I just hope this will cause less whining about box controllers. I gave myself chronic tendonitis and now its the only way i can play the game for longer than 10 minutes at a time
Does anyone have a link to where I could flash my rectangle with neutral SOCD? I want to try it out EDIT: the Rana Digital version of Pico rectangle uses neutral SOCD. First impressions: This is a pretty significant nerf, but it still feels really good. In fact, I think it’s actually a lot more intuitive - to the point that I’m unsure why this wasn’t standard from the start. Very thankful that it’s not simulated travel time
Reminder, im just a box player same as y'all. That said this is what I expect. Def a big nerf but it's not some gross ass "travel time", we're still fully in control. Could be worse
Neutral SOCD should have been required for boxx since the beginning, but if they switch the rules to ban 2IP no reactivation at this point, I'll probably drop Melee for the most part. I've been trying to find the motivation to pick up Plus R or Third Strike for a while anyways.
@@mkjuggler97 many characters need 1.0 jump trajectory to ledgedash on the B0XX. They press back and then forward while holding Mod X from the ledge. If neutral SOCD is implemented, this ledgedash method won’t work.
@@ChefRachman thats completely fair. I think there may be better alternatives to level the playing field between controller/boxxs personally. Btw: Love your falcon😭
How can we make this dumbass nerf not happen? Who decides on these changes? I don't wish to be punished because so many gcc players are scared of consistency.
I'm not in charge of it this is just something I think is likely and will be learning to be safe. At worst I'm wrong and neutral socd muscle memory transfers back just fine

Sf6 looks really good too give it a go
I wish reaction tech chase never was a thing...
My moonwalks noooooo 😭
You can do frame perfect movement on GCC too
I use a Smashbox 😂😂😂
This will ruin the responsiveness of the controller. Neutral SOCD feels like ass.
This will make it so B0XX players can’t ledgedash
How?
ModX + down is a no ff drop from ledge. It’s easy

@@Rael0505 You would just use c stick to ledge release then.
@@RaycuSwift Using C stick to drop from ledge is unergonomic on B0XX due to wavedash being on upper row. Only people with huge hands can do that.
Nah this aint it. Dont agree with the change.
Not up to me. I'm a box player saying what I expect

@@Rassmasterfor sure and hey I could be wrong! It'd benefit me if ppl just say fuck it do what you want hahaha
nope
