For anyone that wants to know, unlike the MSI, the KTC H27T22 can do 8bit + FRC color depth at the full refresh rate on DP. I got a response from techless directly confirming this. Seems KTC has mismarketed the DP version as 1.2 while in reality it's DP1.4 .
can you expand more on this new to me, topic? It seems I should leave HDR off and just adjust slightly using nvidia filters. But would there be a benefit to leave on 8bit+FRC since i'll still be getting the full 165hz anyways? It wouldn't deter the performance for my FPS games right? Also is the cable included 1.2 so I have to upgrade to a DP1.4 to get 8bit+FRC @ 165hz or will the cable that's included suffice? I just placed an order!
@Dantido: Thanks for the info. I've enabled the 10bit setting in the Nvidia drivers, but can't see a difference. Can you clarify whether one needs to fulfill any other criteria to enable the setting, like replacing the DisplayPort cable?
I asked KTC support, and according to them, the DisplayPort cable is also capable of DP1.4: "DP cable supports DP1.4 protocol with a maximum transmission rate of 32.4 Gbit/s (final actual transmission rate is determined jointly by the board and the display panel)"
UPDATE 1: Reportedly some people are receiving a different version of this monitor that's using a different panel (from Innolux vs the original by AUO). -The original AUO version comes in a cyan box, while the new one supposedly comes in a brown box.- I don't know yet how the new version performs, so this review only applies to the original AUO version! UPDATE 2: I've reached out to KTC and they confirmed that there are currently two versions of the H27T22 (AUO and Innolux). However they now all ship in the same brown box. KTC want to update the listings on Amazon. Let's see how that goes. I urged them to choose a different name for the new Innolux version. UPDATE 3: Reportedly the Innolux version has 2 HDMI ports while the AUO version only has 1 HDMI. This should be the easiest method to tell them apart.

Hi, amazing videos! And thank you for giving us the panel details, i really like those. Can you please review the brand new Cooler Master GM27-FQS? I have heard good things about it.
Man your reviews are amazing, I am interested in this monitor since I found it on Amazon for $240 but i still want to know something and hope you will help. So I feel difference from 60FPS to 120FPS but I really don't care for more, I'm not playing competitive FPS games and instead of running my monitor to maximum 165hz I prefer to have 100-120hz with better visuals if possible like 10bit support, also some features are not working with adaptive sync on and I don't consider such features useful at all, at 1440p with adaptive sync enabled in most games I will have around 100FPS and my question is how response time performs in this refresh rate range? I am asking because of most monitors performing best with it's maximum refresh rate and having terrible response time at lower hertz and this is definitely not what I'm looking for, i'll be glad to get any recomendations thanks...
This monitor can do 1440p at 120hz and 4k at 60hz. It doesnt say anywhere online that it has 4k but it does. Doesnt have 2.1 but with freesync u get the 1440p at 120.
Hey I appreciate your reviews and effort, will you perhaps do a review of Lg 27GN880-B? It is at a good discounted price in my country and I am thinking of buying it
Just bought this monitor and i received a new rev. v2 with Innolux Q7E panel. New version can be easy differences by 170hz and 2 hdmi instead of 1 in v1. I think your settings will not work for me, because... I even have the default contrast ratio 60
My KTC h27t22 Q7E has terrible black uniformity with poorly designed backlight, I'm very upset about this. I expected that ips has this flaw, but not as huge as my unit(
cool stuff always interesting to watch about not popular device. any chance we can see more of this? like Chinese brand SANC. which have interesting model M2750QPA, but almost with zero reviews on it
Are you gonna do some recommendations for black friday Monitor deals? I LL be especially interested in 1440p gsming monitors who are able to receive and sample down a 4k Signal.
Hey techless, I used your calibration settings, but my colors look washed and very low contrast even at full contrast and brightness. How can I fix this? Am I doing something wrong?
hi what do you recommend between Asus VG259QR, Gigabyte Gp G24F and EX2510S? i've been trying to search for non S version of it and i can't find any in my country, so just want to ask for help thank you
I mean if they offered money and didn't ask you to review it for what it wasn't then that is paying you for your time and valid. It would be stupid to say leaves a bitter taste as long as you mention it which you did and sounds like you would so them paying you wouldn't be uncalled for!
Hi, I’m looking to get this monitor but need to be sure of one thing, my last monitor was a asus vg25qm and it had a problem with adding input delay of about 30ms at 60hz, does this monitor have any anomaly like that?
will you review the g24f 2? i think its an updated g24f judging by the name. its the cheapest 1080p 144hz ips monitor i can find and im wondering if its any good especially for its price of $150. maybe its the new budget king since 24g2 has been fazed out.
Curious if it has Vesa mount? I saw a square where the stand and monitor connect, but nothing was said about Vesa. Unless I missed it, which is possible. Thanks for the review. I'm looking for a 1440p monitor, but not really sure why to buy an off/new brand instead of a known name when they are the same price and performance.
On Wednesday I bought the LG 27GP850-B.AED for around 370€. Do you think the price/performance ratio is good? Or would you recommend another equivalent monitor that is also available in Austria?
just got the monitor, it seems slightly worse in colors than the msi monitor (g27rqpf) i am replacing, but at least it is able to get to a good lower brightness which i need for my eyes i think the contrast is better however, since my background is black, comparing side to side, this has better blacks it also is only tilt adjustable -_- i think the h27t22s for 120 is crazy value, and honestly, most anyone needs, everything else will definitely feel like you're paying a premium

It has great specs (I switched from 60 Hz to 165 Hz and was surprised at the difference), the monitor stand has good ergonomic options, and I did the full Eizo monitor test and noticed no dead pixels or other issues. I'm a very picky person and yet I have no real complaints. I got the monitor for 241€ and configured it as per techless' review, and at that price point it seems vey decent.
I wrote a longer comment with some nitpicking (nothing major), but it got eaten by RUclips's spam filter.
However, note that some people are receiving this monitor with an inferior panel. This version can be identified by it having 2 HDMI ports.
Can the GeekBuying be trusted if you are shipping 3-7 days?
Any update on this?
@@Nyhtii decided against it, so i wouldnt know
Should I buy the LG 27GP850 or this one. What would you guys recommend?
Great vid as always! You should really consider reviewing the Xiaomi Mi 2K Gaming Monitor 27" if possible. It could be another value king but im not sure. The monitors separates it self from the market by featuring the most minimalistic design on the market in my opinion. Just a subtle request from a fan :-)
Would you say it's worth buying it over the Odyssey G5 S27AG50 or MSI Optix G273QF?
I'm currently looking for an affordable 165hz 1440p monitor and these are the three best ones that I could find (the Odyssey is on sale rn for about the same price as the Optix)
Which one did you get?
For what it's worth, my H27T22 has never nagged me when changing my brightness settings like you mention at 12:03, I wonder if that's an EU vs US regulation thing
🤔
Just bought this monitor, convinced me lol
The monitor is amazing, loving it so far. Definitely recommend
Does it feel high end?@@jhall9945
Bought it on sale for 240 dollars. Havent recieved it yet but it seems like great value.
Can I ask where you bought it from, please? Thanks!
@@adaniel8632 Sorry for the late reply, but I got it off of Amazon. I grabbed it on a sale that was ending that very night, but it looks like it is back down to 240 in a new sale. So far it has been great, no dead pixels, I would definitely recommend getting it. In case you don't before this sale ends, I can't imagine it stays off sale for very long.
Techless Theres Black Friday in my contry What should i buy pls tell me MSI Optix G242=179 Euros BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510S 24.5= 179,00 Euros the normal BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510 costs 100 euros mroe AOC 24G2AE/BK, 23.8= 189 Euros MSI OPTIX G241, 23.8" =169 euros and Theres a Gigabyte g24f but i cant buy that cuz the price=220 Tell me thank you so much i have watched alot of your videos btw i mostly do gaming
I noticed MSI has a new 24 IPS that reaches 3000:1 contrast ratio at 170hz. It's called the OPTIX G2412. Anyone know of anyone that is actually got their hands on this model? A less than 200 dollar IPS with low refreshrate and that contrast ratio sounds perfect. Usually panels around that sometime don't even get the listed 1000:1
Its contrast ratio is 1100:1 not 3000:1
@@sss-ht1jp Yeah, I saw a couple different stats for it. It's probably not 3000:1, but hey, it's still higher than the average for a gaming monitor.
Its so beautiful, i will order it! Just found this monitor today ;D
Waiting for your benq 360 hz tn panel monitor review
Finally, good and deep review for ardor gaming infinity pro
I’m really struggling to make a choice on a new monitor as it’s so overwhelming. Could someone recommend me the best 1440p 27 inch monitor under 320$ for gaming?
The msi optix g273qpf is about the best of the best at that price point.
Im glad i have a vesa mount because that pink cable management slot is horrendous
That's cute, looks exactly like the displays i get from china, perks of being asian. At the link, I get a price of $270 for this KTC, for ref, i can get the same display for $167 very commonly before coupons. But $270 compared to what big brands offer is still very value. Good review!
Could you send where you get it please?
Good review I wouldn't mind getting one but can't find them anywhere
babe wake up techless uploaded
New sub
What a very good and honest review
Would you recommend this monitor or the XG27AQ ($300 now on Amzn)? I've watched both your videos and cannot decide, thanks!
i really want to upgrade my setup buyng a ips monitor, i saw a monitor the LG 27GR75Q, now after watching this video i really don't know which monitor to buy, i can't find any good review about the LG 27GR75Q have someone tried it?
why my settings menù is different? i have the same monitor
Hi, amazing videos! And thank you for giving us the panel details, i really like those. Can you please review the brand new Cooler Master GM27-FQS? I have heard good things about it.
Do you recommend lenovo y25-25 240Hz monitor and is it good?
is this better than the Acer Nitro XV271U M3bmiiprx? Both on sale right now but the Acer is $20 cheaper
I ordered ktc h24t09p - 24" 1080p 165hz and i hope it is good
A question , the color accuracy is the same as the "tuned "profile in SDR compared to HDR on ?
Keep the vids coming!
Plese review another KTC monitor: KTC H27S17 or 32 inch model
is this good for console gaming? needing hdmi 2.1 for 120@1440 or upscale to4k?
This monitor can do 1440p at 120hz and 4k at 60hz. It doesnt say anywhere online that it has 4k but it does. Doesnt have 2.1 but with freesync u get the 1440p at 120.
This or HPx27q or m27q pro?
Hey I appreciate your reviews and effort, will you perhaps do a review of Lg 27GN880-B? It is at a good discounted price in my country and I am thinking of buying it
How much is the sales price? Ive been looking into the 27GP850-B which retails for $100 less i think, but can be found on sale for $150-200 off
How do you turn the FPS in the menu to 165? Love the video btw.
did you manage to fix this problem? because I just bought this monitor and I also can't raise the fps to 165
This looks great! Hope it can sell it HK tho...
I expected that ips has this flaw, but not as huge as my unit(
cool stuff
always interesting to watch about not popular device.
any chance we can see more of this? like Chinese brand SANC. which have interesting model M2750QPA, but almost with zero reviews on it
Will this monitor be good on my ps5?
I'm curious, is this monitor really 420 nits? On its webpage it states to be only 300 nits, and other reviewers also only claim to be seeing 300 nits.
Are you gonna do some recommendations for black friday Monitor deals? I LL be especially interested in 1440p gsming monitors who are able to receive and sample down a 4k Signal.
what about Monitor input latency is it on the 0.1ms or more?
Hey techless, I used your calibration settings, but my colors look washed and very low contrast even at full contrast and brightness. How can I fix this? Am I doing something wrong?
does it work fine with max mini m2
Is the ICC profile for AUO version ? It's really more gray when I use it on my innolux panel.
hi what do you recommend between Asus VG259QR, Gigabyte Gp G24F and EX2510S? i've been trying to search for non S version of it and i can't find any in my country, so just want to ask for help thank you
How is the black uniformity?
How can you see the service menu on Lg ?
I mean if they offered money and didn't ask you to review it for what it wasn't then that is paying you for your time and valid. It would be stupid to say leaves a bitter taste as long as you mention it which you did and sounds like you would so them paying you wouldn't be uncalled for!
Hi, I’m looking to get this monitor but need to be sure of one thing, my last monitor was a asus vg25qm and it had a problem with adding input delay of about 30ms at 60hz, does this monitor have any anomaly like that?
can you pls review the Acer Nitro XV272UP ?
Have you tried any Xiaomi and Koorui monitor?
Can u compare the new ex 240 and ex2510s ?
How do know how to get to the factory menu for this monitor? Am getting this one soon and would like to see if the panel is the same
Please make a review of ktc H27T22S
will you review the g24f 2? i think its an updated g24f judging by the name. its the cheapest 1080p 144hz ips monitor i can find and im wondering if its any good especially for its price of $150. maybe its the new budget king since 24g2 has been fazed out.
According to the product listing on Amazon it definitely does.
Just installed it, it does have a 100x100 VESA mount.
@@Kohega how do you like it?
@@Milan-cf1xe I like it, what I don't is the IPS Glow mine has but you can forget it. Its good overall
What is IPS glow? I’ll look it up…
That is crazy cheap for 1440 IPS, wow
How do you fix the audio on the monitor 😊
Can you do a review of Xiaomi Redmi G24? It's a 165hz monitor costing only 86$.
So how is the new panel? seems that now they only sell the version with the new panel.
i like it the new panel :D
I always watched your videos but just figure out i wasnt subbed 😬
Now i did!
On Wednesday I bought the LG 27GP850-B.AED for around 370€. Do you think the price/performance ratio is good? Or would you recommend another equivalent monitor that is also available in Austria?
Es gibt Modelle mit einem besseren Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ich finde dein Angebot trotzdem gut.
My h27t22 is perfect besides one very small green stuck pixel. Idk how to fix it
Whats a good open control software for monitors
i cant find the refrence now
Can you do a review on more professional monitors 1440p for example 300-1000?
Hi, can I request review of Xoami 27" 1440P 165Hz 2K monitor.. Thank you
As soon as my Monitor arrived you make a new vid with better Monitors 😢
I just ordered the KTC H27T22S, which is the 180hz version of this
For 119.49
I hope the panel is at least this good or better
just got the monitor, it seems slightly worse in colors than the msi monitor (g27rqpf) i am replacing, but at least it is able to get to a good lower brightness which i need for my eyes
i think the contrast is better however, since my background is black, comparing side to side, this has better blacks
it also is only tilt adjustable -_-
i think the h27t22s for 120 is crazy value, and honestly, most anyone needs, everything else will definitely feel like you're paying a premium
@@seeking.eternitycan you access the factory menu and check what panel the monitor is using? you might be able to find an icc profile of another monitor with the same panel
@@red-likepines1124 i have no idea how to access that factory menu, it's not in the osd menu options, and can't find instructions for it on any forums that come up when i search for it unfortunately

KTCs settings thing is literally a blue version of pixio
So when can have a monitor have a higher nits Backlight Storbing mode with 1440p😥
How can you enable vrr on ps5 with this monitor??
Can you do the same vid but with the h27s17?
