It was literally in the middle of nowhere, but those seem to be the most amazing places! We meet a lot of interesting people, unfortunately mostly when the cameras are off when we stop somewhere random. We should film those meetings as well, but it feels rude to switch cameras back on when you are having a nice chat and not everyone wants to be on RUclips.
@@thetravelingtortoises Could be fun if people are willing but ja!! I think mentioning the places and towns you stay is great for the people's businesses! I cannot believe how far you have come in these few short months with the quality of the videos, love the way you just keep it real and have you comms audio!
It sure has been an intresting journey so far! We have a lot of ideas on how we can make the videos an even better experience for you all. But one step at a time… 😁 thank you for the kind words. It really means a lot to us when we get messages like this. 🧡
I am loving your riding and reporting. Could you put u map up of were you have been. I love your 390 KTM. That is the bike I would love to bye.i am in Canada. I ride a DR650.
Thank you for your comment! We are busy creating a website with all the routes that we have ridden, but as we are on the road all the time it goes slow... We do have a Facebook page as well and i might actually make a post with a detailed photo of our map with all the roads we have taken! Will see if I can post that this weekend or next week, you can then check it out there (facebook.com/the.traveling.tortoises. )
Groete Werner
We left in October last year, then we traveled for 3 weeks before we had to be in Johannesburg for work. We started again from March I think.. so I would say we have done about 7 months on the road. We have now covered almost 14000 km, not so much distance due to us needing to wait for our licensing tests.
And to think we have not even done the whole of South Africa yet after those km's! It is surprising how big this country actually is. We hope to add many more, both in SA as beyond @@benniegerber9526
This is certainly one of your best videography episodes. Well done. Again you rode roads which will be nightmarish when soaky wet.
Thank you so much, we appreciate your comment. I can imagine those roads will be terrible just after rains, luckily for us it was perfect conditions.
Awesome!
Thanks!
Great video guys. You both sounded like you were having a awesome day.
We were indeed having an awesome day! Sometimes things just flow and this was one of those
Just awesome!!
Glad you liked it!
Did you get to sample the “organics” ~ the ‘shrooms and the “cookies” are a whole new adventure! 😂😂😂
No we haven’t, will stay away from that on a motorcycle 😂
Very interesting roads today, you certainly went through the a.... end of nowhere 😂
You must be meeting the most amazing and interesting people 😊

Awesome roads, I liked it a lot 👍🏻. What is your total distance covered and time on the road to date from the time you left Limpopo?

@@thetravelingtortoises whow, still 14000kms is a good bit of travelling. Just asked out of interest because I think many people is wondering the same
