OG seasons prove that people enjoy the original feel and identity Fortnite has and that's something they should improve for future chapters.
Epic is just a moneygreedy company, thats why they do with Fortnite what they want because little kiddies don't know what is better and just beg their parents to buy more and more V-Bucks and make epic more rich. Back then it was way better when they didn't push all those collabs and items up your a** and so on. Back then you didn't really have to buy anything because they didn't really say anything about it and only made the Battle Pass important. But yeah that is what happens with such big companys nowadays
Hi, og person here. Fortnite isn't greedy. If they were greedy, they would make trash events (like roblox for example) or make items more expensive and also make Vbucks more expensive (like roblox) I do not hate roblox, it's probably the main game i play but roblox is REALLY greedy and it has a child gambling problem :|
The reason I like Fortnite og is because it is a short and nice outro for the chapter and gets me excited to see the large change from og to all new features and guns also the battle passes are just good I like the season og battle pass than all off chapter 5’s battle pass but it should end after chapter 2 because chapter 3 is a little too modern and doesn’t add much difference
for OG to keep working, i think they need to wait a year or two minimum before doing OG again. i love the idea, especially as someone who hardly played chapter 3 and didnt play at all during chapter 4, its cool that ill be able to experience things i missed. but they cant keep doing back to back to back to back OG seasons every year, it just is not going to work.
I agree that its a lazy way to build interest but it doesn't hurt and we all have fun. I'm excited to get a taste for what chapter two was sorta like as i only played chapter 1, 4, and 5. however after this one I think they should rename it since chapter 3 and onward isn't "OG" and then instead of making another excuse of why we have to do time travel and then mess with the story they could just add it as a seperate game mode from the current season.
@@JomarionCareyIf they made more DKC games in that style, then they would be the "exact same" in your logic. But since there's only two they're not the exact same. Also the NSMB games all had different levels and gimmicks from each other, but since they all had the same style people got sick of it.
@@TheKillerMoth This is how the new DKC games would end up if they kept making new games while recycling that style. But there's only two DKC games with that style so it people aren't sick of it.
It's worrisome for many that Epic are following the model in a rather counterproductive way, given that, as you say, they hardly ever seem to use said experiments to better their actual main chapters. It's tough to say what Epic's developer team is really thinking. You've said prior that Epic, and by extension Tim Sweeney isn't truly stupid and some of these decisions are made intentionally, but they tend to shoot themselves in the foot so much that you can't even say they accounted for that. Some far-sighted individuals similarly have trouble predicting what's in store for Fortnite if they continue down this path. Given that recently Epic essentially gave up on Rocket Racing and the idea of giving it any more themed seasons, likely due to nosediving player counts, sets up the idea that the metaverse will cave in on itself as a domino effect. There is no telling us that Epic anticipated this colossal flop in advance. Epic can't blame anyone but themselves here. They deliberately rushed out modes without introducing hooks for most players to keep on engaging with. The first impressions are already gone, and with most games, they're crucial for leaving a lasting effect on people checking it out. There's a video or two out there that show you what RR could've looked like with extra features that made use of your outfits, for one. There really is a lot to talk about with this topic so I've little to conclude with swiftly, but I am interested in actually getting to talk to YOU about it, Mujy. I find you to be one of the most compelling commentators out there, and I'd like to see if it would be possible to interview you, much as Layo apparently did, for research purposes. If you'd like to do that, please send me a message on Discord to wizzyradius! Hope to hear back if you can.
I agree mostly, but I think Chapter 6 will really decide the future of the game here. CH5 was planned in advance when epic had no faith in OG and wanted to move the game in a direction that was not only for the worst, but also to support the metaverse. If epic really learned, we'd see that reflected in chapter 6.
Imma be honest, Chapter 2 only makes sense to have the name "Retro" because OG is original in both meanings (OG as in OriGinal or Original Gangster) I think they should rename the model to Retro or individually name them such as: "Retro" "Re-Vibe" "Re-royale" or something
I only want Fortnite to kind of remove the weapon mods, have the weapons that are all equal, none of that run and gun bs. And for the art style to look like STW again. I think chapter 6 MAYBE will look like chapter 1 again because of season og but I could be wrong.
Fortnite really feels like it's going to be in an endless loop of new chapter adding stuff, a nostalgia OG chapter, and then rebooting the status quo and pretending like any improvements made didnt exist
"Due to recent feedback about our consistency, we have decided to permanently keep our new movement animations and speeds. Additionally, we will be keeping hitscan weapons out of the game."
Going back to fortnite chapter 2 might sound awsome and exiting, and for players who did not play chapter 2, the thing is that epic games is relying too much of nostalgia of fortnite and it messes up the storyline, so they should make good and better seasons and good lootpool for future chapters, this is just my opinion
Great vid as usual Mujy If the "Chapter 3 map being re-added to the game" stuff isn't an error, what would be your opinion if Chapter 6 ends up being Chapter 3 Season 5? I don't think that will happen, and we will instead go to a boring Chapter 6 similar to Chapter 5, but what would be your opinion on returning to Old Chapters and revisiting them, like returning to Chapter 4 and continuing on it until Season 8 for example. I get Fortnite OG is supposed to do that but for newer chapters that only lasted 4 seasons, the situation is different in my eyes. But idk, we'll have to see what this Chapter 3 leak ends up being when Fortnite Retro releases next month
i think they should stop with og season in general, after the seccond time and i think that chap2 og will do less than chap1, cuz the big audience see chap2 as a boring game/downgrade compared to chap1, which i feel it to when you compare the map evolutions, and the diversity of guns, vehicules , utility items and traps, i do think fortnite should start retaking advantage of the building mechanic like they used to more oftenly (they're still doing that but barely) also they should add rotation points on the map like rift spawns, the aerian platform of season 9 ,the pirate outpost of season8, and more recently the ballons of chap3s4 in a way to make the game a lil bit more quicker , bring back the old storm pattern that we had before season2 of chap4 and also the poi control thing like it used to be in chap4s1 (and delete bots from the games).
The thing is whatever fortnite is doing it clearly works. Games like COD are even taking a page from fortnite. Why because epic knows what most fans want and that's fun gameplay. The only people I've seen complain are the people others call sweats the people who turn their graphics to PS2 looking trash. Because all they care about is kill counts and competition. But the bigger player base wants fun and new stuff. The sweats just want everything to stay the same and don't wanna adapt hence why they through a tantrum when they added car battles.
The storyline at some point must come to an end, unless it expands beyond the island which it seems theyre trying... As for the game, not sure of an answer.
Tbh the only chapters that are wotrhy of an OG season are chapter 1 and 2 3,4,5 are just forgetable, souless I mean the next year I bet no one is going to play the CH3 Rewind
I feel like modern fortnite is a push for money. I feel like the ray tracing stuff was all forced so it could grab attention from other people to get them to play, rather than using it to make the game in general feel better. Dont get me wrong, the graphics look cool in all but it feels forced and like their trying to make it more realistic and take away from the feel of fortnite. I feel like fortnite ch 1 and 2 felt more like a charming game and a community. The game isn't adding what the community wants but everything more of like "what can we add to make the game completely different and make the game feel like a whole other game and get more money from kids who only care about getting there favorite tv series skins."
The reason they took the game off the ground is because the sheer amount of cheaters in the game. Its alot easier to beat cheaters with more options in mobility and stronger items. If you want too go to a more linear style you gotta advocate for a more harsh punishment for soft auto aim and hackers. Playing the shipon trials is miserable in diamond. You die in 3 seconds or less. Its awful.
All i want is an OG GAMEMODE, that would solve everything. the avid fortnite players can enjoy their new seasons, and the OGS can continue playing on the old map.
Instead of doing some weak ass OG Seasons they should think of some way of how they can fix Winterfest becuse winter fest hasn’t felt the same sense Chapters 1 and 2 with no cabin no good looking rewards and barley any creativity in the UI the locker looks shitty
honestly this would be peak fortnite for me 1. old movement why try to fix something thats not broke 2. NO rocket launchers the old rocket launchers are great but i cant stand the new ones 3. wepon mods and augments are great i feel like players would love a chapter where you can use both 4. old graphics or atleast beingle able to reduce it on console/pc 5. and the old BALANCED loot pool I quit ranked/battle royale for reload and dont plan to go back
notice how seasons and chapters are getting worse, this all happened when donald mustard stopped being the epic games ceo. If he decided to not quit and decided to make all the seasons and chapters have the same idea as right now, he would make them better, if he decided to make season og, he would've make them longer so players have time to finish the battle pass most seasons this chapter were unfair due to very very op no skill required guns, although it was kinda the same before he quit things were still kinda fair ( lets just ignore chapter 2 aim assist ) donald mustard would've put more time into work each chapter and season including og, don't forget about his brother Mustardplays on youtube, he gave donald the idea to make battle royale, peely exists because of mustard plays hating bananas as a kid, why the hell did i type all of this it has nothing related about the video

No chapter is og only chapter 1 . People don’t seem to know the definition of og . Og is when players played the game before most knew fortnite existed before it got popular as only the ogs were playing wich was the start of chapter 1. Dont matter how long somethings out for when you got the first chapter staying years long ahead of it with how long it was out in the real og days . Chapter 2 was the games downfall
@@TheKillerMoth nawh chapter 1 was far better than chapter 2 and chapter 2 was the games downfall that had millions upon millions quit the game . People think something better just cause of improved graphics movement mechanics and being able to swim and all that in a newer chapter over chapter 1 but don’t really get it with what made the game get the love it got in the first place wich didn’t need all that it was that good without it . The game was far more unique and had its own identity and much more simplicity until chapter 2 came out . They went from coming up with cool skins and emotes of there own to using TikTok emotes and doing way more constant colabs than ever wich they got lazy since then. Nothing tops chapter 1 period and chapter always get compared to other games that no video game has dominated the playerbase and money and popularity that chapter did in fortnite it’s just unmatched. Literally the only dam season anyone ever talked about was season 2 of chapter 2 , that’s it , but not enough to carry the whole chapter. Chapter 1 had way more skill involved, no op mythics or super power abilities , no hired mpcs , no ai replacing the playerbase and the gunplay was solid and just fair . Only big issue with chapter 1 was the mechs in season x . People thinking chapter 2 being better than chapter 1 is like saying the new terminator films are better than the old originals wich is a dam lie. Noobs choose new video and sound quality of 4K over a far better story telling from the originals wich are better for a reason. Chapter 2 was just as bad as its Fortnite storyline . Chapter 1 had its magic and intrest and the story telling of the game involved the players within it during the gameplay like Kevin the cube for example . Once chapter 2 came out they went way off the rales of confusion to the fans with not continuing the story from chapter 1 to randomly bringing in a different story not until with midas in season 2 of chapter 2 than buried that idea in season 3 of chapter 2 with the whole map flooding wich no one liked btw , it was terrible what things people first thought was cool about chapter 2 to then see it all effect everyone’s gameplay wich majority of fans complain ally about during chapter 2 .
If epic wants money they need to: -assume more devs for keep the quality for the different modes -remove collaborations from the gameplay and keep them in the shop (es. avatar, star wars, MARVEL) -bring back old battlepasses with og styles or a [OG] tag on the skins -make a playlist for older maps (from ch1 to 5) and rotate them every hour but still keeping the current chapter map
Honestly, Imo this entirely depends on how the season is utilised in the story. For example, if we end chapter 2 og by flipping the island again but this time in season 3 to escape the flood and then for chapter 6 we end up on the chapter 3 map but 4 seasons early where we experience the events that shaped the chapter 3 island whilst we were on the other side combined with feeling the effects of what happens on the chapter 2 map. Maybe then at the end of chapter 6, we have caught up to where chapter 3 started which is how we go into ‘chapter 3 og’. I think it’s also important to not just follow the same story as before and give us a monumental change to what originally happened. E.g. the meteor hitting tilted instead of dusty would’ve been quite cool as then maybe we could’ve had a version of Neo tilted in the crater.
I’m just gonna leave this here: Ditch the og thing and just implement the map rotations with the OLD battlepasses and no og styles because the entitlement in this game is sad asf and those people need to have more responsibilities in life instead of worrying about newer players finally being able to buy them😂
@@TheKillerMoth they brought back the skull trooper and reaper when in season 1 it specifially said it was "limited time" and never coming back, yes its right that they gave og styles to the skull and ghoul trooper, but the reaper pickaxe just straight lied and didnt...soo like its not like they havent done that kinda thing before
@@twfaucet Well the thing is, it is a lot easier to bring back an item shop skin than a BATTLE PASS. Battle Passes were ALWAYS exclusive, that's what the main thing was about them. You needed to get them or else you'd lose the items forever.

you explained everything so perfectly
I honestly think that theyll do another og season next year with the remaining ch2 seasons and probably drop it after that
Epic is just a moneygreedy company, thats why they do with Fortnite what they want because little kiddies don't know what is better and just beg their parents to buy more and more V-Bucks and make epic more rich.
If they were greedy, they would make trash events (like roblox for example) or make items more expensive and also make Vbucks more expensive (like roblox)
I do not hate roblox, it's probably the main game i play but roblox is REALLY greedy
and it has a child gambling problem :|
here b4 youre famous your videos are really good
I think it should stay but i dont think any seasons after chapter 2 season 3 count as OG
The reason I like Fortnite og is because it is a short and nice outro for the chapter and gets me excited to see the large change from og to all new features and guns also the battle passes are just good I like the season og battle pass than all off chapter 5’s battle pass but it should end after chapter 2 because chapter 3 is a little too modern and doesn’t add much difference
for OG to keep working, i think they need to wait a year or two minimum before doing OG again. i love the idea, especially as someone who hardly played chapter 3 and didnt play at all during chapter 4, its cool that ill be able to experience things i missed. but they cant keep doing back to back to back to back OG seasons every year, it just is not going to work.
im gonna miss chapter 1 og cuz like playing chapter 1 with all the new movement was so much fun
this guys vocabulary is so good 🤣
I agree that its a lazy way to build interest but it doesn't hurt and we all have fun.
The goat is back
They should make season OG separate modes within Fortnite so people have a blast of nostalgia and then it doesn't get taken away from them
i just want a season OG: Chapter 2 Mix part 2 (Season 5,6,7, and 8)
4:24 Good example, but you do know why they stopped making New Super Mario Bros. games right?
EXACTLY.
People get stick of the same style of games over and over again
Because they were literally the exact same. My man said that's not what he wants
I would love to
I agree mostly, but I think Chapter 6 will really decide the future of the game here. CH5 was planned in advance when epic had no faith in OG and wanted to move the game in a direction that was not only for the worst, but also to support the metaverse.
If epic really learned, we'd see that reflected in chapter 6.
Imma be honest, Chapter 2 only makes sense to have the name "Retro" because OG is original in both meanings (OG as in OriGinal or Original Gangster)
I think they should rename the model to Retro or individually name them such as: "Retro" "Re-Vibe" "Re-royale" or something
I just want a season 3, 24/7, classic br, no bots, no ai, no sbmm with old graphics and I’m sold, absolute cinema.
Monke Kong Continent Comeback and Monke Kong Continent Tropical December mentioned
i think fortnite didnt have time to change c5 after og so c6 could see the after effects of og because ik they already have c6 s2 done
I only want Fortnite to kind of remove the weapon mods, have the weapons that are all equal, none of that run and gun bs. And for the art style to look like STW again. I think chapter 6 MAYBE will look like chapter 1 again because of season og but I could be wrong.
lol now OG is gonna be a permanent mode but still good video
Fortnite really feels like it's going to be in an endless loop of new chapter adding stuff, a nostalgia OG chapter, and then rebooting the status quo and pretending like any improvements made didnt exist
"Due to recent feedback about our consistency, we have decided to permanently keep our new movement animations and speeds. Additionally, we will be keeping hitscan weapons out of the game."
I played Fortnite today after years, the weapons feel empty
Like they just exist without any colour or personality
Chapter 2 remix is empty and it may sound like I’m complaining but it’s boring… There’s no point giving us chapter 2 remix when we have Reload
Great vid as usual Mujy
If the "Chapter 3 map being re-added to the game" stuff isn't an error, what would be your opinion if Chapter 6 ends up being Chapter 3 Season 5?
Well more players played Chapter 2 Season 2, and the ENTIRE community loves it, so I don't know if it'll do less than the first Fortnite OG.
@@TheKillerMoth it was carried by the pandemic .........
@@asbi2022 ppl didn't hop on fn all day, it was social media
Honestly trying to imagine chapter 3 as old makes me feel like a grandpa.
I think they should end with ch 2
Then just replace it with reload
reload sucks tho
@Rasec193 ok
Season 2 isn't OG they should just bring back season 1 again.
They should do season og every 2 years
Should Fortnite just end in general (as in should it have an ending)??
Yes in 2 decades time
wont shut down for a very long time broski
Yeah,I think it needs a very big finale.
No lol it’s the biggest game rn why would they do that
The storyline at some point must come to an end, unless it expands beyond the island which it seems theyre trying... As for the game, not sure of an answer.
I hate how in og polar peak was the shitty destroyed form. You can still have greasy grove but put the castle back it was the best part.
cool vid
Tbh the only chapters that are wotrhy of an OG season are chapter 1 and 2
3,4,5 are just forgetable, souless I mean the next year I bet no one is going to play the CH3 Rewind
Short ending no we should keep it
Dont care. I just like a map change. A few weeks of chapter 2 the something new… electric boogaloo
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It hasn't even started chill
Lol
The reason they took the game off the ground is because the sheer amount of cheaters in the game. Its alot easier to beat cheaters with more options in mobility and stronger items. If you want too go to a more linear style you gotta advocate for a more harsh punishment for soft auto aim and hackers. Playing the shipon trials is miserable in diamond. You die in 3 seconds or less. Its awful.
What are your thoughts on the cancellation of rocket racing
I think people want the tf2 treatment in fortnite 🤣
What do you mean end? I don't think they will dare to call ch3 og
All i want is an OG GAMEMODE, that would solve everything. the avid fortnite players can enjoy their new seasons, and the OGS can continue playing on the old map.
Throwing out nostalgia chapter 4 was the best chapter of fortnite
Yikes
@@SosaIDK it stuck to the themes every season while still keeping stuff they implemented and not just taking it all away
Instead of doing some weak ass OG Seasons they should think of some way of how they can fix Winterfest becuse winter fest hasn’t felt the same sense Chapters 1 and 2 with no cabin no good looking rewards and barley any creativity in the UI the locker looks shitty
do chapter 3 then stop till around chapter 10.
honestly this would be peak fortnite for me
1. old movement why try to fix something thats not broke
2. NO rocket launchers the old rocket launchers are great but i cant stand the new ones
3. wepon mods and augments are great i feel like players would love a chapter where you can use both
4. old graphics or atleast beingle able to reduce it on console/pc
5. and the old BALANCED loot pool I quit ranked/battle royale for reload and dont plan to go back
@@WydAxel I disagree with everything except with the weapon mods and augments
Good video but some mind numbingly bad takes imo
notice how seasons and chapters are getting worse, this all happened when donald mustard stopped being the epic games ceo.
Chapter 5 is on par with Chapter 1 but okay
@@TheKillerMoth It's just not though
@@_MyNameIsAJ_ it is though. You miss being happy, not old fortnite
@@Rasec193 1. Bold you of you to say I was happy back then
2. Not really, I had way more fun with Fortnite OG than I've had for the entirety of Chapter 5 and even I acknowledge it was just nostalgia bait 🤷♂
Chapter 2 was infinitely better than Chapter 1, but I agree that it isn't OG.
Once chapter 2 came out they went way off the rales of confusion to the fans with not continuing the story from chapter 1 to randomly bringing in a different story not until with midas in season 2 of chapter 2 than buried that idea in season 3 of chapter 2 with the whole map flooding wich no one liked btw , it was terrible what things people first thought was cool about chapter 2 to then see it all effect everyone’s gameplay wich majority of fans complain ally about during chapter 2 .
hi :3
Older chapters not seasons
If epic wants money they need to:
-assume more devs for keep the quality for the different modes
-remove collaborations from the gameplay and keep them in the shop (es. avatar, star wars, MARVEL)
-bring back old battlepasses with og styles or a [OG] tag on the skins
-make a playlist for older maps (from ch1 to 5) and rotate them every hour but still keeping the current chapter map
@@namecciano4518 Colabs should be part of the gameplay
They don’t have the most of the funding father that wy

I’m just gonna leave this here:
Ditch the og thing and just implement the map rotations with the OLD battlepasses and no og styles because the entitlement in this game is sad asf and those people need to have more responsibilities in life instead of worrying about newer players finally being able to buy them😂
It is quite literally illegal for them to bring back those old battlepasses but okay
The entitlement is with you actually. No one owes you OG skins, if you wanted them you should of played back then, oh wait, my mistake you weren't born yet. I'm not sorry for you, let it go and cry yourself a river so dehydrated kids in Africa (with real problems) have drinking water.
