    • @WaltonCakeBoutique
      @WaltonCakeBoutique  2 года назад

      The trick is finding an edible medium that can work. Frosting or meringue is used with piping tips. Or the tips are simply poorly designed. Like a few have said pretty but useless. 😅

    I don't think it looks good and would not want to mess up a perfectly smoothed cake with that nozzle. Looks too risky to me and I hate putting frosting in a piping bag and then taking it out to stiffen or soften to experiment again. A real stencil, transfer, plunger cutter or just piping it directly on with a small tip would be so much more reliable. Save the Russian tips for flowers. The cake is splendid. Thank you so much for the demonstration. I won't need to order those nozzles. LOL

      @@WaltonCakeBoutique Yes, they look very tempting and I am always looking for something new and novel. With florals you are going to love the height you get and the resulting design when pulling the nozzle up, but that shoe doesn't relate well. LOL Thanks for giving us the results of your experimentation.

      @@joybrumback3042 you're so welcome and thank you for watching. I've had so many requests to show a demo of the shoe tip. I couldn't leave it any longer. 😄

    If you want 3d I think the stuff creme worked the best. As far as methods go, the last one, where you used as a stencil looked the nicest. My opinion

      🤩 I thought that too! it's hard to get a defined shape by using it as a standard piping tip.

    A flat stencil would be just as good and I have a silicone mini shoe mould for chocolate, isomalt etc. But many thanks for the video and for saving us money on frivolous stuff that doesn’t live up to the hype.

    I liked both methods. Could you use royal icing instead of butter cream, piped onto baking paper, allowed to set hard and stored for later use e.g. the shoe?

      Hi 😊! thank you! I think it's definitely something to give a try. The worst that can happen is that the lines aren't defined but you may still end up with a shoe shape 🤔.
