"ive been waiting...ive been waiting for this video allllll myyyyyy life and its finally arrived"
🤘🏻
But it's not quite right...
This band wins my heart every time. Great picks....
I saw Silversun Pickups open for Foo Fighters in 2012. They were great Lazy Eye was one of the first songs I learned to play on drums.
"Car Seat Headrest sounds like a male Courtney Barnett". You sold me there, man.
You could just listen to both.
Whats in my bag Beck would make me so happy Amoeba.
It would make us very happy too! We've tried to make it happen in the past and it didn't work out. We'll try again.
Amoeba there have been multiple pictures of Morrissey shopping there. That would be a tough one...
Brian and Nikki were on Comedy Bang Bang recently and they were charming and funny. They also did a really great job doing intimate versions of their songs. I really haven't listened to them since their first EP -- which I loved -- but now I might check out some of their more recent work.
This is a really well put together video! I didn't expect to watch the whole thing.
I fucking love Silversun Pickups and their choices
I gotta say the Under the Skin soundtrack is fucking AMAZING,
These guys did well, liked a lot of their stuff or i'll check it out
I loveeee this fuck yes. so many subtle things confirmed in my mind with these record choices!! super rewarding. Fucking love this band though seriously. cheers
I highly approve of the Aphex, Dilla and Under the Skin picks.
Silversun Pickups such a great band
Get David Lynch on What's in My Bag.
They already said that they asked and be won't respond. Drop it.
E L S E W H E R E calm down
PAULIES GOT A RED SHIRT AWN
Josh L - If I had to guess what is in his bag, he would have a carrot, dead sparrow and a little person wearing a zoot suit.
*It would be body parts. Then the real mystery would begin...*
this is awesome! One of my favorite WIMB videos
Respect for the Desmond Dekker pick.
A Moon Shaped Pool, Under the Skin, It Follows; really great picks. Saw that DVD of The Master behind them, need that.
loved these guys, awesome picks
Yeah Joe Vs the Volcano is pretty good, i remember watching it as a kid and loving it.
Nikki is still a teenager in love with the posters on her wall at heart. This is amazing.
I love them. this was an awesome pick
The soundtrack was the best part of "it Follows".
Love the Derbyshire mention! YAY!
I agree with everything Chris says about Joe Vs the Volcano. It really is an underrated film, and a very beautiful one as well. Absolutely LOVED the sets, cinematography, music (RIP Georges Delerue), not to mention Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are great together.
Anyways, episode request: Klayton - What's In My Bag?
fuckin awesome picks on this episode, expected nothing less from these dudes they seem rad
Fantastic picks.
Love love love them all!
The debut from Autolux, called Future Perfect, is one of the best albums from the 2000s. I played the hell out of that around the same time I was playing Pikul.
I love SSP latest album the production is so good.
I really enjoyed getting to see what Joe picked! I kearned a lot about his personality.
Desmond Dekker! Solid first pick.
What's In My Bag Michael Gira
???
YES PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN
Props for picking up Dilla 🙌🏾🍩❤️
They didn't pick any Smashing Pumpkins record because they already have all of them
Yes! Joe Vs the Volcano love - much deserved.
Vinyl digging!!!! I remember the days of a early 2000s dj
YES JOE VS THE VOLCANO
Under the Skin é um puta filme e a trilha sonora é genial ! Mica Levi é uma grande compositora !
Love that Chris is wearing a First Ave shirt.
I love this band but I feel like I'm watching an episode of Portlandia...
ive tried listening to savages a bunch, but always end up turning them off half way through the album and listening to siouxsie and the banshees instead.
Adore Life isn't very good, their first album Silence Yourself is what made them popular. If you dig postpunk, give that one a listen.
***** Listening to them now. Good stuff. Somehow never came across these guys. Thanks!
Oh yes, Brian - I am a massive Radiohead fan and In Rainbows is my favorite too... although it is closely followed by Kid A, Ok Computer, Hail to the Thief, Amnesiac... oh god, they're all amazing! Thanks for the reminder of how good Moon Shaped Pool is. Need to listen again.
Great band, great taste
I like Chris' t-shirt the best. Seen too many shows to count at that place.
that is amazing that they are car seat headrest fans
Nikki got talked over a lot.
A ton lol every sentence
Yeah was he on speed or is he just the worst kind of asshole? (The kind that doesn’t even realize he’s being one)...?
It seems to happen often, but the awkward chemistry works well when it is converted into their music. Nikki speaks with her bass and we hear it well
yes too bad, i really wanted to hear more of her taste!
*Anyone standing next to Brian Aubert should be as concise as possible.*
great picks
oh hi mark
What's in my bag - MC ride
HIGHTONEEE lmao yes
HIGHTONEEE stay noided
and feces
Hendrix
WE NEED THIS
Yo pense que estos milandranos eran mis favoritos desde que los escuche SSPU
neon demon, it follows, awesome soundtracks
You had me at Desmond Dekker lady.
Neon Demon is an amazing movie, like almost anything Refn did. And the music obviously too.
Under the Skin amd Neon Demon are some of the best scores ever.
The Under The Skin song is in Cyrus Bennetts part in John's Vid!!
Goddamn I love all the movie talk!
I've never listened to Silversun Pickups, but they seem like such nice people, maybe I'll give them a go.
You got nothing to lose. Easily my favourite band of the 21st century
@4:39 Radiohead - They are so far ahead of the curve, that there music just gets better with time.
Really Enjoyed'💗
I love Zatoichi movies too
Your're next was awesome.
Diggin the KC hat
Amazing how many artists pick aphex twin records on this show. He really is a genius
Since some one made a request.... How about Aphex Twin? Would be great! :)
no chance
Can we get either Bilinda Butcher or The Bilinda Butchers on the show?
Bilinda Butcher is awesome. We'd be way into getting any kind of MBV WIMB. The last tour was 3 years ago, but we'll be on the lookout next time they are in LA.
Looooooove them!!!
She said Desmond Dekker, and I am now a way bigger fan of Silversun Pickups. RESPEKT.
John Dwyer, would love that
the only thing i knew from all of their picks was finding dorothy :/ i guess i should see more stuff
Nice KC hat
shoutout to that fella for wearing a first ave shirt
what's in the bag? oh some organic kale, some beans, oh and tofu
Bassist of Duran Duran shreds, indeed.
One only few good bands of 21st century
What's in my bag with Jesse Lacey? Amoeba
Brian Aubert...
Interesting last name. Where have I heard it before..
I won the silversun pickups guitar at Amoeba
When he brought up The Room I just couldn't stop laughing
If I ever meet them I would make a point to recommend Birdemic to them, that’s another all time classic
Autolux was the tie breaker
Is the soundtrack to It Follows really unique? Or it is it just a copy of every John Carpenter score ever written?
Jamie Laszlo the latter
Neither
i like how in the beginning they pretend that there is not just a front man in this band
Good pics. If you like the bass playing in Duran Duran I always thought they were an almost literal interpretation of the band Japan with much more emphasis on commercial viability. So... listen to the band Japan who dissolved nearly the same time as Duran Duran started (or so). You'll hear the similarities particularly in the first 2 DD albums. But you may enjoy Japan immensely if you haven't heard them (Mick Karn bassist, David Sylvian vocals, guitar, etc). Sorry this is 4 years late.
Ah, thank you for reminding me about them. I don't think I've intentionally listened to a Japan song for almost 20 years since I was probably 12-13. My little brother actually liked them a lot and introduced me to them. Although I'm really not a big Duran Duran fan tbh I do remember liking all the Japan songs my brother would play. I'll definitely have to look them back up and give them a re-listen. Will be on the look too if my local bookstore ever gets any Japan CDs. They would definitely be fun ones at the very least for the collection. It can be such a happy tragedy when you are reminded of an artist you used to enjoy but have just forgotten about. Then hear a song you haven't heard in years that you loved. So happy you re-discovered it but realize there are countless other songs/artist you love but have unfortunately forgotten. It's really unfortunate when it's smaller/independent artist you do remember but just simply cannot find their music. I buy as many CDs as I can afford when I go to shows. Some great and some not so great objectively lol but just so I have them and support the artist. A few of them Ive been able to get signed too from artist who were playing nearly for free in tiny venues. Some of those artist have ended up getting huge too :). Sorry for the comment being almost completely unrelated lol. Reminded me of a band I haven't heard in years and my brain wouldn't stop braining and typing haha.
@@AndrewHarmless-wv5or i'm very much the same way. Was a great read and I fully agree about the thrill of seeing a band before they become famous and getting to meet them. I've had many such cool experiences (the old 9:30 Club on F Street in DC was perfect for that). Thanks for the reply!
that criterion zatoichi set is expensive and lavish as fuck.
blacksdocrack want
blacksdocrack It might be the same box I saw there a few weeks ago. I was going to get it but it was super pricy too
Oh hi Mark
cool
The SSP’s drummer is sick AF.
the BBC radiophonic has to be one of the most .... what s that, this guys r really geeks
That was actually one of my favourite picks. Would kill to own that
The Liver Fun hic-ups!

Zatoichi!!!
Hello semi similar quirky creative people in comment section and video!...? Anyone here seen "The Phantom of The Paradise"? If you haven't consider checking it out. And..
Bodyknowledge 77 Love it!!! Got to see it on the big screen a few years back at a horror con, which was great.
It Follows soundtrack: A-
It Follows film: C-
The neon demon ❤️
I’m also of the few who like Neon Demon 🤟🏻
Can someone tell me what song is playing at 4:48?
evancook.audio I believe it's Daydreaming
Yeah, it's Daydreaming (second track on A Moon Shaped Pool). There's a great Paul Thomas Anderson video for that track too: ruclips.net/video/TTAU7lLDZYU/видео.html
Thank you both!
Every bass player loves John Taylor. It’s required.
You're Next is an AMAZING horror flick. What's that guy talking about?
#JOEHADTHEBESTPICKS
Don't be telling people about the BBC workshop, that's my secret.
