Always remember to use some thread locker on nut's or bolts that are inside the plenum area of the adapter plate so nothing can vibrate loose and get into the intake manifold and possibly into the engine!
Nice installation but you really must buy an aftermarket intake manifold to utilize the full benefits of having a 350 CFM carb....sure, it'll run as is, but you still have a choke point at the carb base...the stock 1bbl will probably outperform the Holley.
I agree with you . this is like that holley 350 never be full throttle.maybe it make rich fuel and smoke . at least he could make a bigger hole on intake and some machine work on head and install bigger valves like 1.92 and 1.6 to have a good performance
If you want cheap big power out of a 250 do whats called the "lump port". That's what I'm doing to mine among many other things. Get you some SBC 307 flat top pistons and ditch the stock intake. Even with a stock cam some flat tops and the lump port it will make tons of power and still run smooth.
Hello Robert. I want to do the same conversion on my 1973 chevy pickup C-10 250 inline six. Do you have a video dedicated to installing the new linkage? I had a 2 bbl built a J&J Carburaters but balked because of the linkeage. thanks.
No, I made the video the day after all the parts came in. It was a make it work situation. Mods can be difficult, especially with availability of parts
I have the same engine in my 1971 nova I was thinking about going with a 350 engine after seeing your videos I'm going to give my 250 a upgrade because it's a good solid engine and I never had any problems out of it I been working on it for a while I was thinking about going with a electric fan once I start with the upgrades any suggestions on what type of fan to get?
Hey man do you you know what size the fuel inlet fitting is? I just ordered this exact same carb but I can’t find any info online for the size of inlet I need to screw in to the carb. Carb doesn’t come with one apparently I thought it did
Offenhauser makes a triple carb 1-barrel or a regular 4 barrel. Headers are readily available. But if you want to make real power get a lump port kit. Run a 2.5 or 3 inch single exhaust that will do just fine. Inline sixes do better with a single than a double.
The carb, spacer and single-to-double barrel mount all came from Hawaii Racing located in Santa Clarita, Ca. I also purchased the accelerator cables from them as well.
I agree with the aftermarket intake. Seems like a lot of trouble to adapt everything down to the same small hole as the original carburetor.

Use blue locktite on the nuts holding the adapter plate on.6 cylinders vibrate and the nut could get loose.....and go down the intake.
Agreed. I would definitely be using red loctite!! Lol!
I know this is old but why not plug the intake manifold barb and just run a line from the pcv on the valve cover directly to the back of the carb?

Two words: LUMP PORT. Get it! Get it now!
Next time set the gasket on the plate then put the studs in
Haha same thing I thought
Yes really need an aluminum aftermarket intake manifold for a two Bbl. Carb?!
Ive got the same truck in yellow and white.
Nice! Would like to see a pic of your truck
Just wait till you modify the cylinder head and go with a lump port!!!
I just bought a 1972 Nova with the 250 straight six what all do you think I should throw on there to make it run nice and smooth

I wish they had a staged 2 or 3 barrel carb which would prevent stalling.
weber 32/36, make it work!
Maybe the video was made 20 years ago they didn't have the stuff they do now

Did you kept the stock manifold?
I did keep the original manifold however I installed a new exhaust system. The original had rusted out.
Do you have a break out of the parts you used to complete this project?
Where can I buy the adapter kit that you used?
I purchased most parts from Hawaii Racing in Simi Valley, CA
Where did you get the adapter for a double carb to a single carb
Drilled holes homemade
can anyone let me know what part numbers carb and adapter are cant seem to find them also will i have to change stock intake manifold thanks
Any possibilities of showing how you did the Excelerator pedal return spring?
Won't the gas get passed the two bolts that, inside mount, on that first one you installed?
Were did you purchase Carberator
I have a 250 4.1 Ltr 6 cylinder vara jet 2 carb any suggestions on upgrading it?? Thanks

Leave that old mechanical fan and belt on there. She loves that thing lol
Any fan will do just put a temp Guage and away you go
Glad you showed us, but you never said why you swapped?
can you give me the part list? im trying to do the same thing
Following
lola Erika did you get the list?
If so, can you send it to me?
Thanks
Stefan
Where did you get that adapter from and are you able too use that other adapter for it if you can’t find the double too single carb adapter
I am changing to a 2 barrel where can I get the throttle linkage adapter

Is it same process adding a 4 barrel Holley 390 vs 2 barrel?
I don’t see the 2 barrel for sale anywhere.
I'd love to install a staged 2 or 3 barrel carb.
Que espera lleva carburador rochester?
Estos weyes aki no responden el español suerte yo tengo el mismo problema
What air filter base do I need?
What is a good aftermarket intake to use with this carb, also what's the best route for exhaust headers/manifold?

How did you install the breather?

Hello, my name is Ricardo. I have a chevy from 1978. Motor 250. Could I ever ask you some questions?
Sure
how fast do the inline 6 go can they ho high way speeds like 110km or 65 miles an hour?
I go 70 on the free way easily with my Inline 6 '79 Camaro
Clarissa Ashley i drive easily 80mph+ everyday on the hwy like it nothing with my STOCK 250 in my 73' Nova
This motor was great no timing chain......until some asshole chipped the flywheel and would cash out starters left and right...
Hey where’d you get your oil cap on your valve cover?
It was off an older engine I had, I can’t remember what it came out of.
Orrrrr u could line up all the plates first… then insert the bolt through all three at the same time 😂
I was trying to step by step one take, not the easiest thing. Just wanted everyone to see the whole process. You are correct though, thank you!
I'm looking for the same setup that you have could you provide me with some parts numbers please?
Part numbers please? Im looking to do same? Cant seem to find the same 2 barrel Carb for sale anywhere.
Cool !
I'm new to the car world. Pretty overwhelming
Dont worry, you'll get there bud.
Will the Turbo increase the speed or only the power?
Engine opala Brasil
If your going to make a video, learn the proper name of the different items 🙄
