Just wanted to state a fact that everyone overlooks when it comes to first take. They aren't the best sports commentary broadcast by a long shot. They are set on every bar & bar restaurant by channel though. So if you were to remove every bar and restaurant that automatically just chooses that channel, not necessarily for the people or that show. Which mind you, the show is on mute with closed captions, they wouldn't have nearly the numbers that are bolstered.

@@chuckwilliams4434 I would absolutely watch FTF over first take everyday of the week if they went head to head. But I also think fewer ppl watch or are even aware of FS1 so whoever is on that network will be behind the 8 ball going up against ESPN.
First Things First best show on either network, chemistry between Nick, Wildes, and Brou is off tha charts. Nick is great heel commentator, best thing goin right now.

First Things First has been my very favorite show now for a couple of years. They are a class by themselves in my opinion.
First Things First is the best show. Kevin Wildes is funny and adds entertainment to the show I think people forget how important it is to make the crowd laugh instead of just all sports talk just like Shaq, Chuck, and Kenny used to do and that’s why people watched cause they brought PERSONALITY
I think FS1 is saying...Get Up and First Take, we not gonna compete with all, but after first take, come to FS1! We got next!

ESPN is simply the “default” channel for every bar, every gym, every restaurant, etc… Not everyone is actually watching First Take! But I guess that doesn’t really matter in terms of ratings…

So very true! Here in Vegas it’s every bar every sports book, are the people watching the programming or is it just background noise?
$20000 NFL Sunday Ticket is the average annual for the average occupancy of 351 to 500.
If you multiply that by the 48000 bars & casinos in the civil suit against AT&T DirecTV then it is almost a billion.
That is the average size sports bar both in the Midwest & Southeast so it is not just the Northeast.
Both Tilted Kilt & Twin Peaks so not just the Las Vegas casinos.
Most bars, unless you're in a tourist city, aren't open at 10 am during the week....

There is no combination of talent that will lead FS1 over anyone. Cable channels are losing viewers, and this is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. IMO.

Sports commentary shows are getting boring. Its just overkill. The average sports fan is on youtube watching some more exact local podcast type show on their favorite time. Pardon the interuption and first take are down big time in ratings. People are getting over these shows. For me, I'm really tired of the GOAT talks and everyone having their opinion on where a player is ranked and their place in history. Its just overblown and getting old
FACTS! I still like The Herd but prefer his podcast network. FS1 does a better job of making shows fun and not do political. These channels need to go back to original content. ESPN had the top 25 best ever list, Stump The Schaub, The OG SportsNation with Colin and Beadle was fun! The only debate shows were PTI and Around The Horn. ESPN just feels like sports CNN and I’m not even referring to how political they are now.
