This video has inspired me to write a Death Note/ Marvel/ Star Wars/ Care Bears fanfiction.
I haven’t seen that much of JJBA, but Dio just appearing, saying “I’m Dio” and leaving feels completely in character for him. He just seems like the kind of guy who screams “do you know who I am” at a bouncer when he’s not allowed to enter a club.
As someone who has seen that much of JJBA, Dio totally would do both of those

In my opinion, it's actually pretty hard to do it well, what with the enormous pool of characters you can use as well as the audience (the player in this case) being (probably) unaware of many of these characters. Also, just because two characters are considered good or bad, it doesn't mean they fit well together. That said, I don't think it's hard to make anything with a better plot than this anime train wreck of a game.

Light is a mass murderer like Vegeta was in the beginning. Switch the way they were storywise. Light wanted to kill the bad guys, Vegeta wanted to kill anyone who got in his way. Light became power mad and then started killing for distraction and other excuses, Vegeta with the help of Goku and others helped him become a good "better" guy. Vegeta killed planets full of innocents. Both characters in a Shonen manga and anime. Think first, then write.

as shitty as all the characters look, Jotaro definitely has the best transition. Idk why, but he still looks fairly natural in the 3d environment.
Probably because the intros use 3D models, or at least an art style that looks 3D, so they would have had something to go off of.
And then there midoriya.
The shading in this game is waaay too realistic for most manga characters to translate well, but JoJo has a significantly more detailed visual style with more realistic proportions. I won't claim they're completely realistic just because I haven't really studied the style, but compared to the rest of Jump's catalogue it's a pretty stark contrast. If the modelers had been given license (and lbr them and the rest of the art team probably could've used more time as well) to alter some of the proportions on other characters a little or if the lighting + environmental design teams had been allowed to get a little more stylistic they probably could have gotten something further away from the uncanny valley and overall better to look at. Still, it's really funny as it is.

Assuming everyone can see Jotato's Stand, that must confuse the hell out of Jotaro that none of them are stand users. And if everyone _can't_ see Jotaro's Stand, then did they just pick him up assuming he was a dude that was just really fucking good at punching people?
Also, apparently everybody can see the Bleach Shinigami as well.
well here is how the game explains it subtly, remember the final boss pulls out a cube from protagon chest, the cube probably grants true sight to the users.
Also I would assume that most of the Naruto characters and some of the dragon ball characters can see star platinum as stands are an extension of the user’s soul which relates to both kie and chakera (sorry me no spell well)
@@Zan10242 there is a but here. If they know what they are looking for, they can definitely see it. For example, if you do not know what your chakra looks like, how do you know that it is yours. In the Naruto series, only those with the abilities to see or sense through techniques can see star platinum if they use the techniques. Dragon Ball characters are less likely to see that because energy based creatures with no form is a rare occurrence.

Jump Force is certainly one of the games ever. I must say, the game looks like something that you can view with your eyes, and I just say the cutscenes were truly animated. The story is certainly a story, and the gameplay is certainly, playable. The moment when Goku said “it’s jumpin’ time” and jumped over everyone was one of the moments in gaming history

@@paulcrandell2198 Yes, after you beat the final boss you unlock the "villains" missions, basically a meet fight but against the main villains. There is one for Dio, where you go whit your character and Jotaro, fight him in Mexico, and he gets trapped under rocks.

@@cactusmalone well... I watched Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and GT as a kid, everything after that is unknown to me, and im not even from the 90’s! But I do know what you mean though. Goku's character, while not perfect was a role model for many kids and even adults, Goku always fought for what's right and he always surpassed his limits to assure that, but not in a bad way, just a way to represent an extreme dedication to the world and the people he loves, I'm not a huge fan of Dragon Ball but I completely understand the impact of Goku as a character, especially in the 90's. For what I've been told they do him dirty in DBS and I don't even know what the next DB is but it must be similar in quality to DBS.
@@cactusmalone The reason you see things that way is that you either have not actually watched Z with clear adult eyes (whether by not actually watching it in years or being blinded by nostalgia) or you watched the Funimation dub where they made him basically Superman and act like it's the creator's fault when he writes the character more or less how he always did and not how one company he's never interacted with rewrote his characters to be.

Seeing the gameplay…holy cow this IS Sonic Forces but with anime characters. Even the introduction of the customized oc is the same as the one in Sonic Forces. Also, this game also gives huge Marvel vibes as well.

I didn't really agree with the spoiler thing until i saw Ichigo, who's moveset is completely based on a final arc that at the time of this games release hadn't been animated yet. Even then it includes his final outfit, sword, and transformation so that's cool

I think my favourite part about this video is the fact that I’ve actually played this game. My little brother bought it and was really struggling with playing so I took over for him. It was so laughably bad that I offered to keep playing so he could watch me; we turned it into a weekly thing and I get a nice little kick out of it.
I've played a bit of it, not enough, but like I thought the gameplay was fine, it's a decent Fanfictiony Arena Fighter, just the story mode seems horrifically bad
Fun fact: Goku has actually been shot at with guns before when he was a kid in the original Dragonball during the Red Ribbon Army Arc

For some twisted reason, I played this game before watching one piece, dragon ball, death note( basically all besides naruto ) and had the experience multiple times of going "oh yea that's that thing from jump force" while watching.
I'm honestly dissapointed by how wimpy this game's fan fiction plotline is. I wanted shit to get crazy, I'm talking shit like Luffy getting a stand, luffy gets killed by the deathnote and they have to bring him back with the dragon balls, yusuke awakens his bankai, Deku gives naruto OFA, shit like that. I wish bandai namco played with the stories of these series' more and really twisted it all up since obviously none of it's canon.

A side character who debuted so late in the story, and who’s mere existence as an adult is a major, major, major spoiler. Tbf, Light explicitly lost the Death Note, and it isn’t an ability he has in and of himself. Ryuk is also powerless, useless, and worthless as a particularly chatty and edgy hallucination without it either.

I don’t know for sure, but if Light Yagami doesn’t have the Death Note’s power, wouldn’t he lose all memory of it until he reclaims it? It happens in the anime so he can trick L into believing he’s not Kira. So how is he aware of both the Death Note and Ryuk, but doesn’t have possession of the Death Note?

@@atomnum9 Of those you listed I'd say only the Saint Seiya guys are definite yesses. Goku gets slapped by them. Giorno has the hax to deny Goku's attacks but he's nowhere near fast or powerful enough to catch or hurt him, so that'd probably be a stalemate.
Meruem gets stomped by Goku who has been well beyond planet-busting level for years. As for Bleach, I'm not knowledgeable on the subject but I'm sure there are some sort of hax that could give Goku trouble, but from what I've seen their destructive capability is nowhere close to the levels we're at in Dragon Ball currently.
OC jump force characters could definitely be stronger though.

Im pretty sure the reason why Ryuk doesnt have a VA is because Ryuk in Japanese is voiced by a highly successful TV and film star and I genuinely doubt they could afford him.
Its just another aspect of this game's strangeness, but they could have done:
1) Accept the loss and not have Ryuk period, so it just looks like Light is talking to himself. Nobody in this game but Light should be able to see Ryuk anyways. (Though it would have been so simple to show the main character incidentally touch the Death Note and then Light giving some minimal explanation like "yeah this monster man follows me around, he's invisible unless you've held his notebook, and I TOTALLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ELSE.)
2) Recast. The only reason I'd forgive if they didn't would be if the original actor had recently died, as the recasting may seem disrespectful. If that were the case they shouldn't have given him any lines.

@@thejest69 is very rare for anime to use different voice actors for characters, I've personally have never seen it done, if they have someone doing the voice they use that VA for everything even the god awful games, like the VA for Luffy. Exceptions are if they do a new adaptation of a series but even on those situations they try to cast the same people again.
I think Japan is very strict with not changing the voice, but again, is def weird they included Ryuk regardless, maybe it was just for show, since the character is very recognizable to be from death note even for people that didn't watch it but Idk, the production of this game screams awful deadlines and 0 communication between the team
