I love the way you have done this one, Robert. You have given me a nudge to dig out some of my French street scene photos, which I have never had the bottle to attempt because of the detail.
Also... The point you make about people not being happy with their own work is so prevalent. I always tell my students that I always imagine Leonardo stepping back from a certain portrait saying,"The mouth's not right but I've had enough. It'll have to do!"
It is like a different painting when you view them after a few weeks!
