My 1980 250 looks almost 100% identical to this and seeing reference points for my exact motor helps so much more than other videos that try to pertain to everything at once. Thank you for making this video

@@brandonsmith340 Yeah well this video helped me get it and now my timing works and I took the truck for a drive and it ran like a champ, again I really appreciate the video
Mine will start but turns of I put another straight 6 engine in it and had to put new spark plugs and used the distributor that the old one had because the other one broke would this be the problem I’m new to this engines
@@jesusromero8224 it could be,check your fuel lines an pump,an you may need to advance it again see if that helps check your plug placement as well..starter fluid also.

Thanks for the video. Got mine running, need help setting timing. It either doesn’t idle or idles really high and I think it’s more timing than carb. Do a video on setting timing
That was very informative I got same motor but have the California carb they say.i was wondering if you got any info on vacum lines would be appreciated.
That is what i needir tank you i have a 1979 chevy truck whit the 2 barrol carburator that it dont have no ajusments and my emissions are hi so i cant pass smog check any ideas w on what can i do. wen i turn the truch off it disels
The old nemonic to remind you what the firing order of ANY inline six cylinder engine is, is "15's too young, 36 is too old, 24 is just right". 1-5-3-6-2-4. They're all the same.

Turn it left or right
