Hello everyone! Today we continued work on the green house. We cut all the rafters and ridge beam. The rafters were actually a lot easier to cut and build than we thought it was going to be. We have said it before, and we will say it again. This green house is SO BIG to us haha. It is coming out so nice. We are one step closer to it being finished :) Thank you all for being here, we appreciate you! Enjoy!

It's going to be great. I saw one couple who built a green house and they put in one window with color glass and a little small round table, and they have a date night with candles.

When Anthony does anything he gets it done. He concentrates 10:58 on what needs to be done. If he gives us more info great and if he doesn’t that’s Ok too! Rox and Anthony work so well together. It’s like they both know what the other one is thinking. Everything fits perfectly on this build. I really enjoy watching them so much. I’m thinking Mary feels the same way. More action and less talk is a good thing. Rox is so thrilled and I’m thrilled for her.

COLLAR TIES and or RAFTER TIES/CEILING JOISTS ......would strengthen the roof/walls, and you could hang things from the ties.....like pots or tools or wire mesh etc.... that's what we did .....looks good cheers
Will want that 8' height in the heat of summer. Even with vents you want an area that retains the heat. Not around the plants, it will help with wilt from soil temps. Remember, plants need to breathe as well.

Roxanne, at night put your head down to your knees while standing. Brush from the back of your neck to your forehead all over your head. 100 strokes. Every night without fail. I guarantee your hair will thicken & grow 6-9" in 3 months. I did this one summer, & my hair grew 20" no joke. I did this, cuz my mom cut all my hair & permed it before my freshman year. I was humiliated. Thanks to the 100 stroke hack, to bad mom l won. Lol. God love you & the family.

I just want to thank you Anthony for informing people about these big corporations and how they're using chemicals in the products that we use are bath products are deodorants or toothpaste and so on and even putting chemicals in our foods that we eat. I think that's the more people that becomes informed about what's going on and even about the FDA approving these chemicals that's being put into our products and our foods. But not only have to make very wise choices these days in the products that we buy and the foods that we buy. I also believe that it's going to take everyone across this country to make the big difference what is corporations the way that they make our products and the way that they make our foods we also need to make the FDA make a change how they approve things that's being put in the products in our foods. The standards of the FDA is really stupid I believe because they redeem raw milk consumption being unsafe but yet they redeem poisonous chemicals being safe for consumption. I just want to say that the greenhouse that you're building is looking really good good job to both of y'all on your greenhouse build.

With such high ceiling you could put in a small loft, long storage area. I’ve been creating stained glass pieces for over 10 years, Anthony, your woodworking is not much different. With an oiling cutter and grind you could make anything.

Ant and Rox, I have looking at greenhouses, and thinking about the roos and ceilings. The tin roofing seen on most farm buildings can now be found in fiberglass and cheaper than the metal! Probably the best for the greenhouse would be clear, and much cheaper than a glass ceiling. For wintertime David, Dogman and others have used a light-weight bubble-wrap insulation that could reflect the heat away in Summer and insulate in the Winter, due to it's aluminum foil coating. Not sure what widths it comes in, but it is very light and easy to handle. AND it is not that expensive! Just a thought, hope it helps! ❤❤

My Dad and I built a shed once. We stood the first 8’ stud wall up and I realized how high it would be and roof peak would be even taller. So we made the side walls 6.5’ and reduced the roof peak to 2’. This helped a lot.

Great addition! You’ll gain a lot of time on your gardening. I agree a 100% with your comments on big corps poisoning people and not even contributing to the domestic economy. It’s the same all over western countries but so few people make the effort to get the information let alone change their consumer behaviour
Roxanne that is going to be one nice greenhouse. I can’t wait until y’all finish it so we can see it. I’ve got a curious question which you don’t have to answer if you don’t like but you may also have plans for this in the future when you get finished adding the amount of planting beds you want, but do you have any plans on laying down some type of ground cover between all the rows and then laying down some mulch or something so y’all don’t have to worry about mowing and so much weed eating. I was just curious what your plans are. Maybe that’s news to come that we just have to wait for. lol!
I completely agree on the food situation, its just so hard to take a stand and not end up in the back of the line as a creator. I stand behind local companies and healthy foods as much as possible. Keep doing a great job!!

now that you have one side of your roof rafters up , measure your outside corners , square them up , brace them and the other side will be exact , especially if your planning on , whatever your using for roofing material ! measure corner to corner !

I think they come a hair longer so you have a fresh perfectly straight edge… maybe?
Just a thunk moment with the extra length on the timber.
Maybe it is for saw blade allowance. If you are cutting it in half then you get a true length on each piece
