This car is brilliant in its standard form. Now it's a monster. Brilliant fun and it turns heads wherever it goes. For good and bad reasons ;-) . This is probably the start of the closing chapter for combustion engine cars (ICE), so we might as well enjoy it whilst it's still ok to do so.
Hi from Italy! Your i30N is spectacular.Have the same car, still stock. I’m not planning to install any bolt on mods but just a remap. Will be traveling from Italy to Germany to get the job done by a known Hyundai tuner.. 2400km trip🤦🏻 will be vlogging the journey this June.
This is an awesome car congratulations. After Dan Bushell has sold his car for unknown reason (he said it was too expensive) you are the i30N hero, probably you can't make it much better this is the (safe) max. , quite an etalon for i30N owners. I just have some comments here. Maybe you just forgot to mention, but it's recommended to replace the spark plugs (HKS M45XL). You didn't mention that you must buy >98 petrol. You can go for weight reducing if you want, it makes the car faster. Just for example a LiFePo battery could be about 6kg and the OEM Lead Gel-Pb battery is 26kg, that is 20kg difference. And here is a warning too: the DCT transmission's max input torque is 480 Nm, if you tune the car stronger you can kill (burn up) the DCT wet clutch. I can not name too much web links and brands because yt automatically deletes the comment. Maybe it was too much already and this comment goes to the trash automatically.
Thanks @telelaci2! Yeah I'm not planning too much performance wise now. Maybe the axle back but will be much further in the future. And I didn't know about the spark plugs? Why is that? And yeah I can have 97 octane fuel and above only! Not entirely interested in weight reduction unless it becomes a track car, at the moment it's my daily. Not sure if you have seen Hampshire Photo's video of my car but I mentioned that battery there ;) Yeah the torque is still below 400nm for me, the main gains was the BHP :D
@@goughys.i30n The new spark plugs have higher heat range and your engine's working temp is a little higher, so it's recommended. It won't add hp I think, but I donno I'm not an engine expert. The battery was worth mentioning if you felt like something was missing and you wanted more. It's not very important, but at least very expensive and fancy. You have an awesome car, you are the new Dan Bushell on yt. Please share if you add something new to the car. I think you are mistaken with the torque, it should be at least in the 450...480 Nm (331...354 ft-lbs) range, or even higher, you are really close to the limit that the DCT officially can handle. That's why it pulls like a train. You are confused because I said metric Nm and not imperial ft-lbs because I'm not from U.K. Check the Courtenay's dyno diagrams I think you got them.
