    These look so damn delicious! The fact I just paid $12.99 a pound for number ones is crazy. We steam them with beer and old bay and serve with butter and lemon. Great video!

      I steam with water, vinegar, and salt with old bay over each layer. I put a pile of old bay on the side to dip mine in. Must have beer to wash it all down.😅😊❤

      Thanks! Yeah I’ve seen those prices too and I just can do it… that was part of what pushed me to catch them myself lol. I’m glad I got priced out, because I love it! haha
      Thanks for watching!

    WHAT'S UP BRAD. WHAT'S THE BIGGER CRAB. FURTHER UP THE RIVER OR CLOSER TO THE INTRACOASTAL?

    • @How_I_Caught_Crabs
      @How_I_Caught_Crabs  Месяц назад +1

      I’d say the larger ones would be in the direction of the salter brackish water but that is not a hard and fast rule. Some of the biggest crabs I’ve ever caught were from the springs that dump into lake goerge which has to be about 50-100 miles from the ocean. But if crabbing the Treasure coast are I’d say they will be bigger near the inlets but be conscious of the salinity, if too salty then you won’t catch.

      @@How_I_Caught_Crabs thanks for the great details. I seen you pull big crabs out of fort Lauderdale area. Rusty bottoms In Wilton Manor. Ever had any luck in Palm Beach area? Around West Palm Beach?

      Palm Beach sucks the only place I’ve caught a couple(max 5) were out at the state park on singer island and this little feeder canal in North Palm/Gardens area. It’s not good in this county. In Martin county, the Loxahatchee is overrun by commercial traps and the whole intracoastal waterway is too salty in my experience here in Palm Beach. Ft Lauderdale and St Lucie are your best bet. Where have you tried in Palm Beach?

      @@How_I_Caught_Crabs WELL WHEN I LIVED IN PALM BEACH NEVER HAD THE CHANCE I WAS ALWAYS WORKING FOR 5 AN HOUR. STRUGGLING ALL MY LIFE. THANKS FOR THE INTEL. I JUST B0UGHT MALE CRABS IN MARYLAND THEY SUCKED. I'M MORE OF A FEMALE CRAB EATER. MEAT IS SWEATER & THEY AIN'T TO EXPENSIVE. LAKE GEORGE IS WAY UP THE COAST IN VOLUSIA COUNTY. THANKS FOR THE TIP. I WOULD STICK TO THE EASTERN HALF OF THE LAKE. THE US MILITARY USES IT FOR A BOMBING RANGE & AIR DROP MINING SPOT FOR TESTING IN THE WEST. THEY HAVE A ARTICLE ON WIKIPEDIA. ANY RIVERS IN FORT LAUDERDALE IN PARTICULAR? I WATCHED A VIDEO OF ASIAN GUYS LINE CRABBING IN FLORIDA THEY WERE PULLING IN JIMMIES. SUPER BIG ONES. I TRIED ASKING THEM BUT THEY NEVER SAID WHERE & NEVER LISTED THE LOCATION. THEY DID A CATCH & COOK. I GUESS IT'S ANCIENT CHINESE SECRET. THERE IS A RESTAURANT CALLED JIMMIES & SOOK. THE GUY IN PASADENA MD SAID THAT'S A GREAT PLACE TO EAT. HE SAID THEY SHUCK OYSTERS FOR YOU.
