Praying that the hurricane didn't impact you too bad. I live in Augusta and I actually thought of you and your family when the storm came through. Hope everyone is safe. Looking forward to your next video.
Trees down stumps out looks great guy's ! You saved the solar 👍, Yes some things just have to be done the old way lol :) Just a little at a time it will come together, Take care
Glad ya'll were able to get those stumps cleared! Looking forward to seeing the video where the mobile home comes down the driveway! Thanks for sharing the install of the rafter straps. Hadn't seen those before. Had I known, I probably would have just put those on my coop instead of adding the collar ties, but I guess for the coop it really doesn't matter that much. For the house it'll just let you have more headroom in the attic. Hope y'all stayed safe during the hurricane.
Haha, after this last few weeks we have definitely had to slow down and deal with some other things in life....this is one reason we wanted to be able to take our time with the build
I remember when hurricane Fran dropped 8 trees on my (vertical) back yard. My family helped me some, but I had to buy a chain saw and cut the bigger trees into 6-inch cookies that I could barely haul out of my yard with my lawn tractor/trailer.
Helped a friend once put together a shed (albeit a very small one) and I nailed the old fashioned way and loved every pound of the hammer 😊. Now removing studs, that’s a whole new different beast…I bet it was satisfying after it was done though 😊. Progress ❤
Haha, yeah, we did the same when we built our 8x8 solar shed...even cut all the wood by hand! But with our limited time to build the power tools are a lifesaver
When you get enough wood cut the tree will fall. Hope the last hurricane didn't make too much extra work for you. We just came through Lyons ,GA and man it rained. Well we traveled south from Greenwood,SC on our way home. Hooked back up in Folkson on 301 south. I was thinking that if I knew where you were I would say hi. Brother and sister, I say a prayer for you everyday. God bless your family.
Hey folks, thanks for the update. Great job getting the stumps sorted. Hopefully all of the clearing and widening of the driveway doesn't affect your privacy too much. How long until the delivery of the manufactured home? Have a great week and stay safe!
Thanks for the comment! Fortunately, our road is half a mile long, so we are still quite tucked away. The hurricane really did a number on our area, so the delivery date is up in the air right now. Hoping sooner than later.
@DIY_or_DIE must have been a bigol wolf spider! My wife and I love watching your videos. It's good to see a nice wholesome family, it's too rare nowadays.
Hey Eric, we are okay and will have a new video posted on Sunday! This last month we have been dealing with a few major issues including illnesss, Hurricanes, amd a death in the family. We appreciate your thoughtfulness, and we will see you soon!
@@DIY_or_DIE Thanks for the feedback and I feel sorrow for your loss. The hurricanes is something we do not know in Europe, so I hope not too much damage to the new house. Illnesses are part of our lives and happen once in a while. Take care and good luck in the future. Eric from Belgium

Thank you for thinking of us! We are safe, and will be back to work this weekend. New video should be up Sunday 😊
Another great video, thank you for sharing your story, each day the dream comes a little closer, thank the Lord.
Thank you and God bless! 🙏
You’ve got a lot more energy than me. Doing a great job.
That would have made the perfect Christmas tree
Would've been a 50ft tall Christmas tree 😅

Haha, we were worried about those panels but Justin had things under control 😅 thanks for joining us!
Keep swinging that hammer and you’ll be done before you know it, great job on the stumps ❤❤
One nail at a time 😅
That stump grinder surely saved the day. I could hardly believe the size of that spider. See you next Sunday.
The spiders out here are like small dogs!

Yeah, the straps were super easy and convenient and saved me time cutting and nailing!
Great Video, good to see y'all !!
Hope and Pray y'all were okay during the hurricane 🌀.
We took a hit, unfortunately. Stay tuned!
Nice video my friends 😊
Thanks for sharing

Oh my, that is a lot of work for sure! We are blessed to have our tractor to help clear things quickly 🙏
God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
God Bless! 🙏
Have fun

I so look forward to your videos. Too bad they're not longer.
We will try to make some of them longer for you 😄
@DIY_or_DIE falls coming and so are shorter days.
They make a device called a palm nailer, just for driving nails like that. Much easier than a hammer.
Neat, does Dewalt make one? 😄

Thanks Rick, we are safe and doing well after both Hurricanes. Had a couple close calls and lots of trees down, but the house and solar are good!
How about a cup of tea ☕️ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 xxxxx 🕷️ spider man lol xxxxx
Tea is great too 😄
I did the ridge straps also, my code guy never seen them used before. I didnt want collar ties for my cathedral ceiling. I used the 24" straps.
Yeah, honestly think it was easier than cutting and nailing collar ties....should perform the same function

That's a Huntsman Spider.
We do have huntsman spiders here, but usually they have striped legs. They like to hide under our grill and scare Lil half to death.

Hope they didn't charge you for the bottom 3 inches of that hammer handle! 😂 jk . We have to laugh these days! Enjoying every video!!
I pray that you are doing OK! Please let us (Your Fans) know ASAP by any type of post!
Thanks for the prayers! 🙏❤️ we are safe, and will be back to work this weekend 😊
Plant lavender around the property.. mosquitoes hate them it will be your free zone😊
GA mosquitoes are a special breed. We have lots of anti mosquito plants and they laugh at them 😆
@@DIY_or_DIE works in Northern Michigan.. yooper tough
Im curious as to the weapon he carries?
Are you guys OK? Were you affected by the hurricane?
Hey Shawn, we are safe, thanks for checking in!
What model stihl chainsaw are you using? I’m looking at the 362/462.
It's the stihl farmboss
Hey you can hit those holes on those color ties with a nail gun sure can
I'd rather not try 😅
@DIY_or_DIE and that's fine too I was just saying that you could
How did you guys fare with Hurricane Helene? Hope all is well.
We took a hit, so stay tuned!
Did hurricane miss you guys?
Nope, it most definitely hit us. Stay tuned!
Ugh. Sorry about that. Hope you all are safe and can recover quickly. 🙏
@@DIY_or_DIE oh no. Thinking of you

Justin has been wanting one for a while!
Are you guys OK as I don't see any new video's from your side?
