- Hey guys! Welcome to another red-eye full flight video! This time, I'm flying Delta Air Lines across the country from Las Vegas, Nevada to Atlanta, Georgia aboard one of their A321s! After enjoying my last red-eye flight with them from Seattle to Detroit on one of their B757-300s, I had high hopes for this flight and it didn't disappoint. The boarding process was great, the flight was smooth, the cabin was equipped with nice seats, PTVs, universal power outlets, USBs, WiFi, and free IFE, there were snack bags passed out, the FAs were all great, had awesome views of the night sky & lights below, and we departed & arrived early. They also handle COVID safety precautions the best by far. Delta absolutely continues to be one of my favorite airlines. Only some minor critiques - could be some slightly better legroom and I'd like to see them start serving food again onboard for purchase. You'll see what I mean in an upcoming video. But as for this flight, was by far the best red-eye flight I've done...the whole empty row for myself definitely played a part in that decision :D Who needs first class? Hope you guys enjoy!

My buddy is a Airbus captain with Delta. Wouldn't of been surprised if he was working that flight being ATL based.
For me, ATL is my favorite airport! I've connected through there a few times over the years and have always had a pleasant experience 😀. Yes it's big, but in my humble opinion, its also super efficient with the people movers every 45 seconds or so with an option to walk between the concourses if you so desire (done it both ways myself). My most memorable experience is connecting to a Delta flight bound for Washington Reagan and I was able to stop at a cool candy shop in the "C" concourse and get some delicious caramel chocolates! So many fun things to do at the Atlanta airport, its anything BUT boring. Just make sure you get to your next flight's gate in time for BOARDING **pun intended.** 😂.

MSP is my fav, it has a really nice atmosphere, but ATL is definitely up there

I love red eyes flights during done dozens of times ( SEA- MIA - American Airlines ) (SEA- FLL Alaska Airlines) if the sky is clear and the full moon you can see blue clouds ( the light from the full moon) and the lights from the cities along the way looks like Christmas lights Jazzguy

I was just on that 767 coming from salt lake. Let me tell ya, what a bumpy ride that was, with all that turbulence going over the Rocky Mountains. Gotta love delta though; best airline around

I personally prefer the 757 simply because they have slightly larger windows. Comfort wise both aircraft are my favorite :) thanks for the video!

Cool video! I think the reason the terminals were so quiet back then was COVID had hit earlier that year. The airports are now back at operating at full capacity. I fly redeye flights every year out of ONT to ATL via Delta Airlines because I go to Melbourne,Florida every summer in June on vacation. Being ATL is the main hub for Delta, I always connect there before going into Melbourne.
I live about 100 miles south of Atlanta and have been to the airport a few times. Always like to plane spot when I am there.

The 757 is a great aircraft. Reliable and a tough work horse for Delta for a very long time. The A 321 is one step ahead. European manufactured. I like them both.

To be honest: I'll prefer the A321 since it is the more modern aircraft. But I must also admit that I never had the opportunity to try the 757, even I spent a couple of years in the US. Greetings from Germany

I have a red eye flight coming back home from Honolulu in December. I’m going from Honolulu to Dallas then Dallas to Chicago O’Hare then an hour and a half bus ride north to southeast Wisconsin
Also I flew Southwest from Omaha to Las Vegas and back and the flight only had 39 people going to Vegas and half the passengers making connections or continuing on the same flight and the flight back had 60 people
Eastern Airlines was once the dominant carrier at ATL before it's demise
ATL is probably my favorite airport, followed by ORD.

I'm surprised that jetBlue isn't on the list? Have you flown on jetBlue yet? if not, you should. see what they do during these tough times. I'm pretty sure they are safe to fly during these times too. The view of las Vegas at night was so beautiful. I love to fly at night too. Great work!

I flew on a red eye flight from Las Vegas to Orlando in Aug of 2020. 4 hour flight time. Will never do it again. Felt way too tired the next days even after a nap.

how was the seat back? I have a bad back and prefer more cushion but first class is not necessarily more comfortable for me in that regard. this looks like the new slimline seats American and Southwest are putting in that are so uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

Although you had a short nap on the way,landing at ATL about 630am ET,your body clock was still on Pacific Time,so a difference of 3hrs would make it 330am,bedtime for most folks--would think you'd feel out of sorts,sleepwalking even while at ATL! My main question would be at this point,"Will you ever get home?" Flying all around Alaska,as well as your flights to the west coast and north to Alaska,don't you miss sleeping in your own bed,knowing where places are? Ok now......onward to your flight home,Allegheny County here we come!

Haven't flown either A321 or B757, so can't express preference. 757 has rep of faster takeoff & climb as well as smoother flight - not surprising as it was engineered from blueprints of legendary DC8 Super Sixty series - - - now THOSE were AIRPLANES!!!!!!! (OKO-SEA, 4785 st. mi; in 7:15 - pilots throttling back to keep from going supersonic, [4/18/1971])(my return flight from The Nam)
Wow, Las Vegas looked so empty during the lock downs. Imagine the airport and security lines, leaving Vegas along with 70,000 other conference attendees. I hate red-eyes, only did it out of Vegas once, had a noisy baby behind me and got no sleep. But it's a fun place, I'd certainly go back, even on my own.

I heard the legacy carriers legroom isnt as good as Alaska, JetBlue or Southwest
Spirit 28, Frontier 29, Allegiant 30, American 30, United 30, Delta 31, Alaska 31, Jetblue 32, Southwest 32. JetBlue and Southwest have the best legroom (unless your on an older southwest plane that has 31)

I was in Las Vegas in August and it was 115 degrees but at least the place wasn't very crowded due to COVID and no one goes to Las Vegas in the summertime I stayed at the Orleans Hotel and at the strip I visited The Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Planet Hollywood, Aria, New York New York, Paris Las Vegas, and Caesars Palace, I also visited Red Rocks as well as Mandalay Bay Aquarium, Gardens at the Bellagio, The Shoppes at Caesars Palace, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, Hershey World inside New York New York, M&M world, and Coca Cola World, also there's a small Target shop on the strip and I even went to the observation deck at Paris Las Vegas and saw The Bellagio Fountains from 480 feet high which is better than being on the ground, and I also did Las Vegas Airport plane spotting up there, I also even got to visit Downtown Las Vegas Fremont Street with a cool show and a bunch of crazy people with signs saying Fock Trump and Nutty Pelosi started the coronavirus and even the Las Vegas chicks and yes their ass was showing even with paint!!!
The Orleans is my home when I'm in LAS. But I won't go again until 1) the buffets re-open, and 2) sanity returns.
Las Vegas will be the perfect place for NCAA Men's Basketball Conference Tournament bubbles due to the hotel rooms!!! I know PAC 12, Mountain West, and the West Coast conferences all have their tournaments in Las Vegas
