I’m 66yrs old n season ticket holder in lower Holte End, seen it all from the dark days of relegation from old div 2 to div 3 for the 2season we where there, and can go on on etc, inc watching your uncle JD playing, good striker he was by the way. Anyway what a special night it was indeed, even more so for me coz I had both my grandsons with me in the Holte End ❤UTV

What a performance, what a night, what a team and what a manager. This is such a special, special time to be a Villa fan so savour it, enjoy it and be grateful for the history we are making.
When Pau scored I was bouncing around the living room with my son. Gutted it was disallowed. When Duran scored one of the great CL goals I just sat there aghast . My mouth open and numb with disbelief . What a win , what a team performance OMG I’m still buzzing 💜💙
Hi Frankie, I totally understand those emotions. I felt a similar thing last night too. I felt very emotional when the teams came out - and I thought back to that Paul Lambert era, Alex McLeash, Jordon Bowery, The Lights Are Still On Twitter message..almost going out of business..and before then, the Doug years and those derby defeats. It just felt at times like we were never coming back. And I'm not getting complacent now but you have to enjoy and saviour these nights in football, these occasions and these moments. Last night was as good a memory as I've ever had as a Villa fan and it felt you - you, me, we - deserved it. We've earnt those moments.
The similarities to 1982 were very noticeable. The saves of spinks and martinez were 1st class, the backs to the wall throughout and the timing of the goal, unbelievable! Do you want to bet against us? I don't.... UTMV

Great podcast. I was similarly emotional. My first game was Villa and Leeds in 1992. Dalian and Gary Speed scored and both have passed away. Emery masterclass! To think he basically gave Jaden his full debut in this spell. Thought his defensive work was brilliant. Pau was my MOTM, he was brave with his passing and going forward. Referee was terrible. How did Kane not get booked?! Upemecano should have been sent off. Think Emery said Bailey had a knock.
