I LOVE the themed Christmas trees. I've never done it because my grandma buys us ornaments every year since birth. So our trees are almost a scrapbook of our lives. She has also cross stitched all of our stockings. Nothing matches, but everything is a personal representation of us.
The 1st time I took my now husband to dollar tree he was so amazed. He couldn’t believe everything in the store was $1.00 he kept on asking so this is a dollar and what about this..I still remind him of that day😂😊

Everything is so pretty! Each year I tell myself that I'll do themed trees. Never happens. I'm pretty sentimental, so all of my old (65+ years) ornaments go on first, then ornaments with special meaning. Just can't bear to leave those meaningful ornaments packed away!🎄🎄

Everything looks pretty, but one of my favorite things to do at Christmas was to decorate as a family. Even when my kids were very small they chose the ornaments and where to put them on the tree. Nothing looked perfect, but it was special because they had helped, and had a say in how the house was decorated. Just sweet memories that I have of Christmas past!

I used to wrap my artwork with wrapping paper, wide ribbon, and a big bow - looks like big presents on the wall, and you can match the paper to whatever colors you have

Love all your dollar store ideas! The dollar store is awesome, those who don't shop there miss out ;) My 13-year-old son has always loved going there because he knows I'll say yes to pretty much everything he wants and we still won't spend much at all! I'm heading to mine today to get some of that sparkly tulle those berries and those great snowflakes. Thank you for all the awesome ideas.
I always wait til clearance to get my Christmas trees. I bought the last one for about 50% off! I love your idea about hair spray. My tree is brushed white, and it makes a horrible mess.

I'm 57 and I cannot move nor do things like the 30 and 40 years old but I love Christmas and I have to do a little something-something. I made my Mama and Daddy a Christmas wreath with Dollar Tree items, omg even with lights, some Cardinals, my Daddy loves his red pickup trucks so I put those and I loved it. All for under $11

My husband doesn’t want me to, either! The kids want to decorate now, so our compromise is to put some stuff up now, but save the tree until after Thanksgiving. 🎄🦃🎄

It's a tradition to decorate our home after Thanksgiving! I spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday (after Thanksgiving) to send Christmas cards, bake cookies and decorate the tree. I enjoy waiting for this weekend😊
Definitely not the first Christmas thing we bought, and not from a dollar store, but my favourite piece of Christmas decor would have to be our Nativity Scene!

I cant wait to start decorating!! I have already been adding things i have found at dollar tree, to my (labled) Christmas tubs I keep in our bastment. I am excited to go see what Walmart and targets dollar spot have! I've been waiting until my school finals are over though.
Oh and ps. For anyone interested or needing ides... I was able to throw my husband a surprise birthday party last year, out door themed; with the decorations and even cake decor, all from the dollar tree, a couple things from hobby lobby and a couple from amazon. It looked absolutely incredible and i saved hundreds!

One of my favorite Christmas memories...I was about 8 1/2 months with pregnant with my 5th. I could barely move, so I brought out all the non-breakable ornaments and the kids decorate the tree. It was very simple and very wonky, but very sweet watching them decorate for mommy. :)
Just tell them no no touchy. like a million times they will eventually understand. I have 6 kids and a toddler that counts like triplets 😂 I started this year really early with a Christmas tree on my room and every time he gets near I tell him no touch ok and he just looks at it he is 1

Thank you, thank you, thank you. After you showed using the red mesh on your tree I bought some to try out. I had to go back for more. I never had any good luck with wired ribbon. The mesh is so much easier.

For those who have animals or small children that won't leave your Christmas tree alone, consider getting a smaller tree and putting it on a table or putting baby fencing around it. In fact, one year when my son was a young we hung a smaller, decorated tree from our ceiling with a potted plant hook! It worked and it was still beautiful.
