I just bought this 2 weeks ago and it is seriously slick. My only small gripe is that I wish there was an hdmi out to throw one console on the rig, but otherwise the thing is like... plug and play. It is ridiculous how smooth it runs.
Okay, fine. This sold me. The title is very accurate, and this appears to be the best capture card out there. I would probably get these even just for my two X-T3's. The 4K30 option for each input is great, individual sources is amazing, multiple software usage is even better, I legit can't really find any drawbacks with this. The only possible thing I could think of would be if it doesn't support 10-bit, but that's almost entirely irrelevant for a vast majority of stream needs. Thanks for this review Nutty.
I've been streaming with ATEM Mini on Twitch and it works flawlessly. Plus you get 2 mic inputs and a bunch of transitions between cameras all with the touch of a button in the atem mini itself. But overall I think Elgato made a great move. If I were new to streaming I'd definitely pick this up. Way to go Elgato!
I was super impressed that the HD60 Pro was supported on multiple platforms at a time (discord and OBS). I can see great things in the future for Elgato
This things amazing it’s a great deal for what it can do and how much it would take to run multicam to a pc otherwise. I was going between camlinks and the 4k60 pro in my pc problem with it was only obs saw the 4k60 pro as an audio input. If I wanted to run my camera through it and use onboard audio (like a lav mic from the camera which eliminates any sync issues easily) I couldn’t do it the video would be silent and not able to be discovered as an audio device in things like discord zoom MSTeams and so on . That alone was a great aspect of this card for me personally

UPDATE: It turns out the PCIe slot on my motherboard was only a 2x slot, not 4x. The Camlink Pro needs for 4 PCIe lanes. I swapped my motherboard for a different one and it's been working flawlessly ever since.
Ok, so you said you have different webcams, such as HDMI and USB. Thing is this card cant use the USB ones. You have to use the USB ports on your computer, but the Elgato device doesn't use those as sources, so you cant use the multiview (right?). I understand some streamers can afford different HDMI cameras etc, but many people can only get USB cameras (because..well...they are cheap.) Even technically some people can get some used phones, put Epoocam on them, and have multiple webcams. Is there a device that would work with ALSO USB webcams? You can only put so many webcams on a USB bus. If this device somehow would include that, it would be an easy 'yes' for anyone to buy it.
BlackMagic DecLink Quad HDMI has done this for 4 years! I know, because I have one. It will do 4K 60fps for four HDMI inputs at the same time. It costs less than 600 dollars. Again, this was possible FOUR YEARS AGO.

It's literally just Nvidia Broadcast Engine stacked on top of the raw camera source. Then he used StreamFX plugin to apply a user defined shader filter (in this case the color wheel effect) on just the Broadcast Engine source. Since Broadcast Engine is keying out the background & the raw source is showing it, the filter only effects him & not the background because they're two separate video sources in the scene. Fun fact, you can totally cheese this on the cheap with any GPU by using a screenshot or looping video of your background without you & your chair in it. Then set up a green screen & do the same shader effect. You won't be picking up pillows & whatnot but it's cheaper than spending $1,200+ on a RTX card. It's also a great way to reveal to your community that your setup or space has changed. That's exactly how I revealed my outdoor art streams setup. I took a screenshot of the indoor setup, then I did outdoor setup & when live with a screenshot of the old setup behind me. Nobody could guess beyond something with the lighting. Then I got up & moved the green screen aside to reveal we were actually streaming outside. Was a pretty funny gag.
Most of us will wait for the cheap Chinese version or something, just like the capture card. Glad you loved it, looks useful specially with expensive cameras. Also congrats for having elGato sent one yo you, lol

I got one and am returning it because on OBS I get a substantial Venetian blind effect whenever I move inside the frame. It looks like a horizontal scanning issue. really weird. Elgato could not understand or fix that problem. only happened in OBS. I'll wait until they get more people using this product before I try it again down the road. I'm using an RTX 3080 otherwise have no problems. Anyone else see that problem?

Yes, the Cam Link Pro has multi app support so you have access to both at the same time.
