Hey as a Dad really trying to prepare well for a fall ball season where I will coach for the first time in a competitive (not YMCA) setting, I appreciated hearing this. Travel ball is big around here: but my boys just want to learn how to play, and they’re falling in love with the game right now. It’s a special time.
I wanted to say, thank you for all the resources you put out there. As the season approaches, I plan to get signed up with your membership.
Thanks again for your resources and professionalism and generosity to us “Daddy ball” coaches.
    Stephen from Louisville

Great message. Thank you for not being afraid to discuss the obvious in a world where too many parents are trying to live vicariously through their children.

No problem! We are here to help all coaches, we do not sugar coat anything here. We are providing knowledge with the only intentions of bettering our players.

Wow! You touch on so many good points! Thank you guys for all of your great material. I always have the thought (as a coach) of “don’t be their last coach”. Or “don’t be the coach that turned them away from the sport”. It’s easy to forget to have fun sometimes, not because your trying to be a drill sergeant, but because you want the kids you’re coaching to win! You want them to learn that hard work pays off. Anyways, thanks again coaches! Great work!

@@DominateTheDiamond thank you. I do have a question. I was only able to log in to the last few minutes of your most recent live feed on Facebook and didn’t have time to ask it, I hope you don’t mind and can answer it for me.
We always teach “the swing starts from the ground up”. My 9 year old has a great looking swing. Sets up properly, loads, strides with the front foot, rotates hips, but then when the upper body goes he rotates to where he pulls a lot of balls or” slaps “ at them. Granted he makes good contact so his slaps are hard ground balls to 3rd base side which at this age are a good hit. Is there a drill to show him proper lower body movement but then swing to “drive through” the ball? Thank you.

For me "DADDY"ball is coaching where the sons are the only ones who get the opportunities not just Dads coaching.

Daddy should never be allowed to coach their kids. Period. It's one thing to coach in little league where it isn't competitive anymore & those kids aren't likely to play it into high school (let alone college), but parents should absolutely never coach their own in travel ball & God forbid...in high school. Have college kids coach. Old high school or jr high coaches, ex-college coaches. PE majors, etc. Hire a coach for the season & stay in the stands (parents). It makes the experience much better for all (including you)
