Another thought: if we truly believed that each of us were made in the image of God, and truly believed that God is who He says He is, we should all be terrified to look at one another. Or rather... it's kind of a miracle that we don't need each other to wear head coverings. We should be amazed every time we see another image bearer.
Head coverings……. I think George Carlin said it well. I don’t trust anyone who tells me I HAVE to wear a hat, and I don’t trust anyone who tells me I don’t HAVE to wear a hat. 😂
Yeah, I think one of the worst things about the use of face coverings as a tool of oppression is the resulting negative perception of head coverings altogether. And there's the further downstream effect of a warped view on cultural norms of propriety altogether. Seems not very different from why rape is so evil. Yes, the act of rape is evil in itself, but its true evilness reveals itself over time in how the victim almost always ends up with a resulting warped perception of sexuality altogether. Can sex be a tool used by evil people? Yes. Can cultural norms of propriety be a tool used by evil people? Yes. It's not far removed from the old "Hitler wore shoes, so if you wear shoes you must be like Hitler" thing. But I'm damn thankful for shoes. And sex. And cultural norms for propriety.
2:25 I think you've already lost me. Maybe it's because I'm thinking of 1 Cor. 11. I think you are too, but I don't see the core of that as hiding identity. That's why I think the robbery analogy always throws me off the horse.
I don't get the extent to which dishonor and disgrace are tied to the head covering or to hair in general, but my instinct isn't that it's wrapped up in idendity.
No it's pretty confusing. I'm re-reading it. A man doesn't cover his head because he's the image of God, but a woman is the image of man and that's why she covers it?
Ok but real talk what does it have to do with angels. I get that angels are above us but if that's the reason then why don't men also have to cover their heads. (Or did they, with yarmulkes? I have no clue
I want to dig into this statement more. I kind of feel like there are multiple ways I could go with this, and I’m not sure which is the right one, so it might be more fun to dig into that topic with other people.

Men love things veiled. Girls want to be seen. What to do!?
Hahahaha you did it

It really does read like a symbol of subservience. I don't understand how you're now making it a symbol of power. But I'm lost in the sauce out here.
I do see it saying "it is her glory" so I'm just as confused as ever. It's not just you bro

So you're saying women shouldn't wear lipstick?
