- This is the full soundtrack for Top Gear 2 on the SEGA Genesis. It was recorded from a real SEGA Genesis model 1 for the best audio quality possible. This version of the soundtrack isn't bad but the title theme is really missing the benefits that stereo can provide.

В 95м году играли в эту игру. Как сейчас помню! Музыка божественная!

Эх, было время... Рассказываю свою историю.
Это были года 2004-2012. Сейчас мне 25 лет.
Помню, на лето в деревню ездил и там с пацанами в деревне у парнишки рубились в сегу, днём начинали, заканчивали вечером) Прерывались только на обед сходить и потом опять к нему приходили.
Как же было лампово, Господи. Рубились в Sonic 3D, Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate. Человек 5-6 сидели перед одним телевизором и играли по очереди, паралельно рофлили со всякой хуйни) Нам было очень весело и охуенно в целом.
Беззаботное детство. Я бы многое отдал, чтобы вернуться в то время.
Тоже рубились с пацанами в начале нулевых. Как же было охеренно. Щас мне 31.
плюсую, только в городе собирались, но орали так же . с мк3 ульты - доброе ,свободное время от забот и ответственности.
Да было все тоже собирались гурьбой, сидели днями напролет, в нашем ПГТ сначала рубились все в денди с 93 по 96г , потом модная стала сега и рубились все в нее года так до 98, пока плойка не пришла на смену

Да, тоже помню, с отцом, дядей рубился в Sonic, Golden Axe, Mortal. Сейчас тоже время от времени играю с младшим братом, показываю, какие игры тогда были. Иногда сам тоже ностальгирую и играю. Но то время было совсеееем другим)

I love how this soundtrack has a unique and awesome sound to it when compared to the SNES version (one of my all time favs)
It sounds "Unique" because the genesis had a crappy sound chip. Imagine a fork with twisted and tied up tines , it's rather useless. Buddha once said "Being unique doesn't make you useful. Rainbow hair makes people look crazy". 🙂👌🏾
SNES sounds just like stock midi library while genesis has an FM synthesizer on board
@Haywood Jablomie The Mega Drive don't have a crappy sound chip, some devs just didn't know how to use it properly. Check the soundtrack of Thunder Force 4, Devil's Crush or Batman and Robin.

Genesis version sound is awesome!
If you play TG2 on the Sega Genesis and think the soundtrack is better than the SNES, you might be missing some benefits that stereo can provide.
I've played it on sega mega drive 2, and honestly it's way better.. Listened to both versions.. maybe im biased coz this is my 1st version :)@@calebalves82

Ох мой Бог, как это было давно, сидел с двумя братьями проходили эту игру. Саундреки просто бомба пишу ещё не зная какая моя любимая песня, прозвучит пока я слушаю 3 в списке я считаю,. Потому что, по воспоминаниям так помню, могу ошибаться, но навратли
Lol yeah, I remember thinking, "Where's the talking?" when I first heard this one. I agree that the SNES overall has the better soundtrack, but the Canterbury Plains tune sounds much better on the Genesis in my opinion.
But then again, I think the regular Amiga version beats out both console ports for that song.
I agree, Canterbury Plains in this version does sound better than the SNES one. I might even prefer the it over the regular Amiga version but there both good.
The sound quality is better in Amiga and SNES. But the music is better in Genesis version.

Canterbury Plains is how my phone ring...only few of people in bar recognise this music...we was drunk as hell after that...sega connecting people ❤️

Waoo esas son buenas notas en todo el juego!!! Fue uno de mis favoritos en ese tiempo! Eh oído remix que han echo hoy en día con instrumentos y es asombroso poder escucharlos todos sus tracks fueron geniales,,recién escuché que Alan Parson con Sirius suena y me hizo recordar este último track del juego con su intro!

The game was never released, although it had the blessing of Tim Follin in the soundtrack.
Snes version is definitely superior, but this version has such an awesome ambient and atmospheric type vibe to it that I love. The only track that is a bit lacking is Auckland, but it's still great.
I feel the Auckland track plays a bit too slow compared to the SNES original.
It's great to have two versions of this excellent soundtrack to enjoy!

SNES has better sound but it always sounds too childish. I LOVE that poor sound chip from Genesis 😂

Even if the Genesis version haves a different Title Music, missing the Qualified and Results musics and make the rest of the 3 slower, i still enjoy them.
This was an amazing game, Amazing!
I was so dam good at playing this thing and it was so damn hard to play it through I had people gather around me at the arcade and literally watch me play through this like a Boss. To this day one of the best achievements as a kid was going through each and every campaign map and finish first from the very first map to the very last!

The Mega Drive version of this game is so much better than the SNES one. And I say this even after playing the nintendo version my entire life.
I had to beat the Sega version for a video on my channel, and I was surprised by the quality of the port. Not only the songs hit better but the overall gameplay is more snappy overall.
This music is my favourite of childhood life , thank you for live this music on you tube & creator , today I’m listening this after long time ,remembered my childhood day, Awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ , thank you 😊

I'm not sure there are many ppl from these countries here.
Because they are first heard in those stages from 1st country, which is Australia

La Pista sonora en Génesis no está mal, pero siento que pudo haber sido mucho mejor, por alguna razón no está en Estéreo y eso denota prisa en la programación, cosa que si se siente en la versión de Snes donde en el apartado sonoro aparte de que el Hardware es superior también lo aprovecharon mejor..

хоть они просрались с инструментами т. к использовали gems, но почти всем трекам эиюто дало второе дыхание (кроме первого, тут на снес лучше)

I have a games channel that deals with old games right. and then on this channel I post tutorial videos of how to download the old games to emulate them in a mega drive emulator, and then I looking on RUclips for musical backgrounds for the top gear 2 of the mega drive I came across your channel, and then I decided to contact you, friend, to know what I have to do to have this permission from you to use the musical background of the top gear 2 game of the mega drive and not have any kind of problems with copyright of the fund musical in the game? do i have to pay anything? if how much? or do you make the game's soundtrack available free of charge for copyright to anyone who contacts you and asked for permission to use the game's soundtrack for any purpose?
Augh. The Sound Images driver ruins another soundtrack. Some of these instruments sound as bad as early-YM2151 Technos Japan arcade games (like Xain'd Sleena), though this is probably the best I've heard from the sound engine. (Back to the Technos/Sound Images comparison, the Double Dragon MD port used Sound Images and sounded even worse)

@@mrt6878 I did and I liked it a lot. I'll compare both versions. But sound is far better on SNES. Genesis found very clunky and metallic in general
