My husband and I noticed on Stephanie’s video, that when Steffi found the little black goat, there was a black and white goat, licking that baby and she looked as if she had stuff trailing out of her backside. I’m not saying it is the mother. I’m saying you might check to see because she was really interested in that baby and was licking it and taking care of it. I know y’all will take care of the baby one way or the other. Thanks for listening to this old grandma.
Just for future reference. When we had to do this years ago. My mom used an old playpen with papers. Worked beautifully. Check your resell shops or garage sales❤❤❤❤
Since weeks they have „the plan“ for more troughts - then just do it! The goats have to fight for to little grain, climbing on top of each other and Steph thinks it’s just funny😠 Sure also not very good for the highly pregnant mamas
Absolutely more troughs are needed! Those poor mama goats having to push their way through. It drives me crazy! Does it not bother you? -- Please move those black feeders (that are on the fence near the hay)over to the 'feed pen' so they are not so crowded. It hurts my heart to see them desperate to reach the feed. Love your channels & those kiddos of yours!
Why don’t you quit trying to tell people what to do. You are very rude. Every one does things different, not YOUR way. The Eddies are very caring people and do their best. Please think before you talk out loud.
@@ElizabethAllen-u4p The comment is rude!! These people are doing their best. The care they give the animals is exceptional. You can put your point across but do it in a kinder way. Have a good day.
@@rongray4847 So sorry you feel that way. When the Eddy family puts their life out in public for the whole world to see, they open themselves up to observation by and comments from that public. IF you are judicious in your observations it would be obvious to you that a number of those goats are having to fight their way to the trough. What that means is some of them are not getting enough feed requiring at least one more of those long troughs.. Since none of us knows the first thing about many who read and comment, it would be better not to respond to any. To accuse a commenter of rudeness when their level of experienc is unknown can also be rude.
Thank you so much for being a good farmer to the new baby goat. What a precious angel. He will need lots of love and feedings but he will be your lifelong friend! His coloring is amazing! I love black and whites!
Love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals and the homestead and the new home and truck and baby goats being born
That little buckling is so pretty, a tricolor baby. I do hate when the nanny will not accept a baby, but you found out, there is a reason. Let's hope this little guy will thrive and everything is well with him. Would the chickens eat grass seed if you spread that all around in their pens? Looks like you could use 2 or 3 more feeders spread out for the goats. Just so they would all be more spread out for eating. Carley wanting to kiss you as you work on that fence panel.
The space where the baby goats are kept warm and comfortable has that open doorway in the back. How about you put the board on hinges that you can just pull it up out of the way when you don't use it? Seems like that would make sure you have it when you need it.
Hi from Mary Iceland 🇮🇸 😀. Good to see you to day out with the butyful animals, dearest Stephanie you 😘 got new baby in the house ,so beautiful boy. God bless ❤
I am glad to see you fixing the holes in the fencing. When a goat wants to get out it will do anything! Poor little boy goatlet being rejected by its Momma! Thank goodness you can bottle feed him! 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Since Mama G made it so you had to adopt her baby and take care of him, I would make his name a part of your family's. I would name him Eddy G... that way, he still has a little piece of his mamma's as well. 😊❤
Cool idea setting up a warm area for the baby goats & their momma’s. As well doing your best to bottle feeding the 2nd baby. Yes putting shavings on the ground in the chicken pens is great. Thx for sharing your time with us. Blessings ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on the new babies. What a cute little boy he is so tiny.❤ , his sister is also love their colors. Glad you found that hole & fixed. 🤞 they don't find another. God Bless 🙏 Steph looks like she is doing better. Hello Eddy family!
Thoughts from an experienced goat shepherdess: No matter who the mother is, the MOST important thing is to get some colostrum into the baby within two hours in order to prevent possible complications. Sooner, the better, as long as the kids temperature is normal. Colostrum provides essential stuff needed to live the first few months. Since you can’t find the afterbirth, and you were not present to see the birth, maybe another goat licked the little rejected kid off while Momma G was kidding baby two. Once another doe licks the scent of the real momma’s birthing fluids off the kid, the momma will reject the kid. That’s the main reason that having limited number of goats together in one area is so important. We never had more than 10 does per penned area. Some mommas love stealing babies. Do your dogs clean up or lick off the babies dry? Even if a doe had numerous pregnancies and birthed multiples; their next pregnancies could be different; especially as the doe ages, then birthing one kid is typical. Even if a goat or sheep rejects their newborn, that’s rarely because the momma thinks there’s something physically wrong with her newborn. I hope this can help you. Just don’t ask me anything about chickens. I haven’t a clue on raising chickens. Ok,
It's easy to see how much you love every one of your critters and that they really are members of your family. Mike and I love and respect you and Stephanie so very much. Always remember that. When our kids were in high school and playing sports, a lot of their friends used to call me "Mama G".....like your goat that delivered the twins in this video. So I had a good laugh when I heard her name. In my case, 'G' is for my last name 'Gulyas'. Perhaps that will put a smile on your faces. I hope you will have a wonderful weekend. I hope that you can get some rest. You look so exhausted Brandon. I think that the holidays do that to all of us on top of our normal wear and tear. When I think about all of you, your wonderful family and your critters, I can't help but laugh and smile. Thank you for getting me to smile and laugh again. After all, laughter is the best medicine. With loads of love, prayers, and gentle hugs for y'all, and your critters too. May God bless y'all always, Donna Gulyas in Florida. 🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏🐕🦝🐎🐐🐐🐐🐐🐄🦙🦃🐔🐓🐣🦆🦚🌴
Yes! Those are some huge beavers. He was patching his home. I have watched them catching beavers in Alaska and they do put the trap in the water. Good luck! You will get them.
what is funny to me since watching all the family farms i do the last 2 yrs i took for granted goats pigs ect would take on other mama's babies as mama cats and dogs often do 62 yr old city girl from san diego learning a lot watching you all lol
Having the gates set up makes it possible for you to get the shavings out in the momma goat and babies shed without any animals running in and out. 👏🏻👏🏻🙂
You shouldn’t have a buck in with them or they will be pregnant again after birth, they need a break in between kidding. Not saying this to be mean, I ran a goat farm for years loving your animals is great but good management is a must in all areas .
I checked mine this afternoon as I was feeding and I have four bagged up pretty good. One of them has got really loose ligaments. The other one is starting to soften so it’s only gonna be a couple more days. Maybe a week before mine are gonna start dropping babies
Don’t look like you got the extra feeders that you were talking about getting before the babies. The babies beat you to the punch. I will say a little prayer for the little boy, are you sure it’s mama g’s because when you first found it you said it’s belly felt full and mama g won’t let it touch her? That’s good that you’re making sure it’s going to be okay. The chickens are looking good and healthy. God bless

I noticed that too. I think thats the babys momma.
