They Made Ed Cool

Our third DLC character in SF6 is arriving at the end of the month! The psycho boxer was a bit lackluster in SFV but Capcom definitely shows they know how to revamp a character and give them amazing new moves. Lets react to the new gameplay trailer and breakdown what they gave him in the new game.
Ed, the troubled protégé will prove he's no longer a pawn when he enters Fighting Ground, World Tour, and the Battle Hub on February 27.
With psycho power imbued within, Ed pummels enemies with his mastery of boxing.
Owners of the Year 1 Character Pass, Ultimate Pass, Deluxe Edition, or Ultimate Edition will automatically get access to Ed when he unlocks.
Street Fighter 6 is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Idk how much you care about Street Fighter lore compared to gameplay but basically Ed was kidnapped and planned to be a replacement body for Bison so he was experimented on which resulted in him aging much faster and gaining psycho powers. After Shadaloo fell he broke it off with Balrog because he didn't want him to get hurt and started a new organization called "NEO Shadaloo" with Falke and other Shadaloo experiments

Ed looking slimmer suits him better. He was beefy in game but if you look at the art in his story he was slender.
This makes him look more like someone his size would be for his weight class
Him only using punches makes it sound like he improved his craft in the sweet science which is further emphasized with his new flickers, feints and shoulder roll Drive Impact being a classic technique of a Philly Shell user

Think SFV's art direction made everyone into a beef cake. I like how they dialed it down in this game. Makes them look like less roided out freaks while still showing they have bodies fit for fighting.
