’s sky and I am so happy the community is awesome and the game has improved so much since the last time I played
That’s great!
Depending on what you need.....installing and destroying salvage ship upgrades can provide wiring looms .....or sell them for nanites ....
Keep them coming, there is so much I had forgotten about this game, but then again the updates have changed it so much, I remember there being sentinels right when you start and you had to sneak around to collect all the resources you needed repair your starter ship. They fired at you if they saw you mining or destroying stuff.
Thanks buddy! I plan on it!
Sounds like you spawned on an aggressive planet. Every playthrough is different in this game. Sentinels sounds fun. My favorite "hard" start so far was on an extremely poisonous planet. Had to keep hiding in caves and recharging my hazmat. Was a struggle. But that's what made it fun
@@nathantoews152 every game starts on a hazardous planet to teach the player about the hazard protection mechanic but iirc sentinels won't spawn on the first planet anymore.
@hawk 7886 good to know. I don't think it always worked this way, though. I could be wrong. I haven't really played much since the launch of the game. That's why I'm watching this playthrough to see if I'm interested in the game now that it's had so many updates.
@@nathantoews152 - I'd highly recommend you give NMS another bash - You're at the right place as far as "tute" play-throughs are concerned, too.
I remember that first start in the original release or the patch before the base-building. NMS changed drastically for the better once the base-building stuff came in. Hello Games has "maintained that rage" since - in a good way.
- NMS is out of sight of where they were at the original release. There's so much stuff to do in NMS now ... and the Devs keep adding more! The expeditions help to "keep it fresh", as well.
When you’re picking the random password options to open the base computer, from what I’ve seen it’s always either the top option, middle, or end. So what I do is click on the first one, if that’s wrong then click on the second, and if that’s wrong then click on the third. That should be a 100% open rate.
That seems to be the case! It’s positional which annoys me because I want it to make sense.
Bob it’s so good to have you back Bob genuinely I was worried about you man hope all is well in the land of bob
Thank you my friend! It's been good to be back. I missed this community! You guys have been so welcoming and good to me!
Some day, I'd love to see a new save that you use other people's bases to gather supplies to shorten the start process of you ever run out of new save ideas.
Showing new players how to make use of our awesome community during the early hours showcases all the hard work the community puts in and primes new players to check out other people's bases.
Loved the dramatic music during the larval core pickups. Made the adventure more intense. Another great episode. Thanks so much for being the Best of all Bobs.
Yeah, I agree. I did that last time and people complained. I went to the resource depot from the Anomaly.
@SurvivalBob We don't want people complaining now, do we... Thanks for replying. Guess we're the minority. It's all good, and I'm checking out the other game you played too see what the deal is. If Bob likes it, likely Bud will like it too. Be well
Thanks for the video. Btw in case you did not know, you can now often go into first person and get bones and salvaged data without digging for them. Works for me 80% to 90% of the time.
Cool, thanks! I'll have to check that out!
Also the cargo containers at crashed freighters!
Does anyone know how that started happening? I noticed it on the buried caches this update, but I have no idea what changed.
@@bobjob2514 It was before this update, but I don't know by how much. My first guess is that it was done (if intentional) to work around things spawning under the 'bedrock' layer.
@@datwongai3903 That always ticked me off!
Honestly love this so much I had to watch it on my work breaks and restart myself when i got home. Haven't played in almost 2 years and I'm 8 hours into my new save 😅. The corrupted planet I found looks awesome! Good luck on your journey Traveler!
Welcome back! Glad you are enjoying it!
Been a while since I checked out a 'standard' (non-expedition) playthrough - Wow - four episodes before I heard a "that's what _she_ said!" 🤣
Glad I picked up this series - Got at least a couple of extra tips on recent changes I didn't really notice when doing Singularity expedition 🍻
Loved the "larval core speedrun"! - I read in other comments here that this is made possible because Hello Games dialled back the horrors a bit
Good show Bob. Cant wait til you find the new ships.
Been loving this series so far bro😊
Glad to hear it!
The disk I used to play No Man's Sky on broke. Fortunately, the digital version was on sale on the PlatStation Store.
Oh wait, crashed freighters no longer steal from you? Excellent!
Epic egg harvesting music you got there Bob.
I never bothered with the free tech from the Base Computer because I didn't want to wait around for 1.5h or to keep coming back. It broke my exploration flow and enjoyment. Since they sped it up I might actually do it now
Free is good!
Thanks again man! You're videos are so good, I started playing again! I totally forgot about it being playable now that I have a series x now!
Glad I could help! And welcome back!
My meaty chunks get pretty sweaty running around all day, it's no wonder he found them unpleasant.
for base archives, I believe the right "encryption break" is based off the location in the list, so you can just try the first option, second option, third option until one works
You’re right. I tested it and that seems to be the case.
@@SurvivalBobGaming Yup! The words change but the position of the correct answer does not, which is nice -- no more than three guesses required. 🤔
Isn't it always just trade words in a gek system, war words for a vykeen system, and research words for kovax? Or was it just coincidence in the 4 I went to?
Bob Jason named his multi tool BOB OBLITERATER
Oh, don’t worry. He’ll get something named after him. Lol
I love all of your vids! Love the new playthroughs! I love the Interceptor update! I am with ya Bob! My favorite alien race is Vy'keen! Then it goes Korvax, Travellers, & last the Gek! After playing through the game & learning their history I really hate the Gek! The Gek remind me of Goblins from other fantasy games I have played! I am looking forward to watching all 14 of these in your series! You are the Best Survival Bob throughout all time!
Thank you my friend!
Nice run, however, while I don't judge you on your backroom bush excursions . . . I mean, tappin' it three times? Oh My!
I admit stamina ain’t what it used to be. But this is just a game so…🤷🏻♂️😂
At the crashed freighters there are 4-5 Cargo Pods to get - just scan and dig them up (in case you weren't aware)
Yes! I got them. Thanks! The loot isn’t super great. I think I showed one or two.
Glad ur back. By far my favorite nms streamer.
Good to be back! I appreciate that!
I got my first sentinel ship today the hard way by taking out a sentinel mothership. Didn't realise the thing was throwing out infinite fighters. lol
Man that was a good Solar ship, might have been worth scrapping the Pillar to fix.
You also forgot to research a Plasma recipe so you can actually use that stun mortar.
I thought about it. Plasma is easy enough to buy though.
@@SurvivalBobGaming oh thats true, its for sale everywhere. The Coors Light of No Man's Sky. Lol
22:35 Whenever a computer forces you to guess, it's not really the word you have to guess, but the *position* of the word in the menu. Try the first option on the first attempt, the second option on the second attempt, and the third option on the third attempt, and you're guaranteed to succeed in three attempts or fewer.
Wow, I have never seen a resource deposit as small as the one you farmed in this episode. That took all of 3 seconds to decimate.
If you're going to be a Bob, have fun with it. And remember, aim well when trying to get in that hole.
I almost said stop cock blocking me…😂
@@SurvivalBobGaming 🤣 more like cockpit blocking. 😉
Oh! Imma remember that! 😂
Thanks Bob, great vid as per usual.
Love the series Bob, I've just resumed my long lost save 😅
I've just noticed that the multi tool I gave has a damage potential of over 6000 S class 😮 and I got it luckily in the 1st hour of a 180 hour save lol
Awesome!
Thumbs up as usual Bob, love your vids.
2:14, Dong forget to use your scanner for other Crates. You may find between 1 and 4 other hidden chests burried during the crash.
There’s 6 at each crash always In the same spots. 4 in the main area, i in the smaller area by the ship and one outside the large area to the left. I got them I just cut it out repetitive stuff for time.
24:25 I'd pick Conflict Scanner there. I think that's why you don't see sentinels status on planets including when they are corrupted.
24:50 And learn Barrel Fabricator at Wall Screen tab. Maybe even alongside Crate Fabricator. Unlike the rest they are not merely a decorations.
27:50 Not really important, I'd say. You can recharge them with raw materials like Sodium, if I'm not mistaken, and that's only around 80. So, just an alternative way to recharge the shields since require different resources to make. ...now when I think about it this actually might be important on higher difficulties. I'm playing on Normal for now, so haven't learned to appreciate things like this yet, I suppose. Especially considering those two resources are really easy to get from asteroids.
Literally never had a conflict scanner and I can see sentinel status when scanning planets. I may be misunderstanding you.
Good points on those fabricators.
Honestly I’ve been playing mostly Permadeath before this series. You may be right about the sodium in normal mode.
@@SurvivalBobGaming I really should try it on permadeath one day.
And yes, I was wrong about conflict scanner. I usually check things in the game before telling what I think when I'm not sure, yet didn't check this one.
3:41, Not sure if they patched this yet, but on Console you cand use your Terain Manipulator to Dig Out under the nests to avoid being attacked by these creatures. That way you dont have to fight to get the Cores.
It’s still there. Been that way for years on all platforms. It’s worth the time on Permadeath. They are so easy on Normal, that I quit bothering with it. I tend to go fast though. 😄
Never fill up your bioreactor with carbon. Just add 1-5 units.
Loving this series! Your vids are a lotta fun to watch :D
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying them!
Remember, solar panels work no matter where you put them. Outside, naturally. Inside, somehow. Underground. Yes, they work underground too.
lol, yeah I know people that burry them.
Daily quicsilver quests give 400 now. It's been a while since they were 250.
Damn, forgot about that. Thanks!
Why not name the multitool Jason Slayer 9000 🤔
You've probably slayed him that many times at *least* over the years 😂
Bob, you need to learn to make Unstable Plasma for your Paralysis Mortar.
I’ll just buy it for now.
Another great video, do you have any strategies in place to make money since the old ship trading method doesn’t work anymore?
You can always rob the freighters in Outlaw systems and sell the cargo.
Crashed interceptor ships scrap for a minimum of 30 mil.
Doing some research on where to sell certain things I found a big picture with list of rare things and the solar system economies to buy and sell them in, so you can buy things like Comet drops cheap in a trading economy and sell for heaps in an Advanced materials economy. Turned my 2 million credits into 27 mil just today and it wasn't the only thing i did. Just stock up on a full stack of warp fuel and you'll be set
The wiki has a good article on "trade routes" that'll explain it well, and if you scroll down the google results you'll find a website called no mans sky resources that has the picture I use to hop around, it's got the bonus of having the expensive items listed so you can combine loot from freighters into the places you can sell them best as lost of the best freighter loot is the expensive regional items you can in high demand areas.
Instead of making a circle route I've been just jumping around to new systems to buy exosuit slots at space stations so I've basically tripled my inventory while printng easy money
One last tip is use the down arrow on the d pad of your controller to change the galaxy map filter to economy, then you can visually link the economy types to the colours used on trade route example pictures.
Shhh! I’m doing that next time. 😂
Wait, you mean you can't scrap ships for double what you paid for them any more?
Wait! Artemis left you a crashed Solar!?
Cheapskate always left me a shuttle or similar shit
I’m Bob. 🤷🏻♂️😂
that g string on your pants bothers me XD
because you like it so much?
If you warp to a dissonant system as part of the quest you dont actuslly get a dissonant planet
Yay Bob!
Artimis will be fine where they are, no need to hurry.
Love your videos!!❤❤
Thank you!
Awesome Bob
I was at your base less than 24 hours ago but I didn’t place that comm ball
Did you see it?
Yeah
Dammit bob how's the beard?
bruh...I gave up.
Must be a whole galaxy better than 7000.
Everyone should feed Cronus Meaty Chunks 🤣
Also, do you happen to have glyphs for the solar you found?
I don't think I recorded it, but it was my second system. I'll try to remember to show it.
I'm really surprised how fast the jetpack recharges while you're mid air while even not having the airburst engine tech installed ! how is it possible ?
I do have Airburst
o7 Survival Bob
8:50 stay classy
Still amazes me how a game with a grand total of 3 polygons and -2 fov can´t handle 60 fps constantly. No Man´s Sky is totally something.
that mutitool is so cool looking
Thanks! I really like it too!
How can you find your crashed ship if you didn’t fix it first and went to another planet
Just call it in on planet or in the Anomaly.
Okay, I have to ask. How does everyone play? I guess i mean, does everyone play online or offline?
I play offline when recording but online when it’s just for fun
The multitool should be 9001, so you can say "It's over 9000!" :)
But it’s not as good as the Gek blaster 10,000
Damnit! I'll have to be on the lookout for that one! lol
how much did get this game for?
Enjoy the video. Hope you're taking care of yourself.
Thank you, I’m trying to!
This game makes starfield look like a sick joke, the depth is unreal and the freedom of exploration is second to none. And at least the story has some mystery to it lol
Yeah, but ship customization has been nice in Starfield.
@SurvivalBobGaming very true, maybe that's something no mans sky lacks in I will agree 🤙 cheers for the reply Bob, I always enjoy your great and easy going videos, keep it up 🤘
I've always assumed that Artemis and Selene identify as female, considering they're named after Greek goddesses.
That's still just an assumption tbh
Actually I'd classify it as headcanon. In my head, their voices in the translator are female. And you know, humans can't tell female Geks or Vy'keen from males. For all we know, one or both of them could be matriarchal societies.
