    You off roaders never cease to amaze me on how you eat better than a 5 star restaurant

      Ha, half the fun is the cooking and eating 🤷‍♂️ on these trips.

    I don't see many vidz w/ rigs towing overlanding trailers much....trails too tight? Do? Don't? I run an '06 GX470, Dobison IMS lift, tow a Opus OP2.

    • @prospectoverland
      @prospectoverland  8 месяцев назад

      yeah not many, the trailers are so expensive these days. its almost like buying a whole other vehicle sometimes.
      I personally am a fan and wouldn't mind owning one....Especially for the more mild overland trips, beach camping, national parks etc. Maybe leave it at home if doing something extreme but with my size truck I don't do anything too extreme anyway.
      The con for me is having to drive 55mph in CA and a place to store it at home. potentially another payment, registration, maintenance, insurance etc.
      I am a fan of those GX's though ever since watching @lifestyleoverland.

      Thanks for checking it out.
      Sometimes, not because we don’t want to hang out with new folks, but it just gets harder and harder to film the more people that join. There is lots of starting and stopping on the trail to get the video, and then people are talking and playing music at camp which doesn’t work well for having good audio. So it just ends up making things more difficult from a video production stand point.

    What trail was the water crossing?

    • @prospectoverland
      @prospectoverland  9 месяцев назад

      I don’t know the actual name of it but is the one and only option to get out to Sheep Canyon. Trail head starts off of dead end of Di Giorgio Rd in Borrego

    What was the brand and etc of the movie screen and projector?

    • @prospectoverland
      @prospectoverland  Год назад

      Sorry I have no idea. It belong to someone else in the group. But it was just a simple like $100 one off Amazon’s. One of those little mini ones.
      And the screen was just literally a white sheet we stretched out.

    Over the top. Seem to really ruin the outdoor vibe with boom boxes and lights. lot of light pollution and noise pollution there to me really destroying what its truly all about but to each their own glad you're having fun. Now I realize why everyone thinks you need all those drawers and compartments.

    • @goonytunes4119
      @goonytunes4119 Год назад +3

      Definitely disagree, it's nice to be outside and not feel like you're hanging out outside the whole entire time. This setup was awesome for hanging out at night and cooking, I love it!

    • @prospectoverland
      @prospectoverland  Год назад

      Like you said, to each their own... most trips, actually no other trips, were this planned out and coordinated with food, games, movie etc. We have had plenty of trips with zero set up, eat some left over's and go to sleep. But this is what we as a group decided this weekend so we went for it and it turned out to be a lot of fun. I love my storage drawers, I'm not a rock crawler or going 100 mph through the desert so having plenty of storage and comforts are our thing. If you check out the Yosemite video you can see we had hardly any setup.

    • @prospectoverland
      @prospectoverland  Год назад +1

      Yeah sometimes the full set up is fun, sometimes its a total drag to put that stuff out and tear it all down. This was a camping trip, not an off roading trip. We stayed put for I think 3 days, so it was well worth the set up and we had a great time. Thanks for checking out the video.
