THAKS Sir, appreciate you! I keep telling myself to give those darn carp a chance down there, I see some big ones! What was your biggest this time around?
Yes, I’m going to make a few more trips to different parts in this area. Hopefully you don’t see me in the news! Ha ha Thanks for watching and have a blessed day!
That's the San Antonio River says so on all the San Antonio maps. Now you got me wanting to go to San Antonio, takes me five and a half hours to get there from Tyler, Texas.
Thanks for dropping in my man! What's funny, I'm wanting to head north to the Fort Worth area of late. San Antonio has fish, but it's a grinder no matter what time of year. I need an area where it's easy, at least for a weekend or two! Ha
Thanks RJ, appreciate you! They’ve been on my mind, waiting for the temperatures to drop and find a good window of opportunity. I need some new, more comfortable waders and I’m not finding any I like!
@@Aqua_Holic_Fishing yeah hoping December and January will be some good times. Hoping to follow your trend from last year with some rooster tails. You prefer 1/8? And yeah I hate the way my waders fit but man the ones that look good or look like they’d fit good really break the bank hahaha.
@@RJ210Fishing the smaller the better, I think I might wait on some fly action up there? At the front of mind at this point anyway. Oh yeah, I’ve seen some insane prices on the frogtoggs, simms and so forth. I don’t mind pay a decent price for comfort and durability, by these get insane really.
@@Aqua_Holic_Fishing man catching one on a fly would be fun. I gave it a shot last year but no luck. I need to change spots to find some better areas where they might. Hopefully try some rooster tails and fly rod.
Roosevelt Park is free and always a great starting point! High pressure, but solid fish on that stretch. This is where I was parked this time around. Get out there, it’s a blast!
Thanks brother, appreciate you! They’re finicky, they see a lot of folks down there. The guy I spoke to in the video said he was in that spot for a few hours. I got lucky and hit that big bass 3rd cast, he wanted a specific bait in a certain place. You’ll get em’, stay persistent! I checked that place you told me about, it was empty prior to the rain. Unless I hit the wrong place. Empty lot where some early development is taking place at this time. Have a terrific afternoon sir!
@@joshwagner8468 I’m thinking of trying to create some local tournaments within our area. I don’t know if that outfit will return, seemed pretty dejected with the turnout. It’s hard for us all! Your days off are my busiest days, weekends are tough for you and many others. Things rarely workout for the vast majority, as well all have a busy life and plenty of these damn adult things that get in the way of our fishing! 🤣🤣
Yes, some solid fish in this area! I’m going to dig deeper into the area of hotels and tourists next, likely end up on eyewitness news. Have a wicked good day!
Thanks my brother, always appreciate the kind words. Yes sir, share some love with those that don't get the opportunity to fish much. It's frustrating sitting on the bank trying to figure out if your goods will even work. I hope life is treating you well bud!
Thanks man, certainly appreciate you! That river has some beauties in there, they just see many, many folks daily. Thanks again for coming through and welcome to the channel!
They’re in there, just see a lot of peeps daily and get skittish. It’s a fun atmosphere, if the police and rangers are friendly the days you visit. Sometimes they get a little ornery, if it’s really packed. Have a great day Mike!
@@frankietorres5442 what’s good Frankie! I work the entire river personally, so it’s always different. Parking meters are free on weekends and holidays, so utilize those when you get a chance. Start from anywhere around or above Brackenridge Park and chip away at the river as you work downstream towards the south side of town. These fish are always moving and we should be as well. Have a magnificent week ahead and stay blessed!
