    This is basically the yamaha way of creating synth sounds in montage.

    What do the actual samples look like? Are they a single cycle, or just a small bit that loops perfectly?

      @jjay775 Год назад

      i'm guessing got to be single cycle to transpose

      @@jjay775 Since I commented I've watch a few more of his "128" videos, and I'm pretty sure they're short samples, not single cycles.

      @@ThePurpleSnork - Thanks for confirmng - they'd have to be very short (1 cycle is ideal but can be hard to detect for complex waveforms) otherwise you get the munchkin effect when you transpose them.

    I dunno you may have the raw waveform but your losing some of the best parts of synths like my matriarch id lose the delay unit and the amazing patching and the filter .. your better off just using a vst as far as sound quality goes

    Synthesizers sound beautiful and love to listen to them but I’m a pianist. I hate the sound synthesis process because it’s not an artistic process as it is to play jazz, classical or any other style on a piano.

      Understandable.. Thank you for your perspective on this!

      This is a odd take .. artistic? Do you know how much goes into making a unique patch? Not only are you designing the sound your also playing the notes for melodies and chords ..

      Weird take ngl....I believe synthesis is one of the most artistic things you can do in music, be it additive or subtractive synthesis

    hardware integration to DAW is the challenge that most synths fail at badly.

      I have alllllll the VSTs and I vastly prefer the sound I get out of multisamples because they're the real deal, complete with preamp noise and all the beautiful little imperfections of analog.
      that said: the title is admittedly clickbait and I still do use synths all the time when I'm jamming ;)
      so: you're not wrong! I agree.
