Is it still possible to get that MB sidechain rack?
18:30 can you explain analog modelling? Can't find anything on that topic.
1:45:30 I have an important question about the part around "you either feel it or not... up to you", what does ill.Gates mean by going to a long walk in the woods/graveyard? is it to self-introspect during a long walk thinking about if music is really your identity/purpose? my bad if i'm not getting the message haha. the only reason im asking is because: after taking music more seriously within all aspects of improving my music and doing my best to pursue it as a living, there's something bugging me AT THE BACK of my brain if i really wanted to do all this to pursue it. and i know im the only one who can know that or introspect about that, but it's making me start to think if is music really my identity/purpose? i've told myself a hundred times that YES it is my purpose its what i love to do, it's my identity, yet... there's still something at the back of my brain bugging me. maybe is it that i'm lazy and half-assing it?? or maybe i'm just overwhelmed having to learn all aspects of music production? but i want to pursue it still? or maybe my drive for music isn't as big as i thought it would be (im still convinced my drive is high though). now i dont even know if im gaslighting myself with this too. it's so worrying... and the SCARY thought of my blood, sweat, and tears and effort into music could be all useless if it's not really for you... lastly, i make music because I LOVE MAKING MUSIC, it's WHAT I DO. its FUN, and i want to make it a living than anything else in my life (i make music everyday, watch a lot of tutorials **+i've watched this video like 10 times to really solidify the lessons taught** and i dont really do any other hobbies) just like what ill.Gates said: "you either feel this or not", i think i definitely feel it, but theres just something at the back of my brain BUGGING me... and with that reason, when I have some sort of intrusive thought saying: "oOoOhhHh am i really a musician???" i always say "OF COURSE!!!!" but its been weeks.... and these "am i rlly a musician who wants to pursue musician things?" intrusive thoughts wont shut up lol my bad if it's a long description about what i feel, but i hope someone understands, my goal is just to know if it's really for me, because it would all be useless if it weren't. again i know i can be the only one who will know this more than anyone else (i will introspect more) but if someone can relate and give me at least practical tips and advice that would be so appreciated! this is an important question and insight for me and any help is super appreciated LOVE PRODUCER DOJO!!!! [might delete this comment if i get info/data i wanted]
Thank you! I appreciate you. I will be joining!
Great stuff! Thanks
I loved every minute of this video. Thank you!! 🙏💖
Can you make a vid on performing live with maschine? Like you would set it up etc
Setting up a live show? Maybeeee that’s a dumb request because most people bring a track list to a venue that has a DJ set up and a great sound system built in. So, I get that. I get how in doing it by industry standard terms you make it easiest for you and the venue, run far less risk of laptop crashes / RAM issues and sound quality issues, so maybe I’m answering my own question here. Lol But my wife sings and I wanted to help her by launching her instrumentals from ableton push in a small bar setting. Any tips on like “DIY ableton DJing from the box” as opposed to “bringing your USB to a proper club”
thanks for this dood
I need notifications for these streams 😢😢
If I don’t start making stems early in the process for me it usually ends up being too time consuming to organize and bounce every little thing into stems
Great stuff, can't get enough of these lectures.
I haven't even started to produce music yet. After a music therapy class or two this winter I'll be here.... thanks for doing this for the community!
Niiice 🎉
awesome!
🥳
excited for all that's to come <3
Ill gates live producing would be dope af
I really liked the live stream track feedback stuff. You’re the best in the game at that. You’re very detail oriented and give really in depth advice. I know a lot of sound design things are in the works, but I’d love to see some tutorials on that from you. I bet you have some unique methods that you probably can’t find elsewhere on RUclips. Thanks for all you do! 🤘
Also, things like branding tips, how to make effective websites and marketing strategies. That would be killer.
Interviews would be awesome, or a podcast. Also long-form track creation is always nice to see. Thank you immensely for all the help!
You had an older vid from the weeklys on leveling the mix that id be interested to see. Only a portion of it is still avaliable on the old site
☘
Indeed!
Filthy!
Thanks a ton for these tips. The whole idea of iterative sequencing has helped me tremendously. Particularly with my vocal chops and glitch percussion. It's so nice to have a solid, repeatable structure to work within that still allows for maximum creative freedom. Super underrated techniques imo
That's awesome!
<3
Glad you enjoyed!
<3
i love your presentation style and humor keeps my brain engaged.
Glad you enjoy it!
This made my master. Now I get the same loudness with less limiting needed. Glad this just saved me from buying one of these fancy plugins, that do the same thing behind the scenes. Melda is great and I already own other of their great tools.
Definitely!
this is a long winded way to say Oxford inflator

My ableton utility does not have mid/side. How do I get it or show it in Utility ?
On the "width" parameter you can choose the stereo wideness. By default its set to 100% but you can add more width or reduce it from that parameter!
Waveshaper and a compressor are way different tools usualy for way different purposes. A compressor is reactive and shapes giving contour and usualy helps to perceive transients ou the resonance... Waveshapers are constant as an EQ and flatten the wave (signal) almost like (soft and hard) clippers... Compressors are better for one thing and waveshapers are better for other things. But BOTH can help to increase the sound perception and bring the lower parts way up... Thank you for the video!
Great point! <3
Great explanation. Is part 2 found through your producers path course or somewhere else?
That’s wild
Oh yeah! Subconscious and emotional state are very interesting
holy shit bro
Mind blowing for sure!
Can you give practicable prescriptions as it relates to this phenomenon?
Thanks
Super helpful to understand!
was that a grapefruit bubly?
Spotted!
That flavor is a good one!
man this is so spot on

Does meditation help reprogram or is there any way to be so conscious of the unconscious!?
Meditation helps but journaling every morning helps more.
Journaling is a great way as @illgatesmusic mentioned!
Im procrastinating by watching a video on procrastination. fml

I mean… that’s a MUCH higher level than amateur-crastination! You’ve gone Pro!
Procrastination happens, but you bounce back!
This is always such fantastic advice, and I love the clarity with which you deliver it.
100% great advice!
You’re like all the positive aspects of an Acid Trip wrapped up into the human form lmao. If i had the money id take the course just for the experience
So much positive energy!
When dubbing, I feel it is helpful to have control over the resonance of the filter you are running the delay through.
So, where can you get this rack anyway? I'm studying these techniques recently, but I'm doing it differently. E: I was able to recopy it from your video, what do you use for your spring reverb? You send it to the delays, right? Is it better in the end to use racks instead of the traditional sends for that stuff? Anyway, the video gave me some really good insights.
Jamaica really paved the way for so many different styles and genres in the bass music scene big up❤
