Alright, we won against Calypso, and I know I shouldn’t be asking anyone this as a helldiver, but hear me out. If the Illuminate are so hellbent on avenging their 100-year old warriors, why would they focus on that one in particular? They could’ve shot all our pods, eagles, and pelicans from the skies using the SAM sites, which they know are important, as Anti-Air defense. There’s something we’re missing. Maybe they distracted us while they disabled other colony’s communications. Maybe they already conquered 1,2,3,4, even 5 planets. They’re too smart to act on shortsighted, and too vengeful to want to be stopped. Just be ready, divers. They’re in this for the long run, and we better give them hell all the way.
We, the veterans, already had our time with the Malevelon massacre, and today, the recruits have had to face what they considered the boogeyman. Just like us when we started, they were not prepared to face an enemy like this. Calypso was this generation's Malevelon, and although this battle did not last 3 months like Malevelon, that does not mean we shouldn't show respect to both sides: to the veterans who returned to service and those who still carry out their duty, as well as to these new generations who charged forward without hesitation to protect what is right. Another victory for the right side of history.
I have some tips, arc is good since it stuns the elites, you should run around the city for some SAM sites since theres like 1-2 every mission there, and shoot the shields down for the ground warp ships and gernade the doors
^ I want to add to this that Plasma weapons are good for Overseers because the explosive damage ignores the outer layers of their armor, but is bad against the energy shields due to poor rate of fire. The machine gun you start with, the Stalwart, and the HMG are all very good at overwhelming the energy shields. Harvester's leg joints where they connect the body are also squishy against machine gun fire :)

And do NOT use the flamethrowers on the voteless at close range. Fire does not slow them down and they'll use your own flames to burn you too.
