Hi guys, as you very well can imagine, I spend a ton of work and resources making this video. I hope you'll enjoy it very much. All I'll ask for is a like (if you like it) and a comment, which all helps to spread the video to even more people interested in landscape photography 🙏 - also remember if you want to learn even more use the links in the description ☺️👍
Mads, I can’t seem to individually comment, so I’ll comment as a reply to you. These are some of the most beautiful images I’ve seen. What an incredible trip you had, with breathtaking scenery, and perfect editing and comps. Kudos!
Absolutely EPIC video, Mads!!! My favorite feature, aside from the best photos I’ve seen in a long while, is the beautiful camaraderie you share with your companions throughout. I have been following all of you for awhile and am always inspired by your work. With you and Nigel leading the pack of my most looked up to landscape photographers, I have purchased courses from both of you considering that to be money so well spent (even though I have yet to watch through them completely due to the busy-ness of my life) and I always feel like I’m in good hands receiving tutelage from you both. Thank you for continuing to share your knowledge and experience through these videos, but mostly for being exuberant while sharing your love of the craft!
My favorite thing about ALL of your vlogs is your unabashed enthusiasm for each location and conditions. Your images are always extraordinary and perfectly processed. Thanks as always, for the inspirational vlog, Mads.
Normally I do not use such extreme phrases, but this video is absolutely amazing! On the one hand there are these perfect conditions and on the other hand I love your reactions to it. It is really heartwarming seeing some adult men being blown away by the beauty of nature. Nothing more to say 😊
Hi Mads! That was one of the best Landscape photography RUclips vids I ever saw! 👍 You perfectly transported your fun and your excitement! And what marvellous photos you have shot! I'm a little bit jeallous 😬😇. Thank you for your commitment and your work!
You're certainly a jammy bastard for capturing the incredible Lake District like this, I'm inspired for a little drive tomorrow I think, came across this from RUclips suggestion and I think you have made a wonderful video along with stunningly beautiful images, do it again!!
Epic vlog Mads stunning scenery amazing shots and a good time had by all. As for the favourite shot thats a hard choice so many to pick as they're all amazing shost but if I had to pick just one it would be no. 5 this is so epic. If anyone says to me that they have lost their motivation for photography I will sent them to watch this because if you don't get motivated by this vlog you never will.
WoW, WoW, WoW! What a Great Trip, what a Great Video, and what Amazing Photos! I loved every minute of your enthusiasm, narrative, music and sheer Fun. (I actually want to move to England now, forget sunny California!). OK, I couldn't decide if I loved photo #9 or #4 the best. I mean they are all fantastic for sure. Thanks again Mads! Really appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos.
OMG what a masterpiece of a video!!!! So so much in it! Loved your adventures Mads! About the pictures i’m absolutely astonished by 2 and 3! Both Superb! But considering the conditions in which you took the #2... well, it deserves the gold medal! This video is pure gold from start to end! What a trip you had! P.s. very weird to hear an oriental music while looking at british landscapes 😅 But this gave me the idea that you three, absolutely MUST have a trip together to Japan. Or some other SEA country... you will be mindblown and it would be so much fun for all of us to see you kinda out of your comfort zone in a totally foreign region.
Just superb! Picking a favourite is irrelevant, all good and that's enough. There's a quote about the harder you work the luckier (jammier) you get.... 10/10.
I really can't pick out a favorite photo, but the drone sequence at about 17 minutes in i delicious. The energy in this video makes the hour feel like a short clip. Lake district has been on my bucket list for a long time, but now it climbed a couple of places...
Holy Dinah !!!! I have watched this video 3 times now and I am still shaking my head at he the beauty and photographs. My favorite was #4 followed by #1. Thank you so much for your passion and commitment.
What a wonderful video. Thanks for your boundless enthusiasm and fantastic photos. I vote for photo 2 as the best, simply because it was taken in conditions where 99% of us would be dashing for the car, with no thought of taking pictures!
Oh my word, Mads! That landscape and those conditions in your hands were a match made in heaven. Absolutely stunning photos, especially of the trees in the mist - I feel I haven't the words to do them justice - they're so majestically beautiful. I loved what you said about the 'soft landscapes' - personally, I think that's where you absolutely come into your own - you have the magic touch to see the beauty in them, and transform what you see into works of art. Amazing work. Bravo 👏
Amazing Mads. I got out of bed at 5:30am to cast this on the big TV screen. I didn't want to miss the impact of the beautiful captures and it was well worth it 💯😍👏👏
Stunning video Mads. One of my favourites from the Lakes so far. Feel kind of lucky I only live 20 miles away. The snow will be arriving there soon, if you get the chance to go then, it is wonderous.
Absolutely stunning images!!!! I loved the image with the sun centered behind the trees with the rays of light coming toward the viewer! Soooooooooo BEAUTIFUL!!!
I left this vid to watch on a grey day, and today was that day. First, my favorite is the old mill. Second, I have totally forgotten about outside. Third, if I could just jump to any where, it would be there. Just, magnificent! You should make a vid, as if you'd have time to, with all these beautiful pics and drone footage of all the beautiful places you've been. The music fit so well. Now that storm from no where, love the stunning pics you made! I can't express how much I enjoyed this video~ The volcano lava flow was tops, it's just been bumped to no. 2. Just, stunning!
I'm in a holiday house overlooking Rydal Water and Loughrigg Fell right now and was lucky to have the beautiful fog conditions this morning from the house. Mads, this video is so awesome and inspirational that I go out to shoot here everyday. Love it.
Hi Mads - yet again, a fantastic video account of your travels and wonderful photography. Your enthusiasm and generosity in sharing not only the images but also your joy (and hard work to get in the right place at the right time) is inspiring and infectious! Top unspoken photography tip seems to be - skip breakfast! There were countless beautiful images in this vlog, some imho ahead of the nine in the closing sequence - but those nine are all fabulous too... if I had to pick from those, no.2 - it's so unusual seeing the mountains (I think it's Red Pike, on the west side of Buttermere) in those conditions - more like a painting than a photo, as if the artist had conjured up his or her ideal dramatic conditions and lighting, which of course an artist can do - but you found it in real time. Although... no.8 and no.6 are more 'beautiful'... Kudos and thank you.
The location and timing has definitely paid off isn't it? Especially when you have a person with a red hat standing directly below your scene gives it a whole dimention of scale and feeling. Great phtography, cheers Mad Peter Iversen.
I'm watching this the night before a trip deep into a pine forest taking my new 16-35 and 200-600 for landscape and wildlife respectively. This video is the perfect inspiration--we gotta make our own jam.
You wanted to know what I had for breakfast? Coffee of course - first cup is the most important! Coming back to your photos: from the ones you presented at the end, it is number 4, England in a nutshell. But I am missing my personal favourite in your summary: the one at 44:08 - the scenery, the light, the colours - that’s a photo for the wall, Mads. And your enthusiasm is really infective in the most positive sense. Thanks for taking us with you on this journey, it could have been two hours!
Your happiness and excitement are so contagious! Makes my day. Enjoyable video and spectacular images. 1,4,3,5,7,9...actually like them all. Great watching three favorite photographers together.
HI Mads. Brilliant, Epic, Wonderful and so on. Cant think of a better way of spending an hour than by watching this video. You really do make the best jam.
Fantastic video. What amazing conditions so that you could capture the stunning photos that you did. A true artist. I do have to say what stands you apart from many landscape photographers with their videos is your true enthusiasm, pure joy and the love that you put into the videos to share with us, your audience. Of the photos you showed at the end I have actually 2 favorites, not to say that they aren't all great shots. Number one is a great subject and you were able to capture it well with the difficulties you mentioned, but other than that the story behind the photo is what makes this photo. Knowing afterwards that there is some crazy owner who takes pot shots at photographers is just insane. Overall though for me number two is the winner. I like the moodiness of this shot along with the rain hitting the lake water. Plus kudos to you to stand in that weather and take those shots for us to enjoy.
Lived on the edge of the Lake District for 35 years until we moved to the Scottish Highlands earlier this year. You certainly had a range of Cumbrian weather during your visit and captured some great images of locations I know very well. The ones you got in Buttermere at the end show typical Lake District weather superbly. Great watch👍👍👍
Was there at the same time as you. After 50 years of visiting the Lake District I too walked away with images that I was proud of. Glad you had a great time and I’ve still not visited that water mill, it’s on the list. Also liked the valley landscape without the chimneys. Congratulations on an excellent video.
Until now I was only able to watch the first few minutes, but these alone justify a video! Insane conditions and I love how enthusiastic you are about it! 🎉
Such an artist, your shots always blow me away, takes a certain dedication, skill and imagination to go out in all weather conditions and come back with absolute bangers xx
If you look at a beautiful landscape from afar, everything is beautiful, if you look very closely, your mind may change completely, especially when you see the terrible struggles of life happening ruthlessly inside that landscape…🤍💫 What a stunning shot📸🇮🇳🇮🇳
Wow, Mads! Your video is awesome. I very rarely write comments, but you definitely deserve it.I really enjoyed every second! Thank you for sharing your incredible work!❤
Absolutely fantastic Mads, and thanks for sharing your jammy experiences LOL. I know the Lakes really well and am pleased you love our favourite English landscape.
Ah Mads, your images have done us proud! Now you know why we love our country so much and we have so much pride in it!.....You don't get this in Denmark Buddy LOL
That drone work about 17 mins + is beautiful. Nothing jammy about it, you were all out and about and in place ready. We have gone from RUclips videos to landscape feature films. Brilliant - in content and your joy.
Hi Mads, This is one of the best lake district videos I've seen. It was very enjoyable to watch. It makes me want to jump in my car and head back up there myself. Thank you for sharing your stunning images and vlog.👍
BEST LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY VIDEO ON RUclips ! Sorry for shouting it but it's true. Your excitement is so so infectious at the best of times, but man did it shine in this !! The footage is fantastic and i LOVE the images. You have a full portfolio of images just from your trip that myself, and no doubt everyone who watched, would love to achieve. I'd love to see you return to Scotland again, and maybe go a bit further north this time round Assynt or Glen Affric. (Give me a shout if you do 😉 )
I love your photos, because they capture the location with beauty and style. Thanks for the interesting explanations of how you work as a photographer.
Wow Mads, I absolutely love this video and like you I'm struggling to choose a favourite from your photos. But I think 4 and 6 are my two favourites. Your personality is infectious, I find myself laughing along with you.
Mads - this was an absolutely awesome video! Too me a while to find time to sit down and watch it all the way through but I'm so glad I did. From what I can work out, I was up in the Lake District a couple of weeks after you guys (posted my version of Borrowdale Mill as a reply to your Facebook post). I just love your enthusiasm and passion, it really comes across well.
What a stunning masterpiece video on landscape photography, which is definitely more than a tutorial! There will be a flood of photographers coming to Lake District next year I guess - including me, as I have not been there before. Good, that you indicated the names of each location. Your new music goes well with the ethereal atmosphere in your photos. My personal sequence of favorites is: 6 - 9 - 7/8 - 1 - 3 - 5 - 4 - 2. Thanks Mads for this immense effort in producing this video and for sharing your memories with us!
This summer my wife and I went to Scotland for our summer holiday and had a blast! I intended to pay the Lake District at least a one or two day visit, but for the sake of enjoying Scotland we didn't. On our way back to the ferry sailing from Newcastle we drove by a sign saying "Lake District" and I had a brief moment of "Screw this, we're not going home yet!" Alas - we had to get back home. But the Lake District is among my top 3 Locations to visit! Beautiful footage and images! Thank you so much for sharing this trip with all of us!
Alright...took me 11 months to find all the typos I had in this comment. Fixed them. And do you know what else I fixed? Not having been to the Lake District! We went to Scotland again this summer, but this time we added 2 days in the Lake District on our way there and another 3 on our way back! Boy, what a beautiful piece of planet earth...
Of those photos, I can't decide either. It's between 3 and 7 for me. What fantastic shots and great drone footage too. You visited my favourite spots - Blea Tarn and Buttermere. I was there a few months ago when we still had the drought and it was far less green. I also spent a day at Rydal Water which is right at the end of the video. Thanks so much for such glorious pictures. I've never seen Buttermere so rough and windy.
Phew, what more can one say? I don't have the words right now. That was by far your best video. World class! Epic! Many, many thanks that we were allowed to be there. Thank you. By the way, I like photo number 4 best.
Hi guys, as you very well can imagine, I spend a ton of work and resources making this video. I hope you'll enjoy it very much. Such beautiful photos! I shared your video with a photographer here, Science Girl is her channel ❤️
Mads, I can’t seem to individually comment, so I’ll comment as a reply to you. These are some of the most beautiful images I’ve seen. What an incredible trip you had, with breathtaking scenery, and perfect editing and comps. Kudos!

What an adventure! Thanks for sharing all your hard work and wonderful scenes, doing so with joyful enthusiasm in the company of friends with grit.
Really great video thanks. With the rain spots can you clone them our similar to dust spots ?
Amazing movie.. Amazing memories... Amazing images... Amazingly dumb leaving my camera on a tripod with James in charge... ha ha
My favorite thing about ALL of your vlogs is your unabashed enthusiasm for each location and conditions. Your images are always extraordinary and perfectly processed. Thanks as always, for the inspirational vlog, Mads.

These photos are awe inspiring. Some of them even don't even look real!!

My vote is for #3 -- my eye just rests on the image and soaks it all in. What a fun video -- love your enthusiasm. Thanks!
Awesome video. Number 4 is my favourite but all the images were fantastic. Thank you Mads
That was one of the best Landscape photography RUclips vids I ever saw!

Holy Dinah !!!! I have watched this video 3 times now and I am still shaking my head at he the beauty and photographs. My favorite was #4 followed by #1. Thank you so much for your passion and commitment.
How beautiful people are when they are happy! Thank you so so much for your video and your emotions! I watched with tears of happiness 😊

Number 8! Also, wanted to share that my friend and I go out in the early morning once a week together and get such different images, so fun!
Yep. Incredible, Incomprehensible, Inspirational! Yes!👍
OMG ! You greedy devil. Most of us would be happy to get just one of those shots and you got them all during one visit. Green with envy!
What a stunning video Mads you should be proud of those amazing images and the hard work to put that video together just stunning. Thank you 👍👍👌

WOW - that was EPIC! I don't think I can pick a favorite because they're all amazing in their own right.
Thanks for making my backyard look so stunning, please come back soon
I'm in a holiday house overlooking Rydal Water and Loughrigg Fell right now and was lucky to have the beautiful fog conditions this morning from the house. Mads, this video is so awesome and inspirational that I go out to shoot here everyday. Love it.
WOW!! These pictures take my breath away. Absolutely gorgeous!
Damn Mads, this video can easily be your personal pinnacle!! What a visual and emotional journey. Got to bend my knee mister.

I'm hypnotized by your photo compositions.

The only thing I can say is WOW! what a film and the photos! Love your work!
Fantastic presentation! Thanks, Mads.
Already liked! Will watch it later with a cup of coffee.

Great watching three favorite photographers together.
Fantastic friendships, Fantastic scenery, fantastic images.

I love long form film length videos! Please do more of these.
Just brilliant Mads. A fantastic video and so professionally produced. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Really enjoyed it. 👍
What beautiful conditions ....................Great timing to visit the Lake District 📷👍
number 2 and 5 are my favourites, but wow, so many epic shots!
Fantastic video. What amazing conditions so that you could capture the stunning photos that you did. A true artist. I do have to say what stands you apart from many landscape photographers with their videos is your true enthusiasm, pure joy and the love that you put into the videos to share with us, your audience. I like the moodiness of this shot along with the rain hitting the lake water. Plus kudos to you to stand in that weather and take those shots for us to enjoy.
Absolutely stunning number 4 for me . At one point during your video of photos with the music nearly made my heart burst out my chest ❤️
Lived on the edge of the Lake District for 35 years until we moved to the Scottish Highlands earlier this year. You certainly had a range of Cumbrian weather during your visit and captured some great images of locations I know very well. Was there at the same time as you. After 50 years of visiting the Lake District I too walked away with images that I was proud of. Glad you had a great time and I’ve still not visited that water mill, it’s on the list. Also liked the valley landscape without the chimneys. Congratulations on an excellent video.
This was an 'experience' 'to watch this, the music, atmosphere, storytelling and of course epic photos was fantastic. Thanks from NZ
Until now I was only able to watch the first few minutes, but these alone justify a video! Insane conditions and I love how enthusiastic you are about it! 🎉
I love the Lake District going there on Sunday, I'm lucky enough to live two hours away. Thanks so much for your beautiful photos of this place.
Epic, Epic, Epic. There I said it Landscapes, Weather, Video well done. Well worth the time to watch more than once.
Regards.
Congrats on a superb video! Very enjoyable see you Three Amigos in action and admiring your brilliant photos - many thanks for sharing!
#2. Such atmosphere and mood to it.
Such an artist, your shots always blow me away, takes a certain dedication, skill and imagination to go out in all weather conditions and come back with absolute bangers xx
I love your enthusiasm and love of God's great artwork!
Hmm. Packing for a photography weekend. Going to have to moderate my expectations after watching this!
If you look at a beautiful landscape from afar, everything is beautiful, if you look very closely, your mind may change completely, especially when you see the terrible struggles of life happening ruthlessly inside that landscape…🤍💫
What a stunning shot📸🇮🇳🇮🇳
An amazing video, beautiful photos and one of my favourite places! Cracking work Mads, keep making your own jam.
WOW WOW WOW all I can say. Well done Mads those fog pics are amazing.
Absolutely fantastic and brilliant photos 📸, the thumbnail alone looks great 👍
One of your best videos ! You should team up more often with Nigel and James.
Simply magnificent from the first minute to the last, Mads. Thank you so much.
Wow what an outstanding presentation and generous sharing of your thoughts on composition. Your excitement is flabbergastingly great! Well done.
Stunning video. I live in the lakes and enjoy your beautiful pictures and narration of my beloved home. Great work.
Wow, Mads! Your video is awesome. I very rarely write comments, but you definitely deserve it.I really enjoyed every second! Thank you for sharing your incredible work!❤
That was a very enjoyable hour Mads, and the photo of the water mill was my fave.
Definitely a collection of beautiful photos.
Amazing indeed. All 9 are excellent, but I vote for 2 and also for the other photos from the rain storm, for they are so different and special.
Insane video Mads! Love the 1h format btw
That drone work about 17 mins + is beautiful. Nothing jammy about it, you were all out and about and in place ready. We have gone from RUclips videos to landscape feature films. Brilliant - in content and your joy.
Your photography is so inspiring 😌
(Give me a shout if you do 😉 )
Your best video ever, with some absolutely spectacular shots!
The section on the fog in the valley is magical. I watched the video twice. See me in the Lake District next Fall.
Thanks so much, Johannes. Yes, absolutely magical! :)
And your results from that closing phase of weather ….. wow
I couldn't believe I watched the entire video! Very entertaining and insightful. Awesome and keep the videos coming!
Thank you for your warmth, talent and professionalism!
Thank you so very much, Kristinka! 🙏

Just wow! Epic conditions with all that fog 😍😍😍
Mads, watched your video of the Lake District on RUclips this morning. Brilliant your best yet.
Great Video Mads. You truly are the master of fog and mist!. Thank you for your work. This is a great way to spend an hour in the beauty of nature!
I can't pick a favorite either. They are all beautiful! Well done!
Phew, what more can one say? I don't have the words right now. That was by far your best video. World class! Epic! Many, many thanks that we were allowed to be there. Thank you.
By the way, I like photo number 4 best.
