    Black and silver. My Hemisphere was my first fountain pen. It sat for years before I rediscovered it. Then began my adventure...140 FPs later... I love this pen!

    Hey! It’s Doug-resurrection Sunday! You should have included a video of Nosferatu rising from his coffin with your face superimposed. It’s heart-warming to hear and see you’re getting better.

    What a nice reclamation Doug. Back near the beginning of the year I found & acquired a Hemisphere in a beautiful Prussian Green with a medium nib. They are really nice pens, and you got yours nice and shiny!!

    This pen is a winner. Enjoyed this video as usual on Sunday Pen Resurrection Day. You have a beautiful Waterman collection. Get well my friend. 👍

    It was my first pen, I got steel with gold trim, mine is dry, but very nice feedback, I love this pen, but when my collection got bigger I stopped using it as much, even tho I love how it writes, its just too thin for me, now the waterman expert took hemisphere place for everyday writer,

    • @RunningFromTheFeds
      @RunningFromTheFeds 3 месяца назад +2

      And funny thing about the expert is when I first got it it war terrible, the nib was skipping and I hated this oen for a long time. I decided to get it tuned by a so called nibmeister, he made it even worse, he made the ink flow better by separating the iridium, not the tiles so it got v shape from the top, but then my brother tuned it, and now its my best nib and I love the pen. This shows how important the nib is

    It's good to hear, your getting better. I've got that same pen. needed a Waterman for my collection, without spending a lot. Found one at Peytonstreetpens, NOS in box with C/C for $60. Great pen. Thanks, take care. KB

    Weird about Waterman ceasing ink deliveries to Canada. I can't imagine what their reasoning is but it's probably pretty lame. I don't have any Waterman inks yet, but about a year ago I bought a Carene in the L'Essence du Bleu finish and I've really come to love that pen. Writes great, albeit a little leaky after inking around the inlaid nib, and the L'Essence du Bleu finish is outstanding, as is the wavy pattern on the cap. Very high quality and the Carene is a classy, beautiful model. The slip cap is great too. I've looking at another in that line for a future purchase, the Exception, which is pricey as hell but really spectacular looking. I think they're somewhat overlooked in the FP community for some reason, but they're great pens.
    Thanks for the video, Doug.

      The Exception is a beautiful pen, but not many pens rival the looks of a Carene.

    Nice job. I like the Hemisphere, but I'd have to say that the angled finial and the clip are better integrated in my Waterman CFs 😀 So glad to hear you are recovering from the dreaded Lurgi.

    I never considered the Hemisphere. I have thought of the Carené amd waiting for the right price to show up. Their gold nibs are outstanding but you have convinced me the steel nibs are nothing to scoff at, either. Very nice reclamation, Doug.

      Waterman has just raised prices on the Carene. If you're looking for a deal on a Carene, use CamelCamelCamel add-on to Amazon and track prices. I got my Marine Amber for a steal price!

    Hello Doug from Greece ! I have noticed that some nibs write smoothly after tuning but the next day seems to need tuning again. Is that matter of flushing? I thought that tuning is something that happens once and not need to do it again

    • @InkquiringMinds
      @InkquiringMinds  3 месяца назад +1
