I always appreciated the levels of honesty all three of you brought to the podcast. I'll miss hearing Mike. I hope his job situation is solid, he's an asset to the Lakers - as were you Pete. But frankly, we've all missed your videos, I for one can't wait for you to start making breakdown / coaching videos again in this new JJ era.

I understand how it was a dream job, but for a listener, your content wasn't as fun after you joined the team. You were by far the #1 voice I wanted to listen to about the Lakers, but once you joined them, your voice was neutered in a sense. Them taking issue with you calling the Hurley thing a "saga" is ridiculous. They are crazy, but these are the same ppl who texted Jerry West's wife that his lifetime season tickets were rescinded. Their whole approach to PR is bananas.

They rescinded Wests tickets because he talked massive shit about the team which got leaked. I’m not a big Rob or Jeanie fan, but anyone who talks that amount of shit about a former employer or current employer shouldn’t expect to continue to get benefits from that organization. That’s not how the world works.

The response to that should be to take notes and implement changes - not to take it up the ass. Ain’t gonna happen and I get it. Then rather than taking it up privately with ownership he moaned about how his relationship with the team wasn’t good. Sorry, that’s litigating your shit through the media to change perception.
Also if you want to talk about taking it up the ass, asking Dr. Buss to choose between you and Phil all because you didn’t like the relationship with him and the owners daughter is a petty move.
Great GM who built Showtime and Kobe/Shaq, but not a flawless character. The Lakers have issues, but I get why they acted how they did in that situation.

Yo this is crazy, I was going through my old subs and saw, LFR and was like, dang I remember the baby Lakers days. Clicked the channel and saw a the last vid from today was 3 years ago, and this vid was 17 minutes ago.

I been locked in to this podcast since the first young core. This pod introduced me to Hollywood hoops with Eric Pincus that no longer exist, darius then Cranjis. I learned more about basketball from these after game breakdowns than anything or anyone else. Pete is even in 2k in the social media section that's how much of a staple he is in basketball. Can't wait for next season
I think this is great. I missed hearing the real opinions of Pete and Darius where they don’t need to tip toe around things. I will miss Mike who brought a ton to the podcast and always kept it 100% when he could. Glad Mike will still be covering and Lakers & you two can spread more of your wings. Cheers!💯

This is great news for us but again points to the trash that is the Lakers front office. It's getting so hard to continue rooting for this Lakers franchise. From the muted (read WEAK) response to the great Laker Jerry West's death, to this, the Lakers are a fumbling bumbling org that would embarrass Jerry Buss

Been a Laker fan since I was a kid in the 1970s. Through Showtime, Kobe and Pau and through today. Been a faithful LFR fan for 5 years. Your pods carried me through ups and downs of the Lakers and ups and downs of life, through the pandemic and more. Bummed that the job fell through. I’m definitely team Pete and Darius all the way. Glad that you can now have full freedom to tell it like it is. Let it fly from way downtown!

Thank goodness. This was my favorite podcast prior to you joining. Pete's passion for lakers basketball is truly unmatched. Organizations who are more concerned about narrative then facts are typically the more dysfunctional ones. As a laker fan I hope this isn't the case. Selfishly I am looking forward to more unfiltered content in the future from my favorite podcast/media team.
I could never find your content once you started working for the Lakers. It stopped popping up on my feed. And I think generally became less interesting. But I'm glad you're back. Looking forward to hearing your breakdowns. It was a great decision

not a lakers fan for obvious reasons (this era) but i did watch LFM on twitter and talk there and love that you guys referenced Chick Hearns heart for the sport. Its exactly how i recall it too....Sports media has lost that.
