I honestly think unless the relationship is a really strong one that has been going for a few years solidly, I think if one of the couple does relapse the other has got to strongly think about stepping away to protect themselves, i don't feel that this action is selfish it's protecting themselves. it doesn't mean you love them any less and if the one who's relapsed truly loves the other they would understand. just my opinion
