⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ R143 Special “SUPREME” Train on the L Line
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 окт 2024
- Here we see a train of R143s that has been wrapped in special red SUPREME street west branding running on the L line. This is a creative and resourceful way for the MTA to generate additional revenue that can go towards service improvements. Enjoy!

Dude, that bright red color looks awesome.
Yes, Indeed! (minus the wrighting)! Urbainrailer!

Dang that is one narrow platform!!! :O
Get rid of the white “supreme” letters and you got yourself some new Redbirds! :)
I concur! We could use a splash of color in our system but without the lettering and ads!! Urbanrailer!
I think the colors are too bright for that
@@stiizy2valid521I think the bright red shade looks pretty cool
@@unstableatoms3456 redbirds are the ones with the dark reds, youve got yourself a more expensive r27, not a modern redbird
That's some serious drip 👀🔥
I have never seen such a cool looking train in my life!
What about the cuomo R160s, besides this
I have the R211
Nevermind, I've seen cooler
Take off the Supreme lettering, then you have a modern day redbird.🤔
Well, a "Pinkbird" anyway (Lavenderbird?).
YES!!!
Good idea
I should try it
@@arrow1414 it’s definitely not pink or lavender
Standard fare: $
Travel in a train with Supreme decal: $$$$$$$
maybe it does.
The fare has nothing to do with this.
@@TheRailLeaguer bro it was a joke😐

Cool cars every line should have there own identity
ikr
On the plus side, they could be painted to match the color that their line has on the map (red for the West Side IRT, dark blue for the 8th Avenue line, etc.). On the negative side, that reduces flexibility in the use of rolling stock. For example, cars would need to be repainted if they were transferred from the West Side IRT to the East Side IRT or from the 6th Avenue line to the Sea Beach.
@@loissimmons109 that would also be expensive
Back in the day before unification the were known/designated by their initials: the IRT (all the numbered trains); the BMT (the Astoria/Coney island lines) and the IND (the A, etc. lines!)! On the old maps they were prsented as blue for the IRT, green for the BMT and red for the IND. Splash of color couldn't hurt but no writing, no ads! Urbanrailer!
@@dumontthe5th On some of the old maps, the BMT was in yellow. And originally the IRT routes had no designations at all. The BMT originally numbered their routes, while the IND always used letters (single letters for express trains, double letters for locals). It was only when connections were made at various places (like connecting the IND with the Culver Line south of Church Ave and the 60th Street Tunnel Connection that linked the BMT Broadway Line with the IND Queens Boulevard Line), that the Transit Authority reorganized the subways into the A Division (IRT) and B Division (BMT and IND, which had wider cars that couldn't fit through all of the places in the IRT tunnels). With some routes combining BMT and IND tracks, it made more sense to assign letters J-Z to primarily BMT routes and free up numbers for the IRT routes now that new cars being acquired for IRT routes under the R series would have front signs of various type to display a route and route designation.
While most BMT fans loved the old Standards subway cars, my one gripe about them compared to the Triplexes and the experimentals was that there was no place on the front of the cars for the destination. With the Brighton, Culver, Sea Beach and West End trains all using the Broadway line in Manhattan, they had to have different stopping points relative to the platforms to help people know which route had pulled into the station.
About 2/3 of the way down this web page, the original BMT numbered route scheme begun in 1924 can be found under the heading "Service labels".

Also R143: *Puts on supreme wrap*

@@brownguy51 I like those RPs. They seem cool!
They should have been doing this decades ago. They should be seeking advertisers for every subway train, LIRR train, MetroNorth train, and every bus. That is how you generate revenue.
I would have to respectfully disagree with you; yes,ads bring in much needed revenue but to see car after car with ads just looks cheap to me! Perhaps if they were to reduce the salaries of the top execs of the TA /MTA, we might just find a few [duckettes' to fund the system! Urbanrailer!
It works for me and agree. They do this on European trains I say right on!
There is, inside of the train if you look up
@@mang0.0 I guess New Yorkers just don't like anything different on our trains considering from the graffiti bad old days on our subway cars I hardly look at the ads looking up anymore because they're so boring! The only time I look up is the strip map! Otherwise I'm sorry they look great!
lirr m7's used to haev ads a few years ago
The only good thing I can say about this is the red matte color I guess.
God I wish the 6 were like this back in the day
Same
Did you know when the r142as were on the 6 they had the target ad, man those were the days.
@@soraforpresident5209 I actually remember that! Those wrapped advertisements were for announcing the opening of the East River Mall along East 116th Street in Harlem!

R143 Drip!👀👀👀, Alright jokes aside, This is something and I think this would be a meme to the MTA community.

Japan had N700 Supreme and NYC Subway said hold my beer.
Now this is the way to brighten up the city. The ends of the trains look great in red. Maybe use it on the LIRR and MNCR? What are they advertising?
Supreme is a clothing brand
Reminds me of the old red "Little Reddie" subway cars from 20 years ago! It is kind of a nice look.
the city, the MTA, the NYCT, whoever, really went ahead & decorated the R143s on the (L) with *Supreme* 😂
I really like the advertising on the outside of the trains I hope one day they all have different advertisements on them from all over the Worlds :) (after all "We are the world" :)
The number seven train used to be call " red bird " . Now it comes to the L train .

The graphics r so cool I awamna go there rn but u realize ur vision is bad and video quality is better
hopefully people are this positive next time the graf artists do this!
That was vandalism, this is advertising.
That's nice. I guess the fare for that train is now $275.00(since they sell 10.00 t-shirts for 100.00😁😁)
The fare has nothing to do with advertising, which is practically normal on any subway system.
@@TheRailLeaguer Joke
@@TheRailLeaguer guess you don't understand sarcasm?
If they can do this, then they can have artists paint the trains entirely with beautiful graff pieces. This is cool, but I’m just saying.
Graffiti doesn’t being any revenue to the MTA and it’s not very appealing (especially after what happened in the 70s), though they could collaborate on a cool wrap for some of the line (maybe Queens residents and the MTA could come up with a design for a new wrap for the 7 train to celebrate diversity, A train riders and Bed-Stuy can honor Duke Ellington, etc).
@@TheRailLeaguer yeah that would be a good idea to give each individual train line it’s own identity and to show what’s special about each and every line
@@toxicrepstan1897 Yeah, though wrapping the cars for the lines does pose some logistical issues. For much of the BMT and IND, you have some yards servicing cars from at least 3 lines, and these cars hold more than 400 cars. The thing is that much of the cars there could be operated on other lines based out of the same yard (or even out of another yard) where needed, so it could be an issue if cars on the G train end up on the B line and vice versa for example, except for weekend loaning. This could be fixed once more concrete assignments for the upcoming cars are assigned, though I think the plan for now is the NYS Excelsior scheme and occasional advertising for all cars.
it cool update
What makes the trainset supreme, l thought it was the211 in disguise but not the case....
Big drip
One question is can subway trains had kids siblings mom and dad sisters brothers uncles and parents too?
