I always felt like he was on course to get that rally win this season. He was clearly in a better frame of mind back at Hyundai and looked so quick in Sweden, the talent and pace was always there and I felt certain that Sweden was a sign of things to come and that top step on the podium was a matter of time.
He bounced back from such tragedy early in his career and despite that showed such gratitude for his career and never took it too seriously. He just loved and lived every second of it.
Every stage I watch from now on, I can feel how much I’ll be thinking ‘I wish Craig was out there today’.
I’ve only followed the sport and his career for 18 months or so but yesterday has affected me hugely, which tells you all about the character of a man who is roughly the same age as me, yet is almost a role model in how to display the resilience and determination I hope others see in me.

    This is a beautiful Tribute.
There is so many other hidden gems on youtube of Craig, his character shines through in every one and never fails to bring a tear and a smile.
As an Irishman myself, it's been an honour following his progress over the years. I was so happy he still had a seat in a WRC car this year.
His first appearance this year in Sweden was such a rollercoaster! I was pissed at the team orders for him to let Thierry through but then at the last moment he ended up finishing ahead anyway! Sure it wasn't how he'd have like to secure 2nd but still, I couldn't have been happier for him. I was jumping and shouting in celebration when they said he'd finished 2nd! 😁 His pure joy in the post stage interviews was so infectious. I'm grateful he went to Croatia after such an uplifting performance in Sweden, he must have been buzzing putting his foot down when he started tests there and from the clips I've seen he was absolutely on it! Purely in his element ☺
Every event he was in he openly put his very soul into. The death of his friend and co-driver Gareth Roberts in 2012, in eerily similar circumstances, must have been a heavy burden for him to carry these last 10+ years and to still push on with such a positive, humble outlook and get as far as he did speaks volumes about the man.
He brought us all along for the ride, through the ups and downs, he expressed himself in way that shared and connected us to the struggle, despair, determination and ultimately elation that comes with a seat on the world stage in a way that no other driver ever has in my opinion. Every time, his passion reminded me why I love this sport so much and to die doing what you love is a life fulfilled, however short.

He's a treasure to Ireland, a treasure to rally, a treasure and example to us all.
My condolences to all his friends and family ❤‍🩹
Rally In Peace Craig Breen and Gareth Roberts. Ye're undoubtedly reunited now on the most special stage of all.

I haven’t been following the WRC much recently but after watching this Craig Breen was an absolute Legend and real true gentleman very exciting to watch superb car control gave it his everything I am deeply saddened with his loss it’s a long time from I seen anyone with as much Raw Talent as the late Colin McRea and Craig had it and more to give unfortunately his rallying has come to a end so early I’d say he’s inspired a lot of people on his journey RIP CRAIG

What an astounding, devastating loss- for his loved ones, for the team, for rally, and for Ireland. As much as we're all passionate for the sport, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who loved it as deeply -- and as infectiously -- as Craig Breen did. That love was as palpable to all of us as it was contagious. You could see it in his smile, hear it in his voice. You'd see his tears, both of grief and of joy, through tears of your own. I did, at least. He is -- and will forever be -- an inspiration to so many and his loss will be felt for many years to come.
I'm not sure what I believe about the metaphysical or the afterlife, but I'd sure like to think Craig and Jaffa are back together again, tearing up the sky's twisty gravel roads in some heavenly rally car. Somebody's gotta keep Colin and Richard on their toes.
Thank you for everything, Craig. Codladh sámh.

I still cant Believe it. He was one of my absolute favorites. Not just because of how talented he was. But because of his character. His funny jokes and his ways with all the journalists. He is in my mind the true spirit of an underdog who never gives up and rises once again to greatness. I’m so devastated that this happened after his podium in my home Sweden. Fly high Craig. We miss you ❤❤

I have watched this video too many times in past days and im still crying every single time. The way he lived rallying really shows in interviews after -16 finnish rally after hi's first podium and the laughter after the stage in swedish rally. The joy he bringed to everyone around him was just joyfull, world would be much better place if everyone would be like he was, god speed.❤

No tribute will ever do justice to the scale of what we've all lost. Yet to even come near his peak, a pathway to the greats opening ahead of him, and all gone in an instant. Just an immense loss that won't feel real for a long time.

Very nice tribute video of the nicest rally driver ever. His post race interviews that I see on Red Bull TV were just the best! I was shocked when I read that he had passed due to an accident getting ready for rally Croatia. His presence will be missed. Peace and prayers to his family, his friends, and his teammates.
