This is by far the greatest song I've ever heard. I have the chorus inked on my arm. The first time I heard it I was in a squat on the far side of the world, high on meth and full of beans. Changed my life!! I'm older now, straighter but still a goddam savage!!! Foo fighters are average but this album is wonderful!! RIP bad boy Bucky. Love you with all my heart my little/big brother.
This has got to be my favorite song on the album, the one that really got me into doom. I heard that Cathedral played it live a few times, but no footage on RUclips :(
Picture Of Beauty & Innocence is the acoustic intro. The name of the first song in the album is Conmiserating The Celebration. And yes. This amazing song Ice Cold Man reminds of Conmiserating The Celebration
@EnvisionerWill Yeah, sound like the down tunned and slower paced songs from the Vol. 4 album... I totally agree with you... sounds like a homage to Black Sabbath right from the start! Cheers.
oh yeh this is stuff reminiscent of Sabbath and other similar bands! i think grohl and thayil wrk good together! AND i also think people need to give Lee Dorian a break- i dnt listen to cathedral or any of his stuff- but i dnt think his vocals are that bad! actually they compliment the slow, heavy and melodic sound given frm the drums and guitars!
Every time I talk to my friends and I always start the conversation like: have you guys heard Ice cold man? It's makes you feel like getting everyone in a line and slapping them all in the face . And I'm 10 years old
Yea this is a pretty strange album. I guess the point was just a side project, where he can just have different vocalists just for fun. Usually side projects are for fun. But regardless, this IS a good album. Albeit very strange indeed
i'm into grunge and doom/death metal but this band did something very amazing and different! a mixture of heavy grunge and doom. total disaster in a good way of course!
Kim Thayil was a monster guitarist, some mindblowing work with Soundgarden. I wish they would reunite. Soundgarden changed my life, more so than Nirvana even. I preferred bands like Soundgarden and Nirvana and Pearl Jam to Metallica. Metallica have no ideals or principles, theyre devoid of any principles. Whereas these bands were amazing.
Man I fucking knew right away the artwork was from the same artist who did the artwork for Voivod. Any chance of a guest appearance of Lee Dorrian with Napalm Death by the way? Since both Cathedral and ND play at Wacken..
@xxshino123: guess you're famed music critic, aren't you? ever heard about a certain Lee Dorrian? why would ever Dave have called him, if hadn't he been among the godfathers of this genre?
i think Probot can do with metal what The Gorillaz did with alternative/rap (if u dont know wat i mean) The Gorillaz main vocalist is form the band Blur, he gets 2gether with underground rap artists n u hav a Gorillaz album
Music was cool... vocals were unbearable. A prime example of why Soundgarden should get back together if this is the best Thayil can do after 10 years outside of the band... Cornell's solo stuff ain't very good either.
What the fuck are you guys talking about? This has nothing to do with Soundarden. This is Lee Dorrian, of Napalm Death fame. Not everything's about your grunge.
There´s a Soundgarden connection. KimThayil (Soundgarden guitarist) is playing on this song. Enjoy.
Nobody can imitate Lee Dorrian's voice and style
Love the mood of this. Stare into space and listen with headphones. Puts you halfway into the afterlife.

Thayil is EPIC!!!!!
This has got to be my favorite song on the album, the one that really got me into doom. I heard that Cathedral played it live a few times, but no footage on RUclips :(
GROHL + THAYIL + PROBOTS= PRICELESS
lee from cathedral on vocals ad kim thayil on guitar for one track? fuck yeah!
kim thail doin his best gaz jennings doing his best iommi impression
That's probably the sound Kim Thayil was going for, so awesome sounding!
still my favorite track on this stand alone gem of a metal monument.
I play guitar way too much like Thayil.
Unfortunately for me I could never solo like the Legendary man.
DUDE ITS KIM THAYIL!
This is Cathedral at it´s best.
This song is almost a better summary of Cathedral's style than any individual Cathedral song.
Actually I saw Cathedral playing that one live once. My favorite song from the Probot Album.
love the riff at 3:47 it always makes my day better
Love this too...🤙
His beard is actually a black hole, and after leaving Soundgarden, he was absorbed back into it.
It's former singer of Napalm Death. And it's amazing how different are the vocal styles in the 2 bands
reminds me so much of Catheral
Great track
I can even hear some Paradise Lost influences in this song, first half at least. Imagine Nick Holmes singing it.
Picture Of Beauty & Innocence is the acoustic intro. The name of the first song in the album is Conmiserating The Celebration. And yes. This amazing song Ice Cold Man reminds of Conmiserating The Celebration
What a heavy song

Great song!! Dave Grohl rules!! La mejor cancion del disco!!
Pure pure gem!
Slipped upon this one...Ended up checking out the entire Probot album...Dave Grohl is god!
Wow this sounds existentially creepy enough to be early Soundgarden. Love it!!
oh yeh this is stuff reminiscent of Sabbath and other similar bands!

Well... the reunion's ON now! Thank God.
So.. the guy from Nirvana and the guy from Soungarden got together and it sounded like the Melvins?
Huh. Okay. Sounds pretty cool.
Oh God, thank you for Lee

Good one. thanks goes to music itself.
@Reptillianrouge
Soundgarden is one of the best rock bands... EVER
Grrr....geil!
Thayil agree guitar!
Kim rlz!
Epic song...!!!
this is pretty good, but it needs more of kim's insane solos.
great idea
i'm into grunge and doom/death metal but this band did something very amazing and different! a mixture of heavy grunge and doom. total disaster in a good way of course!
bella canzone!
3:47 - awesome.

Always have to laugh at Metallica hate, so dumb.
My god I love Lee Dorrian!
awesome !!!
@Masterofthesixstring thic an only mean something.. this is real heavy metal!.
❤
Fucking killer Anthem!
@Woulv92 he played on the first track on the album, "Centuries Of Sin", he doesn't play on the whole thing
Yep. Probot fan. Who knew?
@PerennialLucidity you got a point there buddy !!
NICE name
great fuckin song!
Super album, You guys should check "Iommy" album .
around 1.35 it sounds like a foo fighters song, i cant put my finger on which one, but that riff is re-used for sure.
Im NEVER going to call you dad!! Even if its a fire.
fucking right .something just like this.......awesome album
WICKED!!!
Man I fucking knew right away the artwork was from the same artist who did the artwork for Voivod. Any chance of a guest appearance of Lee Dorrian with Napalm Death by the way? Since both Cathedral and ND play at Wacken..
@zammylot
Man you're so damn right, the beginning is very similar to Commiserating The Celebration.
@PerennialLucidity Amen
this is just a project band bro.
@lstop1day9243 While Lee is good, Soundgarden is no fucking pop music.
@xxshino123: guess you're famed music critic, aren't you? ever heard about a certain Lee Dorrian? why would ever Dave have called him, if hadn't he been among the godfathers of this genre?
second best, after the mighty voivod man
@gweetarshredder yeah, that's the one for sure :)
@SuperUnbeliever yup
@poopalarge
hey mate, the riff at 1 35 sounds a lot like 'lonely as you' (from one by one) its the riff before the chorus hits!
i think Probot can do with metal what The Gorillaz did with alternative/rap (if u dont know wat i mean) The Gorillaz main vocalist is form the band Blur, he gets 2gether with underground rap artists n u hav a Gorillaz album
Sounds like black sabbath.
@Reptillianrouge they just did bro
Vocal tune reminds me of 'the unforgiven' by Metallica
lol @ people listening to a metal tribute album and dissing a metal vocalist
foda :D
@Reptillianrouge well good news :D
@PerennialLucidity Oh come on....it's not like he's Danny Carey or Neil Peart... Very good though.
@begrackled haha, pretty much
Music was cool... vocals were unbearable. A prime example of why Soundgarden should get back together if this is the best Thayil can do after 10 years outside of the band... Cornell's solo stuff ain't very good either.
Too late 😢
Sounds like thrash metal legends Nuclear Assault got "BUTT F*CKed"
Dave Grohl killed his drummer.
guitar AWESOME singin sucks sounds like me in the shower lol
5:11
@Killemall790 what?
lonely as you?
What the hell ever happened to Kim, anyway? It's like he totally stopped making music. (Well, for the most part)
dad
Sry, dad made me say that.
If soundgarden had Lee Dorrian instead of Chris Cornell and made doom metal, I might have listened to them. Never could get into them tho.
Replacing Cornell is never an option. When you have the best, why change?
+soundslave agreed
But then no napalm death? Glad it was this way
You realize Chris is the greatest singer of all times?
who the fuck is lee dorrian? Kim Thayil > lee dorrian
DenOfWhasps Lee Dorrian is the King of Doom Metal. Clean your mouth next time idiot
What the fuck are you guys talking about? This has nothing to do with Soundarden. This is Lee Dorrian, of Napalm Death fame. Not everything's about your grunge.
not as tasteful as FETO. YARLARLARLALAARRRRR! YAAALAAALAAALAAALAAARRRRRRR!
This music is bad. lol
