I think the president should emphasize more on the majesty and power of the law of the land than make threats bordering on mob rule. OR he can just shut up and do what he wants to do with those people if he really wants his intention to prevail. I don't think threats or warning of imminent violence or death against suspected law violators should come from the president. I don't even think that it is the proper thing to do. Regardless of the prevailing mentality we are still a country of laws.

Well, we're going backwards if we're going to have a "shoot to kill" policy. Also, a shoot to kill order doesn't mean you can just shoot. There is a process there; a requirement that would be supported by law to justify the act.
Saying "rules of law doesn't exist" in the minds of drug lords does not justify extra-judicial killings. Killing does not equate with justice. You have a narrow view of what the issue is.
The reason why we have laws is precisely because of criminals. You don't take criminals by becoming a criminal your self.
