In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. This is an amazing testimony. I am so glad to say that I too will be pursuing a future in music therapy!

Beautifully and bravely shared! As a another MT-BC who was also privileged to both greet and say goodbye to one of my precious children with music, I especially enjoyed hearing Bella's song and story. Isn't it wonderful how music is a gift that never ceases? And now it remains a continual connection between me and my Christina, for you and your Bella, and for countless others. All the best!

What a healing message! A true testimony to controlling the uncontrollables...making the journey therapeutic and pleasant when we have no control of the outcomes. You are an inspiration by walking the walk and talking the talk. Thank you Tim! Respectfully yours, another music therapist...

I recently moved out of ablr and had many drumming groups with you and want you to know that the energy you bring to a room full of people is amazing. To be where you are now after the past is inspirational to me

Today I had a hard day, won't bore you with all the details, but it occurred to me that my day would have been a lot less successful hadn't I listened to Telemann, Vivaldi and an adaptation for harp of a piece of Bach on my radio-app on my smart-phone. I remember many days taking care of chores, feeling so heartbroken but supported by my friend Baroque music. If it weren't for music, I would have been locked up ages ago.

Ted, This was beautiful, ('Bella-like"). Thanks for sharing. I've been an MT-BC for almost 30 years and it STILL gets better everyday. A vocation, a career, and sometimes a pastime all in one.

What a moving story, thank you. I’ve always felt like I had to choose between music and medicine, after some research on music therapy I’ve gained some clarity about deciding to become a music therapist

His baby's skin would blister & come off with the slightest touch or friction. She passes away after a bone marrow transplant. The story of him writing this for her before she was born & it coming on in the room as she transitioned back to pure energy, is a beautiful & true story. You need some love in your life, Jerk, so that you can find some joy, a be less of a ...jerk.

Ashley Viszneki Ashley, if you go to www.musictherapy.org, you can find out about the 70+ colleges that offer programs (in the U.S. at least). Go for it!! It is so rewarding.
