Sorry for the crash. Seeing this confirmed me that this HobbyKing model has a desing or CG problem. Years ago I built this exact model with retracts, a JetCat P20 turbine and Futaba radio. It did the exact same thing on the first flight, took off nicely and in the first left turn it snapped and went down, total loss, luckely the turbine was not dammaged. It was not due to radio or servo problems.
Ahh mate I’m gutted for you, I enjoyed watching this edf build! 38 frame losses is nothing, I regularly come down with a lot more on my EDF’s or Jet. I had the exact same problem with my Horizon Hobby T28 Trojan, a few days ago. I took off completely normal and after a few seconds, the controls started to get more difficult and bad. After line 3 second I was not able to go control the aircraft anymore. After 4 second or so, I got the controls back a little bit, but not perfectly. The plane made a very hard landing with ground loop in the grass. It’s still looking good and it has no damage. But I will definitely not take this plane into the air again with this problem. I’ll probably buy a new receiver and transmitter.
That# of faults is not the cause.. if you had a hold that would do it though. What reciever was it. I had a new 8 channel that has to be returned for holds, it was faulty.
What did you expect? It’s a Mig and supposed to get shot down and/or crash! Just kidding, that just really sucks. Be interesting if you can figure out why the comm loss. Very sad indeed. Interference issues are really annoying since they can appear randomly. Our field started having issues since the installation of a 5G antenna nearby.
Yea we have had a few mishaps over the past year. How close is the new Antenna?
@@thelightersideofrc about 1 to 1.5 km away
Sorry for your loss... 😞
Thanks.
information. this is a what a servo glitching crash, from too much vibration, looks like. full aileron deflection and a spiral to the ground. (there does not appear to be an excess of vibration, in this case.)
Yea no real vibration from this setup.
Man, that sucks. Sounds like another case of deceleration sickness. On the bright side, it wasn't a $10k build. Sorry Jon.
Thanks Steve.
Wow bad bad day
Sorry to see it happen
Thanks for the video though?
Lol 😝
No problem 😊. I share the good and the bad!
38 frame losses is completely fine a hold is what would pop up if signal was lost.
👍
Shit happens after all this good work you have done on this aircraft but I myself don't thrust on spectrum, sorry for that, greetings from Remi
Thanks Remi.
Its really sucks when a model goes down on the maiden flight. Unfortunately this is part if this hobby, we lose a model from time to time.....
Totally. If your flying.....it happens.
@@thelightersideofrc exactly. It's one of the first thing i tell people that i teach to fly: " Make peace with the fact that at some point you're going to crash".
Oh noooo...!!😭😭
Yea. Frustrating for sure.
Bad luck, I hate to see that happen. It looked like it dropped the right wing on the takeoff roll. I could not be sure but it looked like the right retract had collapsed. That could have caused a BEC burnout.
Frustrating to not know the forsure cause. Thanks for watching Brian!
Really sorry Jon. It's the worst part of the hobby. All that effort and expense, for such a tragic result. Onto the next one!!
Thanks. Yea, onward and hopefully always upward!😊
Issue not related to the crash of your Diamond ?? (transmitter ..... we have seen "strange" issues with Spectrum overhere..,.)
My Diamond was flown with JR DMSS. On my personal fleet i'm now flying Jeti.
@@thelightersideofrc Yes okay, now you mention it . . . . I myself fly Jeti for a few years now . .
Hi, is that 70mm?
Hello. 90mm
@@thelightersideofrc wow Which edf has the best sound you have ever heard?
The large fibreglass EDFs sound best!
this makes the hobby so trilling; will it make it this time? shaky hands pounding heart and little nervous, wonderful time.
Exactly!
Bummer
😣
You should never use an ez connector on a plastic horn for a fast model. That said, it's probably not what killed it. My first Habu 32 went in like that and that's when I started moving away from Spektrum.
Yea that's not what killed it at all. All horns, rods, connectors still in tact.
And that's why I don't use Spektrum.
✈
Thats no good it reminds me when I was doing rc we would often joke that when you are building what ever model you are making you should install a garbo bag in the model because 1 day your going to need it . I learnt quickly that I always had a couple of bags in my flight box/ gear for such a day. There was no Capitalist Yanks flying around that day in a F86?
HAHA. Good advice. Thanks for watching.
noooo that sucks ...
Yea. Sad for sure.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
lol. Yea.
Always sad to lose a plane.
Thanks Larry. Yea for sure.
Hellow sir , I am sad for the mig
I am interested to know the name of red colour plan which is always seem in your video in this at 33 seconds .
And I also like your jet engine videos ♥️
I belive its a huracan
No sir it's not
@@jorwalji5194 what is it? Cuz when I search huracan a picture of that jet comes up. Unless he's talking about the pointy looking one. Idk what that is
Thank you I got it 🥰 .and more to found your video on this jet with 300 swiwin engine ♥️
Thanks. Yea it's the Huracan or maybe the Diamond? The pointy one is the Diamond.
I really enjoy your Chanel. Very easy and pleasant to watch. 1 suggestion if I may: You should come up with a new intro. Current 1 is starting to look a bit old and plain. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the suggestions!
I've done that a time or two !!!!
If your flying....it happens!
What a shame, V3 orange receiver and a castle BEC and that won't happen again.
Thanks Ricky.
Well good try my friend😢
Thanks.
I’ll probably buy a new receiver and transmitter.
sorry to hear that. Never a fun time, especially when you lose your control! So dang stressful and frustrating.
Sorry for your crash... but it's a good excuse to get a new plane!! ;-)
haha. Thanks Georges.
That# of faults is not the cause.. if you had a hold that would do it though. What reciever was it. I had a new 8 channel that has to be returned for holds, it was faulty.
So fades/faults are ok, but a hold is a loss of signal?
@@icin4d absolutely not..Ive seen 1,000 faults and still no issues.. the communication going on in-between the radio and recoever is astronomical
@@icin4d absolutely not..faults are normal..holds are very bery bad
@@charlesfrank1969 Sounds like you are agreeing with me, but saying "absolutely not." Just a little confusing.
@@icin4d it would not cause a crash..28 frame loses is actually a good low #
BUMMER.....
Big time.
If you're not crashing, you're not flying hard enough!! I hate to lose a plane on the maiden but we've all been there!!
Exactly.
What did you expect? It’s a Mig and supposed to get shot down and/or crash!
Just kidding, that just really sucks. Be interesting if you can figure out why the comm loss. Battery failure or disconnect after take off? The way you described the events and the intermittent comms loss before complete loss sounds like a possibility.
HAHA. Thanks Thomas. fortunatley all the primary surfaces were in tact after the crash. All hinges ok, control rods and hardware ok. Haven't checked the servo's yet.
Nooooopo , damm thing guess u owe a mig 😗 feel for you all so much
😣
The only way to find out is call columbo sorry to see that crash mate
😂😂😂
No holds ? 38 fades is just fine .
👍
I would never fly an expensive model on Spectrum.... I've only ever had issues. This is coming from personal experience and my local area with a lot of high power transmitters about. The spectrum gear cannot switch on quick enough after a brown out hence why I lost a few aircraft while flying it. Went to futaba and FrSky and never had any issues with signal loss
Thanks for watching Connor and your input.
Oops, hopefully the second build will go quicker, guess no insurance for that eh? lol…
Nope. The Toy's don't get insurance.
Dang shame.
Yea. Sad for sure.
Unfortunately you skipped it off the crap grass and something let loose at that time. Guaranteed.
Cool. Well not sure what. fortunatley all the primary surfaces were in tact. All hinges ok, control rods and hardware ok. Haven't checked the servo's yet.
Interesting situation. Spectrum radio. No surprising, happened to me twice this summer. Plane doing what it wanted and no, NOT responding to controls input.
Now, what to do.
Situation like this is why i and only i maiden my planes. No one but me gets to feel bad.😉😀
Thanks Al.
So sad when these maidens go south... Sorry.....
Yea. For sure.
Classic life of every RC pilot... 😃 It got even bigger impact if you did not crash for a long time... Yeah should be an easy EDF project and this happend... 😃 Nothing big has happend, just lost the money like common by this hobby... 😃
Thanks. Good points!
"Sorry its a total loss" what happens now?
NEXT!
It's your own fault! Why do you use Spektrum? ✌️
He doesnt , customer jet
Why the hate against Spectrum? I've been using them since they first came out the only problem I've had is using off brand receivers. I've also used Futaba and went back to Spectrum.
@@eaglekeeper7737 cause they are trash. I don‘t know one single person with spektrum without problems
I fly Jeti. I have a shop S Radio for customer's setups.
