This is awesome! I'm 17 and I play piano, guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele and I am actually thinking about becoming a music therapist
Same instruments played ! also same desire for being a music therapist, hope you will success man ...
Did you end up majoring in MT?
I love music and I wanted to be a psychologist, so I’ll combine them together!
Same
Music therapy is everything I want to do combined in one
I’m very interested in going into Music Therapy - because I love psychology and music - but I feel like in many ways I lack the communicative skills to do such a thing. I also... don’t work well with children yet, so that wouldn’t be good either.
You can learn the skills!
this is pretty cool, first video I watch of the subject and it helps me to understand better the idea
thank you
My name is Peter Beschorner and Have been interested in the benefits of music therapy for a long time. Its a great way to help people to relax, reduce stress and anxiety and improve a state of well being and happiness. Thanks for posting
Really great video! I am starting my training at Anglia Ruskin this year, look forward to more videos :)
One of our #MusicTherapists has filmed a #vlog of a Day in the Life of a #MusicTherapist. This week is #MusicTherapy week so please share to raise awareness of what we do! #MTW2015
Can you be a music therapist if you are strictly a woodwind/brass instrument player, or do you *have* to play percussion, guitar, and sing?
Just wanted to ask because I am a wind player and like wind instruments...
You would need proficiency in piano, guitar and voice in order to do the clinical work aspect of being a MT
You can enter into the program on a wind instrument and that would be your primary instrument. Sorry this is three years later but hey I thought I would still answer your question.
I'm also learning to make videos and music therapy, your videos are very inspiring and make it comfortable for those who hear and see them. My best regards from Indonesia, which really needs your guidance. thanks.
Good job!👍👍👍🙂
What is it like to work in England as a MT? Is work easy to find?
That's great! I love music, excuse me, I'm from Mexico and I'm studying psychology, could I do a master's in music therapy?
This is so cool
