Absolutely brilliant... thankyou.. just a quick question.. do u lay the hemp blocks straight onto the geotextile membrane? Just literally sit them on...
Hi, looks great. I'd like to know more about the limecrete blocks. These look fantastic. Are they usually used for flooring? Or are they walling/flooring general purpose?
Is the total pack of glass foam aggregate 10 inches, or one layer of it which gets compacted? In the Hempcrete book I read about using a 120 mm layer of glass foam (or expanded clay) aggregate. What makes this situation different than that, what is the reason you are using double that amount?
Silly question perhaps but what kind of gloves are you using. Working with this stuff using leather gloves and the friction worked a whole straight through the glove.
will this combination work for a floor over the front porch? In other words, the floor is exposed to the Minnesota winter air. Could this set up work in such a case?
Hi Ryan, I get Glapor from Ty-Mawr lime in North Wales but if I’m doing a limecrete floor I usually just get supply and install from the limecrete company in East Anglia.
Hey will, I use both of those companies. Really great to see you using these products, would love to finally meet up at some point. Due to meet with Graham end of august/ September. Keep fighting the good fight!
Amazing!! Please continue doing what you do! We need more people like you.
The level block & batten subfloor is a thing of beauty ♥️
More of these hempcrete videos please
Nice floor structure

Nice.
8s the glapor expensive? First video i've seen that. Looks cool
Hi well done! How heavy was your plate to compact the Glapor?
Looks like pumice stones

Hi I think I just have standard gloves, apart from getting the stuff out the bag I didn’t really touch it, used a broom and a rake.
very interesting... 🤔🤔🤔
How thick is your complete floor?

Is it harder than gravel to level if you use it to lay tile or block patio?
Hey will, where do you get your glapor from? 🌲👍🏼

No membrane underneath?
Thermal mass concrete outside the insulating hempcrete….go figure
Hi Peter, could you elaborate on this?
what sort of u value do you get with it 🤔
With 300mm of glapor and an 80mm Hempcrete block you get U=0.2 if you need better than you have to use more glapor or more Hempcrete.
Whats ratio priducts used plss?
Please be a bit more specific, I’m not sure what you are asking?
