Thank you for your very helpful advice! I am quite sad to hear though that one would choose a PhD student who finished the PhD within 3 years over one who finished within 4 years. I do understand why that is but sometimes in life, things do not go as planned. I wanted to finish within 3 years, have always been passionate about research and see myself in academia later. During the first year of my PhD my husband got cancer, was fine for some months and then got cancer again. So, everything completely changed and it is difficult to give lectures, work on the PhD and take care of someone. Of course, you do not see that in a CV or maybe it is not interesting. But just because someone does not finish in time does not mean that they are any less eager and successful.
You are a great person. I loved your comment so much. I just got my MA and am searching for a PhD program. This comment made me feel less at east beacuse life is indeed hard. Thank you
I’m in my early stages of my PhD, I just love your plan. I can see now that I can do a couple of articles already. Thank you for your inspiration and ideas. Cheers Pip
Thanks for the beautiful quotation you have given in the last part of the video that being a scholar means to generate ideas and spread it to the world. Inspiring vlog . Thanks a lot .
Wendy - that is terrific. Congratulations - and enjoy the PhD journey. But absolutely - get that MRes data-mined for me. So much incredible work is buried in the masters. Let's share your fabulousness with the world! Keep in touch - you are fab txxx
Yes! I am treading into much needed, challenging, and terrifying territories. Im transforming my life into sobriety and one of which i pursue my passions, practice creativity, and custom design mutt life. I am leaving a 2 year daily IV heroin.& meth habit. I am so excited. My official journey begins tomorrow, well if i want to be readmitted back into the VA domicilary, i could not stop getting high so i got the boot, anyways ....thank you for this video, I've never had this conversation with anyone and its totally doable and interesting!
Morning Giles - so great to hear from you. Mate, I hope these are useful strategies for you. You let me know - as we progress - what else would be helpful. As always - thank you so much for your support! Txxx
No worries Alex. It offers a suggestion that I have used for 25 years. It is an option for your consideration - not an imperative to follow :) Every success to you! txxx
