- I'm like two months late to reviewing this show lol sorry 😭
But anyhoo, this video was as fun as it was frustrating to make since there is just so much to say about this show. It's a beautiful hot mess and I wanted to voice a lot of my own thoughts as well as thoughts brought up by other communities since there are so many good points out there. But I couldn't cover them all unless I wanted this video to be ten hours long, so I covered what I could. As always, keep this discussion civil, and remember that most of this is just my opinion and all my opinions are subject to change.

Mimzy would probably reappear in season 2 as they did say she only seeks out Alastor when she has gotten herself in a fix. Just because Alastor did tell her off and say "Yeah, I don't appreciate you bringing danger here, so if you don't mind leave." Doesn't mean she isn't going to come back seeking Alastor to get her out of her problems. Particularly if the people after her are Angel's crime family.
That's true! It definitely seems likely that she'll reappear in season two, and maybe even get more fleshed out which will be awesome. I do wish they integrated her a bit better in this first season since it would have been nice to see her introduction get tied into the plot more, but her popping in just to seek help from Alastor is completely in character to be fair.
For my personal opinion on the character designs I kinda wish the character would have their animal inspiration more obvious, because I can’t tell which animal the characters are representing like Angel I didn’t even know that he was based on a spider. I also wish the character would have a different color palette or have a different shade of red on them since it is hard to keep track of the characters
Yeah you basically summed up all my thoughts lol. Those are all the main things that would help the designs IMO. That and toning down the random patterns and stuff.
I heard the creator actually wanted to get more episodes (12 I think) but Amazon pretty much forced her to take 8 episodes.
Something tells me that if this is the case, there's probably a few plot points that had to be cut. Plot points that probably would have made Hell make more sense.
For example, stuff that was only mentioned in the art streams like Angel coming from a Mafia family with his sister being the only mentioned relative that isn't in Hell.
Yikes! I wish studios would stop chopping seasons down so short. Idk if it’s due to wanting to save money or something, but the more you restrict a story the harder it’ll be to TELL that story, and then issues start to arise. I’m hoping they make the future seasons longer so we can better explore all this stuff in deeper depth.
@@RossSterling supposedly, next season will have more songs. Which either means more episodes, or the episodes will be longer.
@@alexcrazyart6522 I hope that’s the case! I’d love to see this show get more screen time and the songs are some of my favorite parts.
Maybe, if we're lucky, we'll get some short films like we're getting for Helluva Boss.

The season where definitly too short, the 8 episode season structure is stupid unless the episodes are towards 45-60min each, I was very happily surprised by this show but I might look past many flaws because there has been so few good shows for a while 😆
Agreed! A longer season or at least longer episodes would have helped with the structure and pacing a LOT. But I feel the same way. I try to look past the flaws and enjoy the show for what it is since honestly yeah, there are so few good show nowadays. Gotta take what you can get lol X3

Yeah honestly. Like it wasn't the worst in the world and I still enjoyed the show, but I spotted enough issues that made my brows raise a lot. There's a lot of room for improvement in my eyes.
