Love watching you all working together ❤️. Glad emu was caught in the day time this time! Building 👷♀️ is coming right along! Watched Saturday a.m. 4:12 on 9/28/24 from Rocky Mount NC 😊
The building is looking great. My husband built a covered deck on the back of our house and a covered porch on the front. Glad you got your emu back. Hopefully he will be happy in his new pen.
I would hire you anytime to build for me. It looks awesome so what if it’s not perfect nothing in this world is perfect. Keep going you guys are amazing. Prayers that your emu is happy in new pasture. God bless
Very nice live last night. Abby is full of laughter, poor Izzy was so tired. HAPPY BLESSED BIRTHDAY Miss Izzy, you are a wonderful young lady blessed by GOD! I love how the girls are so interested, want to help and learn!
FYI for your next build. I'm not a builder so I looked up which wall the birds eye cut should rest on & copied it for you. Ithe cut is to keep the rafter from sliding off the wall. It is a stopper if you think of it Take care when measuring, locating, and marking the birds' mouth cutout at the rafter's LOWER section where the rafter sits astride the top plate. Just FYI. Good job building! My husband cut his with the circular saw EXCEPT for the corners (last 1/2") then finished it with the jigsa
Kevin, I’m not sure why the 94 5/8 measurement, but you should have cut them all the same and pulled or pushed the wall to keep it straight. If you have to make the birdsmouth cuts again, use the inside of the square. Makes it easier to hold. Also, when I built homes, we would make one template and mark all the others from that one. You just have to remember to cut off the line. Makes things easier and quicker. Enough about that. I really enjoy watching the content and giving you the thumbs up. Stay safe my brother!
The reason the measurements were off (I think 5/16 was the worst one) was because the boards were warped from Lowe’s and when I nailed them to the floor I wasn’t able to get them pulled 100% straight. I just made sure the walls were actually straight up and down which caused the distance between the walls to vary what they did. Great idea on using the inside of the square. I can see how that would make it easier to hold because there would be more support. We’d discussed making a template, but since they weren’t all the same I scratched that idea. I appreciate all the advice. Like I’ve said many times, I’m not a carpenter, but can get the job done. 😂. Thanks so much for watching and for your comments!
Whoo, so happy you got her back. Your building is looking good, ya'll did a great job. Im asking my favorite channels for a favor. Would ya'll please 🙏 pray for my 90 year old Mother, she had a stroke a few days ago 😢, besides my Son and 2 grandchildren, she's my last living family member. So if you would, I would be forever grateful. Love and God Bless you all 💜 ✝️ Jennifer in AZ
@@GrownsFamilyFarmThank you so much, it means the world to me that ya'll will pray for my beautiful Mother Jan. Simply love your channel, and family content. God Bless ✝️ Jennifer
My father remodeled several of our homes built things including a guitar...never had a saw accident until he was 86..when he was sawing something..wasp landed on his neck he smacked it and let go of the board and bam there went his finger...😂 he said he need that finger tip because he did play guitar any more
Hey Growns Family, yup best made plans alway get messed up LOL but at least they weren't tragic so all in all things worked out okay. As far as putting wheels on the shed man you need to look at the fact it is heavy all on it's own and then it is going to have stuff in it that will be heavier. You are talking about an axel and tung and all that which adds to the weight so big tires is all I can tell you. LOL God bless and until next time take care now.
That is the truth! Yes, we were trying to decide if it would even be worth it to try to add wheels or not since it would be heavy and also quite involved. Thank you so much for your input!
You keep building projects and soon you will have all the tools you need...NOT lol...my husband is a retired carpenter with more tools then a tool store but it seems he still needs to buy tools...he says they just keep inventing new tools...give me a break...😂😂😂
Love how you include your girls . Memories they will cherish .
Absolutely! We love spending time as a family!

Building is really looking good. Kevin you are becoming a master builder.
Thank you so much!
Kevin, no one is perfect. I think that you are doing a great job so far. At least it's only 1 board. I agree with Kim, Stuff happens.😊

Awesome! Thank you so much for the support!
2:40 am Saturday and as I watch I am thinking Kimberly must be tired from baking a beautiful birthday cake for Izzy...❤
Baking wasn’t too bad, but the decorating was definitely more challenging than some of the others I’ve done!
The shed is looking good. Glad you were able to rescue the emu again.. Never a dull moment on a farm. GOD bless y'all.
You got that right! Thanks so much!
Emus gone wild 😂. Im still saying chicken coop. Thanks for sharing.
It don’t have to be perfect as long as it keeps me dry

Great job Kevin! Abby and Izzy are going to be future DIY experts.

That's good the girls will be one step ahead on their geometry! And learning carpentry to boot!
For sure! Glad to be able to teach these skills early! Thanks for watching!
Where are the 2 cute helpers ❤❤❤❤❤
They were out playing this time since they couldn’t help as much. ❤️
Hi 👋🎉i like your videos keep making more new farm animals videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! We will do it!
Your welcome
I wouldn't put wheels on the bottom. Instead, build skids with eye bolts on the ends that you can attach a chain to so it is movable.
Good job
Thanks!
Bird mouth! At the end of the board to set an on the ledger board
Looking good. Maybe emu wanted to be with it's own kind❤
She left the pen with the other emus in it to run away, but is now with another smaller one and seems to be more content. Thank you!
Not everyday you see an emu with a sheet over its head. Hope she handled it well.
That helped calm her down so fast!
❤❤❤❤

Praying for your precious Mother. 🙏🙏
"GOD", Please Touch This Mother JAN, WITH YOUR HEALING POWER," Restore Your Child, FATHER, IN JESUS" NAME I ASK, AMEN & AMEN... 🙏🙏🙏...
the cut out in the UK we call it a birds mouth,
You need a skill saw to cut angles, then finish off with hand saw. Coming from a 76 old lady! Father was a builder.
Thank you!
💕🙏
On most job sites, 1 guy measures and nails and 1 guy cuts..You did great by yourself Kevin....
Thank you!
You can't be perfect all the time you have to learn as you go at least if you make a mistake you own it that makes a good carpenter
Thank you so much!
Just want you to know... You are an awesome dad. Also I think it's a chicken/duck coop since you chickens and ducks got attacked
Thank you so much for the kind words!
My husband says a good carpenter learns how to hide his mistakes 😂❤😂
Love that!
Kevin , I built my chicken coop. It's not perfect. It serves its purpose.
That’s what is important!
Hi. Maybe it's for storage?

Oh my goodness! That’s not good!

Can you give me a move-in date yet?
I am thinking you are going to use this shed for a feed shed? 🤷🏻♀️
📐💗
What was picking on her.
